I paid to have the product delivered to my home. Their truck should have been retired from service decades ago. Their dump truck is underpowered and gets stuck in my yard, so the load couldn't be delivered where i needed it. I had to use my personal pick up and my tow straps to pull their truck free. Had to cut my tow straps after. Their driver promptly left once their truck was free. I should have charged for recovery services.

Good product, poor service. Make sure you stay and watch them weigh everything, if not you will get shorted and not just a little, a lot. Made the mistake of having it delivered and received 3 instead of 4. My fault for not watching and trusting you, your fault for being a corrupt money hungry business.

I've been going to this location since they moved further South, and I have nothing but good to say about them. I buy all my products from the. Their product is good, and their workers are excellent. They've always helped me out and in a good mood.

One of the employees hit our the trailer later, the answer of one of the employees was "Look the that sign, we are not responsible for damage". The service is horrible in my opinion. The prices are regular, l found better places.

Polite and easy to do business with! Called to order and paid over phone. Had masonry sand delivered to the driveway. Price for product and delivery was industry standard, maybe a little on the low side, yay! Product was exactly what we wanted and expected. Delivery and driver John were perfect! Will use again and recommend to anyone! Cheers, yall ROCK!

Good service, fair prices. Would have given 5 stars but none of the staff were wearing masks.

Roy and the guys at Rock n’ Dirt are the friendliest and most helpful landscape suppliers in town (maybe all of Texas). I own a landscape company so I have dealt with everyone in Austin. It doesn’t hurt that their prices are the lowest either. Roy helped me get out of a mess I got into buying stone from another company when the client didn’t like the quality of their rock. Seriously I can’t thank them enough. If you want the best product, customer service, and to work with guys that genuinely care about you, give Rock n Dirt your business.

Measure your load. I ordered 2 yards of dirt. My truck bed measures 1.5' high x 5.5' wide x 6' long (standard dodge 6' bed), which equates exactly to 1.83 yards. They put "two scoops" which is supposed to equal two yards. Only problem with this is that it didn't even reach my bed rails, let alone have a. 17 cubic yard on top. I went to the office to settle it up. Before even explaining why I'm reading this conclusion the two men in the front immediately get defensive stating they know what they are doing and I'm wrong and the difference is because when they move it to my bed it gets loose and more air inside it making it.shrink? Yes, they said because it has more air it shrinks. They continued to justify their arguement saying that when you buy ice cream that it has air in the container so you don't actually get one quart! At this point they stated "oh don't worry, I'm going to give you more, but you're not welcome to come back here anymore. We don't want your business. " They never once listened with calm logic to even attempt to settle it like gentlemen, because they know they are shorting people. They put maybe 1.5 yards in my truck at first. They added another bucket that was a little over half full making it right, but offered zero explanation or intelligent reasoning to their offer. Had they tried to take me out to the bucket, measure it, show the math on how they get there I'd have apologized if I was wrong. No need to "fire your customer" who's just trying to have a civil conclusion to a shortage. But they didn't do that because I DID do the math and they were wrong. I gave them 2 stars (instead of one?) for making it right, but they did it in the wrong way.

Don't worry, I have been a customer of theirs for years, I won't return. They made me feel terrible for their error, which in my book doesn't equate an error, it equates to theft.

Reply to their comment: I really didn't want to get upset. I really wanted to like you. If you would've simply had a conversation with me about math, shown me how you were figuring your measurements and explained how I was wrong in an intelligent measured mathematic way, not with hocus pocus ice cream air theories, then this could've gone much different. I came in to your office cool, calm, with an intelligent arguement that my hard numbers math that wasn't adding up to the amount I purchased giving you the opportunity to explain yourself so you could retained a happy customer. But instead berated me, practically called me stupid, and you fired a good paying repeat customer that had been using your business for over 10 years. I told you I hadn't done the math on that 8 years job yet, so I wasn't prepared to talk numbers on it, you knew that. We never asked for your free bag of whatever that was. It's still sitting in the back of the truck. Come get it if it means that much to you, I never wanted it.

Here's my math: I recieved EXACTLY 72" X 66" X 15". A simple Google search will tell you that is EXACTLY 1.527 cubic yards. Funny, how that ice cream math works.

Horrible service! Rude and I couldn’t get a straight price from them because I was in a company truck. Finally gave me a price that was WAY overpriced compared to other places I went to. Unprofessional and will highly HIGHLY not recommend this place.

I was not very impressed with Rock N Dirt. Two stars only because Roy was nice, but Nathaniel, his driver was very rude. First off, I was told the garden soil would be delivered, then day of was told it would have to be delivered in two different parts. Not a big deal except for the fact it was supposed to rain all week and needed to get that soil delivered on time. Then I was told the garden soil would be delivered between 8 am and noon. At 5: 15 i get multiple calls from Roy and Nathaniel complaining that the gate was closed to the property. Obviously i was very confused as the soil was supposed to be delivered by noon. Nathaniel was very rude and complaining he had been sitting there for some time. Again considering i thought the soil had been delivered by noon (this is the delivery time THEY set out for themselves) I did not appreciate the rudeness as i was frantically calling trying to get the gate open. When I called back the next day to make sure the second delivery of the soil had been delivered, Nathaniel once again gave me attitude that I was checking up. Once again, they said they would have it delivered by 9 am and it was 10 am when I called and they were just loading it up (which wouldn't of been a huge problem, but it was supposed to start raining soon and the soil couldn't be delivered in the rain). Needless to say I did not appreciate the rudeness for delivery times that they themselves set and then did not deliver upon.
