I highly recommend this place. Yummy Chicken fried Steak, Fish, BBQ, and lets don't forget the desserts.

I paid $5 plus tax for FOUR UNSEASONED fries bro, only got 4 fries for $5 and they were unseasoned tasted bad
Great food and its like going back in time the order was ready fast its a must go in Baytown.
Been waiting to try this place looks like I'll be waiting till the end of time since when I went I waited to be seated or get service. I never got to try the food I'm sure it's good but I'll never know.

Interior is pretty shabby, exterior, too. Eaten here dozens of times over the years, but has gone downhill. Covid has taken its toll on local businesses and staffing.
Handmade patties on the Rooster Burger! So juicy and such fresh toppings. I like that I can put it together myself so each bite is perfection. All their food is great! Service is great too, such friendly people, a great hometown restaurant! Must try the pie!
Lunch was pretty good as always. A bit too much seasoning on my burger but just on one side of it. Otherwise it was excellent. Place could use a bit of a face lift and cleaning but so could my house lol.
Love this place. It used to be the staple of Baytown food in the 80's. It's slowly gotten smaller, and sad to see it being hurt more by COVID. If you are in or near the booming downtown of Baytown, stop in and grab you one of those awesome chicken fried steaks and all the veggies. Plates like grandma used to make.
Not as good as it use to be. Food quality has really falling off in the last few months. No longer open on Saturdays. Never open on Sundays.
Amazing ol school cooking. Hamburger steak and chicken fried steak are unreal! Reminds you of a better time, a place with great food, great price, and great service. It's worth the drive.
The Chicken Fried Steak is absolutely the best in the area. It is not loaded with hot sauce or pepper like other restaurants, it is truly the best. The steak serving size is large and cooked to perfection. You will not be disappointed. Also the ladies that helped me place my order and get the food ready were so kind.
