The staff is fantastic, unbeatable. The working desk in the room i occupied was very limited in surface space and availability of outlets for devices that are now very common.

My son and I spend a week at the Mansion every summer, it's how we re-charge our batteries for the whole next year. Love seeing the welcoming familiar faces, especially Steve.

Best hotel experience I've ever had. The service, amenities, and finishes on the property were all wonderful. I loved having a drink by the pool, loved the bed, loved the location. Just loved it!

Beautiful place. Being in the heart of Dallas only slightly detracts from it. Just a little crowded but Beautiful.

I have stayed in hotels the world over, and with my most recent visit to The Mansion in August, I'm reminded again why this may well be my favorite hotel anywhere.

The original Rosewood property, The Mansion is an icon in Texas, long revered for its hospitality and cuisine. Over forty years since its opening, this rings true today as ever on the sprawling Spanish colonial estate - whose beauty is apparent from the moment you drive up and hand off the keys to the valet. The hotel exudes an ambiance of "Old Texas, " with service to match. No request is too big for the Mansion team, who look after each guest from check-in to check-out, taking care to remember him or her by name. In the duration of my recent four-night stay, I struggle to come up with a single problem or issue. Nothing overlooked!

The rooms, which were TASTEFULLY renovated within the last few years, are plush and spacious. Many have balconies, which I especially enjoy. The bathrooms are luxurious, with Italian marble showers and large soaking tubs. The air conditioning works very well in the hot Texas summer. And the beds are some of the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The minibar is well-stocked, and housekeeping ensures there is always extra water on hand. Turndown service is a real delight, and is really a second full housekeeping treatment. The many books are a thoughtful addition.

While at the property, I spent plenty of time at the Mansion bar, which has some of the best ambiance of any bar I've visited and attracts a very chic Dallas crowd. My friends in the area are always eager to join for a drink there. It's dimly lit and decorated in an inviting, Texas-Western style. The staff couldn't be friendlier, and I got to know most of them over the course of my stay. The live music on weekends is exceptional - just be sure to reserve a table well in advance if you want one!

Just off the bar is the Mansion dining room, which as anyone in Dallas knows has a long and storied history. The restaurant is warm and sophisticated; I enjoyed the seven-course tasting menu paired with an exceptional bottle of vintage Bordeaux. Again, the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The sommelier assisted in making the perfect selection. I lingered long into the evening here.

Lastly, I must commend the all-star concierge staff helmed by Mary Stamm and her assistant, Evan Baker. Both members of Les Clefs d'Or, they know Dallas inside and out, and have several times helped secure a difficult reservation for me. Mary has been at the Mansion since the 1980s, and bends over backwards to accommodate any request, always with a smile. She is a real treasure and I hope to continue seeing her for years to come!

I am already looking froward to my next visit in November.

We found room service lacked options.
One of our rooms was considerably warmer than the other despite insisting it had to be fixed.
Room telephones did not function properly for two days after reporting the problem.
Room was not properly cleaned and we stayed for 6 nights.
Lack of consistency on preparation and presentation of the food.

Spent a wonderful, long weekend with my girlfriends at the Mansion. Every staff member was so friendly and helpful. The property is stunning and very well maintained. Room service, poolside service, turn down service, everything in between was superb. Will definitely be staying here again next time I visit Dallas. Puts our luxury hotels in Charleston, S. C.to shame!

Fantastic hotel! The room was wonderful and very quiet. Remarkably quiet in fact. Breakfast was delicious and they make a great cappuccino!

Stunning hotel. The attention to details is meticulous! I forget making the bed and closing the curtains for guests was a thing. Beautiful decor, nice and friendly staff. Super upscale and quiet. The amenities and their cowboy shampoo and body cream smelled so good. A real treat for me after couple days in Vegas.

Although we advised at the time of booking that we would need a ride to a restaurant the evening of our stay when we entered our room we received a call that the hotel car would not be available due to other bookings. A mild nuisance but worth pointing out the failure in communications in the booking process.

Location is wonderful & smart but not central however with a car service available, this isn't a problem.
Service is impeccable.

We had an excellent 3 night stay! From the moment we stepped out of our Uber we were greeted by the nicest staff with ice cold water and checked right in. The room was beautiful and comfortable and the room amenities were lovely. We enjoyed an afternoon at the pool that was a delight and the restaurant and bar downstairs were also great! I would absolutely stay again and look forward to staying at the next Rosewood Property!

Our stay was mostly good. It took 3 tries to get a room we liked. The first had a view blocked by trees, the 2nd had a view blocked by the domed roof of building right in front of the window. The 3rd has a nice garden view. The in-room amenities were attractive but it was hard to get the product out of the containers, like ketchup used to be. The toilet seat was loose. Otherwise, the room was very nice. When we asked the luggage deliverer for additional creamer for the coffee bc i like my coffee very light, the front desk attendant called to question the request. We enjoyed the pool. The bar is beautiful. The restaurant is beautiful but the food was not good. So, I give this hotel a 7 vs the 10 I had expected.

The air conditioning wasn’t working properly in our suite and it got very humid and hot. Other than that it was beautiful and we enjoyed the complimentary honeymoon gifts!

For those that desire tradition and the luster of a Grande Dame hoteling experience - have at it. It's like stepping back in time and everything sort of flows that way - from the menu (basic) to the rooms (uninspired but servicable) and the service (missing in parts). It's not elevated though, and provides no uplifting to any expectations. Breakfast could be a little more forward and modern, and that dining area is a little '90's. Service was incomplete at best: our credit card was hard charged before the cancelation window on a 2nd room and when canceled before the deadline it took 2 weeks and 3 phone calls to get the charge removed. A/C was middling and took an engineer to visit. I left my credit card in the bar overnight (my fault) but it went to the safe and two security guards couldn't find it and then there was no one on duty that could open the safe when I was finally able to speak to the bar staff. Could have been just left at the front desk that's manned 24/7. The trouble with surge pricing is - are you really a $1000/night hotel? IMHO, decidedly not. I did have a very memorable steak and the bartender was on point. Meh.

The Mansion is one of America’s great hotels. The physical accommodations are beautiful and timeless. The service is warm and impeccable. And the food is spectacular.
