Rockdale Speedy Lube

Ok.so only putting this here for a fair warning. I went here to get my brakes replaced. Now mind you I am mechanically inclined I can do them myself if I have time. Anyway first thing he says is I have one bad rotor so I need to replace them both and that was just him glancing at them. And I assure you my rotors are perfectly fine. There only a couple years old. Truthfully I could get another 6 mos or so out of my brakes. Anyway, I said let’s just do the brakes than he says oh ok yeah your rotors are both good. Than he proceeds to jack up my truck, he started by putting the jack in the middle of the truck on the skid plate under the oil pan… needless to say that wouldn’t be a good idea. He than moved the jacks around about 10 times trying to find a place to jack up my truck “ with a jack that was not even working correctly” and it took 45 minutes to get one tire off after all this process. By than I had him just put it back on and I left. I was uncomfortable with them doing any brake service on my vehicle at that point. Hope I saved someone from a disaster.

Went to get state inspection on vehicle. While work was being done two of the employees were arguing. They slammed the hood of my vehicle down hard. Real nice action in front of customers. The owner of this place needs to redirect his employees on customer ser ice. I will never go back. Nor will any of my friends.

Love this place! They were super sweet and explained the problem that my vehicle had in ways I could understand. They didn't pressure me into getting more work done than I had asked, recommended next steps, and were upfront with all pricing. If I could give them more stars I would! I got oil change, inspection, tires rotated, and new filters. The gentleman that did the work on my truck even showed me everything he did, and showed me what to do next and explained why. Definitely coming here again next time I need work done! (:

Arrived 15 minutes to close for an oil change. They took my car in and changed the oil and did an inspection. Good people, reasonable price I would recommend

Went in for ac flush and recharge then left with no ac. This was a Friday they just tried to top it off watching YouTube videos on my car. Was told to bring it back Monday same thing ended up having to take to a mechanic and it blew a pressure sensor in my condenser for being to full.

My first visit won't be the last, if in the area. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful. Just happened to be in Rockdale that day from Bastrop. Glad I stopped in.they clean the oil off my carpet too, such cool guys.

Spent over $100 getting my oil changed. I looked at the sticker that they put on my car. They did it for 6000 miles instead of 3000. After driving it 3000 I just changed it myself and the oil was super super black and watery. Not trustworthy.

My first visit won’t be my last. In contrast to the “take it or leave it” attitude towards customer service which is common, this place is run by people who care about a job well-done and definitely where I’ll be taking my business in the future.

They are terrible, the customer service is the worse, they fail vehicle inspection for no reason, the prices are ridiculous. I hope everyone takes their business somewhere else. I would NOT recommend them at all!

I brought a work truck for sticker inspection only to be told by Austin that it would not pass due to weak power steering pump pressure. I instantly guffawed this indicating that this wasn't a safety issue and I'd obviously driven the truck there. Austin stuck to his position. Well, when we're wrong, we should admit it quickly and emphatically. It turns out this GMC 3500CK has 'Hydroboost' brake actuator driven off power steering pump. If Austin hadn't checked and insisted that it should be repaired, I may have had a real brake failure with consequences. I'm replacing power steering pump and will certainly go back to Rockdale Speedylube for inspection. You can trust these guys know what they're talking about.

Oil change. New wipers. New air filter. Under new management. Frey rocks. Went over and beyond. Will definently be back.

The guys were really helpful and did a good job. The prices weren't too bad all things considering. And were truthful about what I needed done and recommended some things to get done but I decided against them for now.

Worst place I ever went to for oil change. They said my brake fluid was low and recommended the brake flush. Thought it would be good to have it done so I said sure. No mention of price was ever made. When I went to pay, they charged me $111.00 for the purge. Never again will I trade there. Life is to short. It’s just a couple of kids running the place.
