Rosen's Bagels, Austin TX

The attendant was on the phone when I arrived at this walk up shop on the edge of Republic Square Park downtown. I waited for 3 to 5 min while he finished his conversation.

I ordered two Rose n Shine breakfast sandwiches $8. You can choose the bagel with egg, type of protein and cheese among other add-ons. I chose the Jalapeno Cheese bagel with bacon and pepper jack cheese. The other was a Parmesan bagel with ham and swiss. I also ordered a hash brown $2.

When I got home and opened the hash brown, it was very thin and smaller than McDonald's but tasty. Btw I haven't been to McD in quite awhile but looked up their prices. (OMG hash browns go for $1 to $2.99 or higher in some states.)

The sandwich was ok. Bagels in Texas just aren't the same as in the Northeast. Caution: If you are not a fan of garlic (Not a fan especially as a surprise), this is in the spread that they put on the sandwich. I did know that they put a garlic mayonnaise on the sandwich. I was so hungry that I ate the Jalapeno Cheese sandwich but I went to return the other one.

The attendant said he couldn't take the sandwich back. I asked him to make me another one then. He said throw it in the trash but I opted to give it to a table of homeless people instead.

He made me the sandwich but said I should have read the menu (which only says spread) and that he only had a plain bagel left which was highly unlikely.

Food was decent, service was sketchy and make sure to ask what the sauces consist of when ordering.

I order plain bagel with cream cheese. 0830 am received the wrong order at 0815 am over all 3 customers.
Took other 8 minutes to make plain bagel.
Bagel was cold not -
Not toasted.

Service and staff super nice. My bagel was hard and bland. Sadly I would not recommend nor go back area is also taken over by vagrants

Have been to domain location before and this location did not compare. Bagels we got here were very stale and over toasted. Would not go back to this location.

Got a bagel sammich and iced coffee. Food and service were great. It was nice that they had tables out so that you could eat in the square.

Trash. The everything bagel tasted like a week old freezer burnt pretzel warmed up in the mid day sun. I tried cutting it with a knife when I got home and almost severed my finger. Skip this place and wait until lunch.

I really wanted to like this place! But they didn’t get either of our orders even close… coffee was good…. But it’s located in a park where there’s a homeless encampment, needles were under the table we sat at

We got a “not-a-taco” & “the cure”.
I was very excited to have a bagel for the first time out here in ATX, unfortunately, it did not go well.
The cheddar jalapeño bagel has stale & so was the bacon, it felt like a was chewing on a Laffy -Taffy! My jaw was tired by the end of the first half, I chewed slowly because I was afraid I’d break a tooth.
The poppy bagel was better.
Y’all have great flavor profiles but need to keep your quality of products higher. We spent $25 and the quality was not there.

Solid bagel shop in Republic Square. I always test the bagel & lox at new places I visit, and Rosen’s absolutely doesn’t skimp on the schmear. It’s slightly light on the lox and loads on some thick sliced tomatoes. Overall, still very tasty although a very tall sandwich that can fall apart if you aren’t careful biting.

People were nice, bagels tasted great, but got a bout of food poisoning after eating one of their Rose N Shine bagel sandwiches

OMG! This place was amazing. Quick and friendly service at the Republic Square location. The bagels were fresh.and some of the best schmears are the best I've ever tasted.
FOODIE PRO TIPS:
1. Get the Egg Everything Bagel (TRUST ME!)
2. Put the scallion schmear on one half and the basil lemon on the other.
3. BITE DOWN THE MIDDLE
THIS BITE BLEW MY MIND YOU GUYS!

Always a pleasure to come by for a quick bagel bite! Salmon and lox schmearwich has a lot to it, but it's my favorite!

Was our go to bagel place inAustin but it’s been a little inconsistent the past month.

Happy little surprise when I stumbled on this place! Great breakfast bagel to get the day started and lovely cuppa!

Bagels were very mid and served cold.cold brew coffee left more to be desired.better off going to Bully Bagel or Wholly Bagel if you want to satisfy your bagel craving

Love these guys, but I can’t give 5 stars for the day-old bagels sold at this location. After toasting, they’re still not as good as they are fresh from their bakery and store up on Burnet.

The location is good, the workers were friendly, and our order came out pretty quickly.

Was excited to try this place but the first (and only) bagel I got was completely burnt. Unfortunately I realized this after I already left. Terribly disappointing.

Ordered a lox bagel and was extremely disappointed. Very tomato heavy, bagel was extremely rubbery and there was very little lox on the bagel.

The service is fast, but the bagel is pretty hard so they don’t go well for the sandwiches as they are too big
