Rudy's Country Store and Bar-B-Q, Denton TX

Great location, easy access from I35 - open early for breakfast so perfect for picking up some BBQ on way to family reunion - sliced moist brisket and babyback ribs + beans (so good). All a hit at the reunion!

I was there for a meeting. The food was good. The space they allowed us to use worked out beautifully. They were well staffed and were able to get our meals ready in record time. Thank you!

Asked for chopped brisquet sandwich and got cubed. Requested chopped finer and still not what we are used to when eating at Rudy'sin San Antonioand Houston area. Bun was cold so wife just used the white bread I got for my Rudy's chopped meat for her sandwich.

Really wanted to like it but bbq was dry, sides were boring and they filled my baked potato with a ridiculous amount of sour cream. Spent $70 bucks for a family of four… over priced!

Our meat was supposed to be moist we got to take out and when we got home it was just a chunk of fat in the process are high at all barbecue places now and I understand that but we spent a lot of money for a big chunk of fat meat so I would suggest that you check your food before you leave so you won't be disappointed cuz Rudy's really is a good place whoever sliced that should have taken more care is all I can say

First time in Texas and…absolutely delicious! I recommend the ribs brisket and cream corn and smoked baked potato. Enough for the first review because…that’s all I could consume. Hahahaha, enjoy!

After being curious about Rudy's for quite some time, I can honestly say I was thoroughly UNDERwhelmed by my experience there around 1: 30 pm this afternoon. Upon entering, we were greeted in a friendly manner by the older gentleman stationed near the door. That was it for friendly staff. The young lady taking our order was beyond rude in her interaction with us and it seemed like she took her time gathering our order together. After she handed us the bag of food, we had to ask where to get our drinks. She didn't bother giving us cups for it so my husband helped himself. We ordered moist brisket, prime rib, peppered tenderloin and green chili stew. The stew was the biggest disappointment- bland, desperately in need of salt, pepper and some herbs because who makes stew without herbs? Blah. Dinty more is better. The best option was by far the moist brisket with a nicely charred bark and decent smoke flavor although I think I tasted the chemical remains of liquid smoke- yuk. The peppered tenderloin tasted only of pepper (seriously, everything was deficient in the salt department) and the prime rib was disappointingly bland as well. I don't recommend this restaurant. Too bad.

Waited 20min in the drive thru only to receive a breakfast taco covered in wet egg and grease. Literally the tortilla and foil were soaked. We used to come here every weekend for breakfast tacos, but have had to stop because it’s gone so down hill. The food quality is poor, often get burnt or overly greasy bacon, the service is slow and usually a frustrating experience. We try and go here for dinner from time to time too but run into similar issues.

I ordered a sausage sandwich and my sister ordered a baked potato with ham on it. She liked the potato pretty good, but my sandwich was not hot, and neither was her baked potato. We like ham, but it wasn't hot either! I can't understand why the food there is never hot-I can only tell you that Rudy's is not my favorite place to eat!

I must say the customer service to me was superb. I love the fact that they were so attentive. But what really caught my attention was the food. There is a gentleman there by the name of “Jerry. ” He makes the best ribs. Super juicy. Falls off the bone. If you shall visit try them. You will not be disappointed

Best brisket I ever put in my mouth. The creamed corn is outstanding. If you're in Texas find a Rudy's you will not be disappointed.

Baked potato w/works, (brisket), I've always had great service. This last time, I called in my order 07/24, picked up, and went home. Normally chking my food b4 leaving any place. I never had anything missing when coming here. So, I'd only received potato, cheese, sour cream. I immediately called and spoke w/ Mngr. While writing this, I realized I didn't receive my refund, I chkd my bank to confirm, then called Rudy's, spk with manager Kyle, who verified and refunded my $13.90. He greatly apologized, which I appreciated very much. So, an incomplete order would not deter me from ordering there again. It just would only ensure I check my future orders. But the way it was handled, they will continue to have me has a customer, because the foid is very delicious.

I ordered a chop beef sandwich, and it had half filler and half beef. So they add too much filler (soy?)

Moist beef brisket and mild sausage is great. Good beans and BBQ beans, potato salad, cream corn, cold slaw its all good.
Always consistent.
Two kinds of sauce, original, and sissy sauce.:)
Desserts not a specialty here.

Always amazing food from this location in Denton. Great atmosphere. Only wish they wouldn't play country instead play rock and roll.

The food was cooked; that's about it. It's not "Real Texas BBQ. " No seasoning. You have to drown it in sauce to get any flavor. It's self-serve after you get your food, including bussing your table, which are just folding tables and chairs. We, at least, expected trays, not over-sized produce baskets. The experience was not enough to make us come back.
