Rooster's Roadhouse, Decatur TX

We were just passing through the area and this place happened to be open later than most everything around it, so it was chosen by default. Our server didn't give us his name, but he was friendly and attentive. The menu was awesome, and we had trouble deciding what to try. The three of us settled on totally different dishes and all three were fantastic! The cheese steak sandwich was the best but not by much. Great ambiance, excellent food, good service. Can't really ask for more than that!

Food was above average. Interesting assortment of staple fare with a twist (ie. Pico de Gallo is Pickle de Gallo and quite tasty). Seemed to have issues with order customization. Service was pretty poor. The girl at the front told us where our table was so she "didn't have to walk us up the stairs", our waitress kept disappearing for 10-20 mins at a time because she was trying to work the bar too. I guess that is forgivable except everything we asked her for (sauce.drinks.etc) either came wrong or came so late as to no longer be needed. Our app actually came out at the end of the meal becasue she "put them in seperate to see which one would come first"? !? Had we waited on her to get us basic asks our food would have gone cold. Finally one of the other servers saw our plight and jumped in and got us all our sauces, drinks, etc in 90 secs but by that point the meal was over. I would be willing to try them again but leary of getting that server ever again.

This establishment is so good! I love the homelike atmosphere, great food & good service (I think they were short handed the day we went for lunch as the bartender was also taking tables).

It was our first time to visit here. I had burger, with the home made fries, my wife had brisket sandwich. Both were exceptional. We come thru about every month.we will be back for sure. Would have given them 6 stars if it were an option

Had this place once and was disappointed, but that was a few years ago so I decided to give them a second try. It was worse. Waited 25min for cold appetizers, 35min for cold food. Fried pickles tasted as if they were battered in salt. It’s sad when my 9yr old daughter looks at me and says “daddy I don’t won’t to eat here again. ” Not sure why there’s so many good reviews. Probably all the teens in high school that work here writing the reviews.

Awesome twists on menu staples. Love the redneck sushi! Patio area great place to be! Service with a smile and very interactive servers. Texas Hot Sandwich is addictive!

A foodie's oasis! Meats smoked in house, sauces made from scratch. Try the redneck sushi (essentially mini pork sandwiches) or pulled pork nachos and you can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches. If you're into vodka, ask for a Celia Lemonade: Double Deep Eddy Lemon, Lemonade, and a quick splash of raspberry puree in a short glass. Tart, strong, and delicious!

Very good burgers. They have a nice atmosphere with dining and pool tables in the back. Decent beer selection, but could be better. Wish there were more spots like this in town.

It is always good and very friendly. The only issue was having to wait to get classes refilled but the overall experience was very good.

The brisket burger was spectacular! My husband had the smoked tenderloin cheese steak sandwich and called it his new favorite! Great atmosphere! We will definitely be back!

Was very busy. Only my second time to eat here. We sat upstairs this time. Great decor in this establishment. The wait staff was great. The food was very good.

Service was horrible waiter was just overwhelmed. Waited at least an hour just to get our order taken. Almost that long for food. Food was cold. Wasn’t correct. Very disappointing as this was my buy dinner. Will definitely think twice about coming back. Sad thing is we don’t have but a few sit down dinner restaurants in Decatur.

This is the underside of the bun. Full of grease. Disgusting! I live 1/2 mile down the road on 730 and it’s not the first time I’ve had a bad experience here. First, a few months back I received a burger that was well undercooked and when I was in the process of complaining, my sunglasses got stolen from the bar. If you’re so, desperate to get down, go to roosters!

I spent almost 100 on a to go order and I got cold stale fries with chicken strips that didnt taste like chicken. An inedible burger with again stale fries. The brisket sandwich was ok but not great. Not a lot of flavor. Would not go there again

Atmosphere was great. Staff was very nice. My food was good but not great. My buddy's was better looking. Had fun there. Definitely would go again.

Service was great food was not good cold and dry fresh were cold and hard. Meat the same will not visit again over priced for nasty food

Interesting menu, exceptional product from the kitchen, festive atmosphere with lots of TV's at a popularity place. Worth going out of the way to return.

Trinity was perfect. Made the meal worth every penny!
Started with fried jalapeños then King burger and brisket hash bowl.

I love this place, but recently I have gone the service has been lacking. The food is still amazing, but ther service needs lots of attention.
