I love Kaiser it's very forgiving, wide open easy to score well on. The greens were good niether fast or slow, pace was perfect, flipin weather was brutal.

Course is in solid shape but if you go play, you better bring your own water because there’s none to drink out on the course. (Which is wild considering how hot it’s been).

You’ll rarely see a refreshments cart (not sure they even have one anymore). If you do, it’s like seeing an oasis in a desert.

Oh and if you tee off in the afternoon, plan ahead for food because the clubhouse closes at 6pm… even on Friday’s (and I’d assume the weekends as well.)

With the pace of play out there lately, you’ll have time to kill between holes…

So in short, plan ahead and bring your own cooler with food and drinks…

The actual course is in great shape. Extremely great deal with cheap green fees. The driving range I wouldn't recommend as the only thing worth hitting out of it is a sand wedge. Understandable though

Set your expectations. This is a public course in an expressive golf market. If you want fancy and $100+ green fees there are plenty of places to go. If you want to drink with a club in you hand there are a indoor simulators and Top Golf locations. But if you want to spend a relaxing day with most of your hard earned money in your pocket and enjoy a fairly well maintained and design course than this is a good choice. Fairly open design but lined with water and trees. Avoid the fairways of most courses that are lined with expensive homes and step into the wild side at Kaiser.

The course is in great shape. The crews have done a great job of keeping the city courses in good shape. They were adding a ring of sod to every green, but we adapted.

Stop telling people to come up here early to squeeze in then make them wait till their scheduled time. I asked if my name was called and the old man said your tee time isn't for 40 minutes and I said I know. I checked in over ana hour and a half early. Stop telling people lies. Just let them come at their scheduled time. If people drop out, that's your problem not mine. We have things to do

For the price, this was a pretty good course with a lot of variety for this open modern flatter golf course, but with a good mix of hazards and enough elevations change to make it interesting. Probably the best ATX muni golf course of the bunch. Greens were fairly quick but a little lacking of grass, probably due to the winter storm a few weeks back.

Review based on course maintenance and price. On a Thurs, $53 with cart included. Course very well maintained and greens were excellent. Fairways and rough are distinctly separate and love that. Didn’t expect this muni course to be much but value and overall is definitely 5

Renovated greens were great, fairways were perfect, rough is tough. Great conditioned course with a great layout. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Driving range sucks because they don’t know how to keep the grass in good condition for more than a month out of the year. Thus forcing people to hit on the awful mats all year long.

Love this course but greens are bad very summer. Prices are reasonable; on course beverage service is rare.

It's a shame what they do to this fine golf course. Play anywhere else. The greens are a completely unplayable. Just 2 wks ago there wasn't a problem, a little fuzzy and slow maybe. Now it's impossible to roll a 3-ft putt on the trash that's left. But hey, they still don't have a problem charging full freight for green fees. Somebody should be fired. Vote with your dollars and avoid Roy Kizer.

I've always loved this course but the greens where horrible the other day. I know all about summer arriation or the fungus that can effect this course, the price should have reflected that.

Course is good. Just going through growing pains as it’s one of the only driving ranges close to downtown/South Austin/East Austin.

The problems that come with a surge in population growth the city has experienced (traffic, housing prices, transients) has infiltrated down to my favorite driving range as well. I grew up spoiled with Golfsmith off of I-35 and Hank Haney driving range (off of Mopac - Yes, Home Depot all the way down to Mimi’s Cafe was a driving range - Austin was a much simpler place 15 years ago)

It was one of the only driving ranges where you can hit off the grass but it’s gotten so busy, the grass doesn’t have time to grow. Now they have us hit from the mats which has a totally different feel to it. To top it off, the range grinder for unlimited buckets is now $70 compared to $60 before. If you try to get in a practice bucket after getting off of work at 5, expect to wait for a spot to open up and by the time you’re ready to get your 2nd bucket of unlimited balls, they’ll sound off on the intercom that you have 15 mins on the range.

Can’t book a weekend tee time no matter how hard you try. I tried booking 6 days in advance, they told me they don’t start taking Saturday reservations until Tuesday. I call Tuesday at 6am, they tell me they start taking reservations at 7am over the phone, and 9am online. From 6: 59am-7: 45am I called 76 times (not an exaggeration) and didn’t get through. On the 77th attempt, I got through and was told the earliest tee time was after 12: 00pm. Why start taking reservations at 7am on the phone but not until 9am online? This system just wastes people’s time.

Had a great time playing golf here today. Perfect weather just a few weeks after having a winter storm. The greens were in amazing condition and the fairways are pretty wide open. Definitely would recommend checking it out!

Worst experience golfing ever. The cashier/attendant for the Kizer side was rude and condescending. I won’t be going back.
