7Wonderful place to fish with the kids. Everyone had a good time. Daughter caught her first fish there. To bad it wasn't a keeper.
Good lights up as of this review. Rocks to break line directly out front if it. Still it's a fine pier and I go frequently for years now.
Only my second or third time visiting here, but it was fun. Personally not catching anything, but having a blessed time witnessing to others. A good number of caught, with one large Red (40", maybe about 35 lbs.)
Try to visit this place in the evening to avoid Texas heat. You do not have any facilities other than restrooms. The pier is lit but be carefull, some of the platform planks are loose. Good place to fish. Shrimp baits have worked best for me.
Evening time pass, good long fishing pier, with good lighting, has some rocks ahead of the pier so throw only towards sides, windy, and fishes are seasonal, some times more and sometimes no, sometimes only crabs, good spot.
Great place to not only fish during the day.but go there before sunrise & watch the sun coming up.beautiful.
