Riscky's BAR-B-Q reviews
20Hadn't eaten yet. But I can only imagine from the smell in here that it's awesome food
If you want a real taste and scenery of history of one of the best in original BBQ places in Texas Riscky's is the place for a real American icon.
Riscky's BBQ ain't what it once was there getting away from the basics of BBQ I have gave it few more tries hear recently and to my surprise the brisket is still dry no flavor I grew up eating riscky's bbq now it seems they got away from traditional bbq technique. If you want some good fall bone ribs, brisket, sausage and plenty of other dishes they serve I recommend Heims bbq & Hurtados bbq A1
This original Ricky's has so many memories for me. The little sandwiches are a great bargain at 4 for 5 dollars. Even though I use to buy them 7 for a dollar and remember my Dad saying he bought them for his customers at 20 for a buck! So happy they are still open here. The decor well it's nostalgic. Transport you back in time. The sandwiches are a great way to feed a crowd and the bbq plates are amazing. Never had a bad experience with the food. I will say if you are into fancy this is not for you. Also it is a very small place mainly used for take out but there is a small area with tables to eat in. A true landmark for the Northside.
I enjoy the on a budget go to meal of 4 chopped beef sandwiches for $5.00 unfortunately they don't pile it on its maybe 4 ounces if that of meat you get on a bun but what do you expect it's only 5 bucks. The taste is pretty good. It's not that succulent bbq but it's worth a trip.
Good Ole riscky's bbq I can eat here any day
I dine in at this location, and the staff was very nice, excellent service
Food ad service is always awesome here I've been eating Ricky's since I was a kid love those place and recommend it to everybody
Local bbq that's been in Fort Worth a long time with several locations. Everything is done right.
This place is hit or miss lately but it's been more missed than hit. Today I stopped in to grab a to-go order I waited at the register to place the order for a very long time The lady in stripes saw me but she just wanted to continue eating and talking to her co-worker. I finally left without even ordering. I guess I'm going to have Lisa's chicken again.
Excellent place Excellent service I highly recommend it and the food is very delicious and affordable prices
Service was unattended then rude then served sloppy awful mess that supposed to be chop BBQ
I put 4 stars on the food cause it was thinner than usual on the chop sandwiches. But still tastes
Before The Food and the Service of the Employees Was Excellent, I Went after Time and There was The Hamburger That I Asked for Totally Cold Horrible, The Bree Like Wet and Without Cheese and Vley Expensive, I Will Not Buy Anything There Again.
BEFORE THE FOOD AND THE SERVICE OF THE EMPLOYEES WAS EXCELLENT, I WENT AFTER A TIME AND THERE WAS THE HAMBURGER THAT I ASKED FOR HORRIBLE TOTALLY COLD, THE BREAD LIKE WET AND WITHOUT CHEESE AND VERY EXPENSIVE, I WILL NOT BUY ANYTHING THERE AGAIN.
Original location, Full of antiques and BBQ! Friendly folks, and don't forget they have takeout!
This place is one on my top 2 list. The chopped beef sandwiches are freaking delicious, the french fries hot and unsalted just the way I like it. Can't wait to go back. People it's definitely worth the drive.gilcortez from Grand Prairie
As far as ketchup based, barbecue is delicious. Well, smoked, however, pickles and onions should come with it. And when you buy pickles and onions, they give you chopped onions instead of sliced, which are slitly aged and very little pickles even though they were purchased.
Food is good and they Nicest guy named (Eli) taking orders. Service is fast even at lunch time rush hour. Staff was all smiles and the rustic atmosphere is perfect for barbecue and stockyards Fort Worth. Stop by and say hi to Eli and the whole team at Risky’s Barbecue!
Decent food and very reasonable price. We ordered the Beef Rib Plate to go each time. It was one of the best in Texas. I wished they would remove the vane before cooking. The chicken was also good. I tried the brisket but I am not a fan of well done beef. My favorite side was coleslaw. I enjoyed this location more than the one in stockyard ad it is close to home, the parking is free. I am here every 2 weeks, wish they open on Sundays.
Love love love my Risckey's! Been going here for many many years! Love the atmosphere. It's my hideaway sometimes.
My brother took me here for my birthday, if you want the best bang for your buck, ask for the #2, comes with 3 huge sides and only for 64$, meal well-worth it for all you are getting, wont be disappointed, DELICIOUS!
