Plays garbage music entirely too loud. Even after they’ve closed for the night. 3 people are in your bar at your busiest, you don’t need to have it up to 11.

Amazing vibes within this bar. My waiter Rodrigo was awesome and very attentive. Food was delicious, drinks were definitely on point.

I will be back, and asking for Rodrigo as my waiter again!

Thanks for hosting our large party of 10 before the Stars-Pens game. You were about the only restaurant that could take us. Food and service was good. Beer selection could be a little better. Not all of your taps had beer on them. I like the small menu.

Closed at 4: 30 on Christmas Eve even though their social media, their website, etc.all said open til 12: 30. Nothing on the phone message either. Only found out because we were there at 5 to get drinks before my birthday dinner and the entrance was closed off. Disappointing. Wish management prioritized communication so we didn’t spend an hour before dinner with nothing to do.

In response to the management’s reply: Yeah, dude, that’s cool. I’m glad you do. Maybe update your website so people know about it?

LOL UPDATE: these “pleasant owners” keep getting sketchier, they refuse to address the fact they have this listed as “large party gratuity”… honestly pathetic. Good luck since you’re always empty every other time of the year. Also I tip 20% all the time, but don’t appreciate being swindled. I have a bright idea for you.change your POS to say “holiday gratuity”… I know it’s really hard to use your brain. Embarrassing this is the response from the owner. Enjoy your holiday Mr. Smallmind. Cannot wait for another restaurant to come in once this closes down.
They add automatic gratuity of 20% for ordering one drink at the bar and it’s labeled as “large party” when calling them out on this they blocked and laughed. Avoid at all costs, they are clearly hiding their practices. It’s not the fact they are adding 20% but they add it hidden and then avoid commenting on this practice. Creepy as hell. AVOID AND BEWARE

Went here for Valentine’s Day, the people at the front the walked us to our table were nice but the waiter seem like he was having a bad day. He was not rude but very inattentive. My husband order the wagyu Hager stake and the stake was not only lacking and flavor and overprice but it was also inconsistently cooked. The mashed potatoe side were pretty much whole potatoes that were even mashed correcting, That’s was a $32 dollar plate.
I ask for Mac and cheese and it was pretty much pasta…. Everything has pretty much overprice for the quality of the food.

Amazing mocktails! Literally ask them to make you something with your preferred flavor profile and you don’t be disappointed. They stock Lyre’s NA spirits and bubbly. Good service was just okay, food itself was tasty overall.

Was excited about their happy hour and then I got this tuna nacho for $8. Two chips for $8! Wild. Then the check came and they tried to charge us $26 for this pathetic nacho and two happy hour beers ($5 each). The manager then changed the total to $20 which was still wrong but at that point not worth the fight for $2. Go somewhere else!

The decorations were great for Christmas. They had a very limited menu and the drinks were pre- made which I was not to fond about.

I will never go back to Royal 38 the first time is my last time, and I don't think my friends will go back either. We decided to go to Royal 38 because of the Christmas popup. I was there with my wife and 2 friends on 12/29/2022 around 7pm. We walked up to the bar and sat our selves. The reason I will never go back is do to the fact that a 20% tip for "large parties" is added to your bill, even if my party was 2 people (me and my wife). I only ordered 2 $12.00 drinks on one check. I closed my tab at the bar and noticed on the printed receipt the 20% gratuity added on top of the $2.00 I already tipped. We did not have a server for our table, but I don't think that they have table servers at this location. I asked the bartender that closed my check to refund the gratuity charge to be refunded and the bar tender would not refund 20% gratuity but did refund my $2.00 tip. I asked to speak with a manager to discuss the charge and they said they would get one, so I waited for about 10 minutes and while I waited for the manager, one of the other bartenders explained why they charge customers an automatic 20% large party gratuity was because people don't tip enough. I did not speak to a manager because I felt like they were stalling to get one and I did not want to wait any longer over $5.20.

This place was awesome. We went before Xmas and the place was decorated incredible. The drinks were also great. Highly recommend.

So guys, this is LITERALLY a hidden gem! The bartender treated everyone as if he knew us! He made an exclusive drink for me and I literally broke out into a smile! Small, quaint place but the vibe is unmatched!

We went Dec 23 for girls night to Whoville and it was absolutely awesome! The drinks were kinda pricey $60 for 3 and you didn't get to keep the cute cups but we had a blast and made memories.

Went for the " Christmas at Royal 38" event, all they had were "pre mix" drinks and they were out of everything! Decorations were nice, it would have been better with specialty, made to order drinks!

Unfortunately, this was an awful Christmas popup experience. When I chose this location for a non-profit HH from 5: 30-7 on a Monday, it looked great! Once we arrived, they didn't have the HH menu any more or several items on the new "Christmas Popup" set menu, there wasn't a server, we had to ask for waters (and refills), and the cheap food was WAY overpriced, no better than a fast food restaurant. When the food was brought out, on paper plates, we had to ask for napkins and condiments. The drinks were awful, pre mixed, cheap drinks. There are way to many Christmas popup's out there to settle for this one. Hope they get better!

Went for the holiday popup featuring the Grinch. 2 bars, one downstairs and the other, upstairs. The drinks were worth the price and just as strong, while the food menu was a bit pricy with slim pickings. Overall, good first experience and would go back.

Royal38 sets up a pop-up Christmas bar every holiday season so a group of friends and I decided to hop by and check it out!

Once you enter, there's an outdoor area with a bunch of Christmas props and lights and an additional indoor area where you can order holiday drinks and/or food. The outdoor area is filled with lights but it's a bit on the smaller side. There's also a second floor with a lot of lovely Christmas trees so I'd highly recommend getting some pics taken there as well! Overall, it was pretty fun, but the drinks were pretty pricey (~$20 per drink)

Doesn't look like the pictures (Christmas decoration) and the Christmas drinks aren't that good, however the burger was really good.
