River Oaks Apartments, Tyler TX

I lived here two years ago, not a good a place to live, River took my rent money and paid some random company to get rid of pest in the apartment, because they do not have equipment. During the winter storm the heat in the air unit wasn't working, this was after the storm never came to fix it, it eventually warmed up outside, tried turning on the air it didn't work, they put this big loud fan next to bed instead, for almost a week. I can admit struggled hard during COVID but did what I could to keep my apartment, once my lease was up they put me on month to month with out my consent, it wasn't renewed because Leanne took my rent money for one little bug (pest) so I was behind, on top of new months rent, that's three payments, I told Leanne that I was ending the lease, and one of the office managers told me I couldn't move because I was still on the contract, after the fact they moved me to month to month. I ended my stay here, now here we are in 2023 I've been trying to get in contact with them for a year about paying this mess off my credit or who I need to talk to, came to the office several times, also called BH management, they are no better.my lease was up I moved, but don't know if I have a eviction on my name or not. Please avoid living here. Pretty soon you all will be hearing from a lawyer. The way they treat people is unacceptable and not too mention it's not a safe environment, there's no gate, people can just walk around freely and not live there, and cars are being broken into, and apartments, no cameras anywhere.my friend just had that experience over there a few weeks ago. The rent too high, and needs new appliances, the inside needs to be Renovated. The sinks are outdated, stoves, cabinets and the list goes on. I'm not going out without a fight! See you all in court!

While I'm really not an apartment person per se, I have enjoyed my apartment home here the last year and just renewed my lease for another twelve months. Anytime I have needed maintenance they arrive and fix anything and of course the pool is another nice amenity. Close to the loop and restaurants and stores. I have enjoyed my stay here.

Call center will schedule you an appointment with out a leasing agent contacting you to tell you they are closed for the weekend. Just drove two hours to tour this apartment and am very disappointed. MAKE SURE THE LEASING OFFICE IS AWARE, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

Teresa and April are amazing! So professional and will take really good care of you! I would definitely refer this property!

So far, we really like it! We did have cleaning to do, floors, bathrooms etc.
All in all, much better than we expected
