First time at Roxy’s and had a great experience. Brooke did a fantastic job and very personable. Will definitely be back.

Took my daughter today and Brooke did a amazing job. I've been looking for someone to cut my girls curly hair perfect and she went above and beyond. We have fond her stylist, my daughter left with a huge smile.

I took my sister here to get a haircut and she loved it! Laura did an amazing job and did exactly what she asked for. We are for sure coming back!

This review is months overdue but still every bit as earned. I went to Roxy’s and was surprisingly anxious. I’ve been DIYing my own hair for about 3 years and I was very worried about feeling judged. My fears were completely unnecessary as that was the last thing I felt with Roxy. I could only give her a vague idea of what I wanted, because it was the first time I had asked for a “curly cut” for my naturally wavy hair, but she Nailed. It. I initially thought I’d have to have a lot cut off, but Roxy gave me an amazing cut and kept so much of my length. She was also so considerate of my routine, and made sure to check ingredients of any product she used on my hair and ran it by me before using anything. It’s been about 2 months and I seriously think of my hair cut almost every day because I love it that much. My curls are THRIVING, and my hair feels so healthy.

Roxy's Hair Salon deserves Five Diamonds! Being new to San Antonio I had previously tried two highly reviewed hair salons with quite disappointing results. I feel so very fortunate to have finally discovered Roxy's Hair Salon! Roxy's is the best kept secret in S. A. Having difficult to control/style curly-frizzy hair I was beyond thrilled with the amazing results and experience I had at Roxy's thanks to Marisela my awesome stylist. She patiently took the time to actually listen to exactly what I wanted, and magically made it happen! My highlighting, cut and styling exceeded my expectations. The warm and welcoming vibe from Roxy and her highly skilled styling angels made me feel like I'd been going there my entire life. Kudos to Roxy, Marisela, and Roxy's entire beautiful team for their amazing expertise, treat you like family atmosphere and above and beyond professional expertise!

Staff is very friendly. I just had a haircut nothing fancy but Brooke gave me the layers that I wanted.

I did have some issues coming here. I made 2 appointments online. One for me, and one for my daughter. They were for 2 pm - 330pm for a wash/cut/style for $55 for me and a kids cut at 230pm - 3pm for my 12 year old for $16 for my daughter. I scheduled myself to work with "Roxy, " the owner, because I guessed that if she owned the place, she had to be pretty good.

Well, whenever we got there at 150pm, she had a family of 3 children that she was working on, of whom she just seemed to just start on the first child, and she told me that I'd be with someone else and my daughter would be with someone else other than who we scheduled as well.

My daughter's cut was pretty bad. We had to get my mom to correct it whenever we got home (my mom was a master cosmetologist for a period of time, but no longer does hair, however, she is thankfully visiting for the holidays from out of town and corrected my daughter's hair). We were charged $30 instead of the advertised price of $16 for her cut. Also, the young woman who did my daughter's haircut was wearing a food service smock. That's extremely unhygienic. There are different smocks for hair stylists because they don't get hair caught in them. Hair can carry bacteria in it, which is why, in general, you'll see stylists wearing slick smocks, not cloth ones. It's similar to why an esthetician should never double dip a stick for wax into a waxing pot. Bacteria growth. Also, it looked as if it hadn't been washed in some time, which made it even worse.

My cut was much better, and I do like it a lot. I only received a cut/style and was charged $50 instead of what I booked, wash/cut/style for $55.

Also, the system that they have automatically brings up the first tip as a 30%, then, if I recall correctly, 40%, then 50%. That's just wild. In general, tipping for haircuts/styles is similar to food service, 15 - 20%. I went to school myself to become an esthetician in 2009 and became licensed in 2010 for the state of Georgia. I worked as a licensed esthetician in Atlanta for 6 years, and never have I ever seen anywhere suggest a tip of 30% as a starting point.

Looking back, I received an email showing that my appointments were changed and that I should've been charged $30 for my cut and $16 for my daughter's haircut. It looks as if the hairstylists added in their own $20 tip and $14 tip, then turned the system to me to request another tip? I gave a $15 for my cut and a $9 tip for my daughter. Whenever I can get screenshots of the charges in my checking account, I will add them. I did not change this to be just a cut/style, btw. Someone else did this.

This place is a bit unprofessional, and I'd suggest going elsewhere to avoid unprofessionalism.

Maricel did a GREAT job blending my natural hair to my extensions. BEST job I have ever had someone blending my natural hair and trimming them to fit perfectly.
I went in for trim on extensions and walked out with top service and very pleased with Roxy's work every time I go for haircuts.

Roxy is a lifesaver and I will not go anywhere else so long as she is in business. I had a terrible experience at another salon where they cut my hair much shorter than I wanted and it was a really bad cut as well. I thought for sure I was just going to have to live with it for a while but somehow Roxy was able to fix it and it looks better than I could’ve imagined!

Today I had the pleasure to not only meet Roxy who was super sweet but marisela. Marisela did a relaxer and styled my hair. She did a fabulous job! Look I haven’t come out of a salon in 20 years where I didn’t redo my hair when I got in the car. I didn’t today! She styled it beautifully for my face shape. She was knowledgeable about my hair texture. I was going from a natural style back to perm and she knew what it took to maintain that style and my relaxed style. Please ask for marisela great hairstylist! I love it!

Laura cut my hair today and she did a fantastic job! The facility is clean and calm and the staff are all very nice and personable. I would highly recommend this place and I will definitely use this salon again in the future!

Roxy’s was by far my best hair salon experience I have EVER had! Brooke is AMAZING at what she does and the sweetest person you will ever meet. I was there what seemed to be all day but the hospitality of Roxy as well as her employees make you feel as if you are among family! Thank you Brooke I love my hair and my kids do too

Went in with blond hair. Asked for balayage with dark roots and platinum blonde ends. I came out with DARK hair! I was nearly in tears! I told her how much I hate my hair to be all over dark. Then, I was told she just over toned it and it would lighten up to the platinum in a few washes. I've waited almost 2 weeks of washes I. Needless to say, it is not blonde, it's light brown and looks terrible. I have never gone in for blonde and come out dark brown. I was charged $125.00 (half price) because I was so upset. No attempt made to correct it before I left, no offer of color correction if it didn't wash out to the right color. I have just a bit longer than shoulder length hair and I sat for 5 hours for this color that she said she knew how to do. Zoie seemed very sweet, but I couldn't be more disappointed in this whole situation.

Roxy was able to schedule my haircut appointment within the time frame I needed within a few days of my call. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had long, thick and curly in some spots hair and she cut it a little below my collar bones with mid length layers. It is exactly what I was looking for and couldn’t be happier.
