Russo's New York Pizzeria & Italian Kitchen, Houston TX

We went here with high hopes from looking at the menu and a recommendation from my friend's coworker. When we went, there was no one there aside from staff that looked overwhelmed with phone orders. The owner was nice but looked visibly stressed which made me feel bad for her. The garlic knots had a strong unpleasant smell (probably the parmesan) but very little taste, same thing with the pizza. The pizza didn't have any taste so I covered the pizza in crushed pepper but they offer black pepper and salt. Everything seemed like they didn't cook it long enough and after I left I had a stomach ache (I knew I would just by looking at the way the food looked). Drinks are self serve which I love however the lemonade tasted awful like a bad batch of country time lemonade instead of minute maid, and the sprite didn't taste like sprite either (watered down sprite?). But because of how nice the owner was considering what she was dealing with I'd give it 2 stars. I really can't overlook the undercooked, tastless food.but there's also plenty of seating at this location if you go with a large family or a bunch of friends you'll be fine I'd say. I'm not entirely sure if I'll try this place again but it does have potential and they're lovely people. Please be kind and considerate when ordering they're trying their best.

Always great service and food and a really good relaxed and chill atmosphere the only place we’re my 2 and 5 year old love eating everything is A1

I absolutely love the kindness that flows throughout the experience. From the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave, they make you feel like family. I went to pick up pasta for a coworker and I ended up buying 3 desserts of my own. I can't overstate how friendly they are. I will definitely return. Oh! And that pizza is HUGE!

Went there with a family of 12 and were asked to sit seperate in order to get served.we werent allowed to move the tables to accomodate our family spoke to the manager they only accomodate groups of 10 people or less. Save ur time and money if u have a big family this is not the place to go i would give this place a zero!

Food is as good as it always been. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and service. Nice atmosphere to boot.

Great atmosphere i can eat in peace and receive great service always a great time food is awesome as well definitely recommend.

Only downside for me is the location isn't that great, but if I'm ever up that way and craving pizza, I know where I'm going. Would love to try the party pizza one day!

The best calzone in Houston. I noticed they jalapeños changed. They were different colors and real hot. Really delicious and crispy.

This place is amazing. Food is delicious and service is top notch. Today was my first time there but most definitely will not be my last. The entire group I went with is planning future visits with their families. Great job guys, I’ll be back soon!

Had an amazing lunch at this location. Staff was very friendly. The place is very clean, big, and really cute!
Ms. Nivine is very lovely and Charismatic. Definitely recommend this place! They dont only have pizza so there is a lot to choose from. Also dont forget to get dessert, it’s delicious!

I went here on #SmallBusinessSaturday to support the local franchise. The food was fresh and deliciously prepared, and the ambience was understated and elegant. #TwoThumbsUp

The Mediterranean Pizza was excellent. The crust was fantastic and their garlic knots are good as well. Would definitely recommend and visit this place again.

My husband and I went in tonight Wednesday) at 6: 40 and waited 5 minutes just to have our drink order taken. We placed an order for am appetizer at that time. 20 minutes later no appetizer and no food order was taken. There were only 4 other tables in there with us. One table got up and walked out because the had not been waited on either. We walked out as well. We will not be back there. I guess your online business is more important than real inperson customers that leave tips.

Best Italian Restaurant in the area, best service, and they always deliver on time, what I need and what I want.no matter what time of day I call them. Awesome food and the awesome ladies that work so hard there! Love the food and the atmosphere! Thank you Russo's

No lo recomiendo

I went exactly 9: 12 a night and they told me that they could not serve me or attend to me because they were already closed that they were closing now with the pandemic early because they had no customer. However, we are heading to another one in the cypress bakery where they told us that it was a pleasure to attend us without any problem.
Horrible treatment

Fui exactamente 9.12 minutos de la noches y me dijeron que no podían servirme ni atenderme por que ya estaban cerrado q ellos estaban cerrando ahora con la pandemia temprano por que no tenían cliente. Más sin embargo nos estamos dirigiendo a otra en la baker cypress donde nos dijeron que sin problema fuéramos que era un gusto atendernos.

Cashier was so friendly, her name was Lucia. She greeted me and took my order and made sure everything was perfect!
