Roosevelt Park reviews
17Since having a toddler I've realized that I now have to compete with teens smokin' weed and watching YouTube videos for playground space
Was at a baby shower other than the rude micro managing employees, the place was clean. The only problem was the staff were very rude and would not allow any decorations inside and were constantly interjecting on what we could and could not do. Basically babysitting the baby shower.
We reserved the clubhouse for our baby shower. As soon as we got there the lady who watches over the events was rude. We reserved it but had to make our event from 1 to 4 because we couldn't have a free hour before or after to set up and clean, so we had to pay for 12 to 5. We werent allowed to hang up decorations on the walls and windows. There is a lady who sits in a little office watching everyone come in and out. She was not friendly at all. She didn't even say hi to anyone. She just stood there like a prison guard which made us feel very uncomfortable. She was no help at all. And the kids weren't allowed to go in the patio area and walk on the brick wall like it was going to fall apart or something. If you want to have a strict event with someone watching your every move and make y'all feel uncomfortable, this is the place.
I walked the trail alongside the San Antonio river and it was really lovely. Partly shaded in long stretches. I saw many walkers and bikers. The park and trails felt safe. I didn't see any wild animals but I did see plenty of bugs like butterflies among all the flowers. Very pretty and peaceful. I love the little spots that allow you to sit in the shade.
Rented the pavilion there n everything was good except the stinky homeless laying on the tables. N I didn't see why I had to book the pavilion if the ones in charge didn't even come out to make sure we were the right party for that time.
The clubhouse is so nice. Went to a baby shower and it was beautiful. I've also rented the pavillion behind the club house for a party. It was perfect.
My kids loved it, they gotta great playground, a rock wall to climb and a shaded river walk trail
Excellent park. Clean and well kept. Does need drinking water available as there is no where in immediate area to purchase any.
We started at Roosevelt Park and walk the trail towards downtown Riverwalk, they connect. It was pretty hot, so there was not alot of other people. Good to ride bikes, and paved so you can walk with strollers as well.
I did a baby shower for my daughter. It was very quiet and there was security which I loved very much.
It was an insight pavilion closer with air conditioning it was very clean and nice. And very reasonable.
It was very tranquil maintenance Park maintenance keep it very clean it was quite enjoyable
Do lots of bike riding from this park. Southside trails are a must do! Missions, art, beautiful river view. Lots to choose from. Longer ride toward Pleasanton, Mitchell lake. Other direction takes u to blue star art area and of course King William. I do road bike but there are many b-cycles along routes.
Take advantage of the great temps.
Pool, diving board, picnic, playground, hike the S. A.river under gigantic pecan trees. Most natural fun under the sun!
Has a huge swimming pool for the summertime, a vast picnicking area, & 2 playgrounds. Some of the newer things about this park is the walking/biking trail that goes all the way to the Missions. Still, lots of childhood memories. I've brought my kids here & now I'm bringing my grandkids.
We used the clubhouse for a daytime celebration. It's a nice open room for gatherings and having police on campus made us feel secure. Will visit again
