I am so so so thankful for Dr. Ryan Bergeson and his PA, Josh Covington. Dr. Bergeson is not only an EXCELLENT surgeon, he and Josh Covington are smart, professional, diligent and caring. Dr. Bergeson performed a c4-c7 fusion on my spine in May 2022 due to a c7 compressed nerve and spinal stenosis. I am happy to say I am pain free and am back to doing the things that bring me great joy! Thank you Dr. Bergeson and PA Covington for everything you do!

My first visit to this orthopedic doctor was very typical. Typical because I’ve experienced this gaslighting effect with several doctors because I assume the reason being, I’m a senior, a woman with extra weight and Hispanic.
I have extreme lumbar back pain that makes it very difficult to walk or stand for more than 5 min. I have spinal stenosis and curvature of the spine. Been to too many doctors to count and I’ve been told it’s my SI joint or it’s my hip. No one has addressed my spine or back issues. This doctor was no different. I went to him hoping this would be the doctor that will listen to me not dismiss my pain as caused by my extra weight. Minimalized my pain and sent me on my way. Lose weight, it will help your pain I was told and you need a total hip replacement. He’s not a orthopedic that specializes in hip replacement either… he’s deals with spine issues that’s why I was referred to him.
He may be a great doctor but he wasn’t for me. He asked where I lived, I said Georgetown.he asked where specifically. I said SunCity. How is this relevant?

Front office VERY HELPFUL & EFFICIENT! Dr. Bergeson was great and a good communicator and his brace supplier was excellent and helped us out even on Sunday!

I needed to have surgery on my back.
I was in a lot of pain. I went to see Dr. Bergeson for a surgeryconsultation. He looked at my Bone density report. He told me to come back when I get my 80 yr.old bones fixed and lose 30 lbs. I cried on the way home. THE TRUTH HURTS! I got a 2nd opinion. The dr. I saw said he could put me on his surgery schedule for surgery the next week. I prayed that night for guidance. God led me to Dr. Bergeson.
I lost over 30 lbs and I had been taking Forteo shots everyday for 8 months to strengthen my bones.
Dr. Bergeson is a VERY thorough surgeon. He already had my MRI & Bone density report. He ordered CT-Scan, Mylegram & several other tests.
After 10 months I was ready for surgery. Dr. Bergeson did 3 fusions and reconnected a ball of nerves that were round up in a ball. He connected the nerves back where they were suppose to be. I am aNEW WOMAN! I feel GREAT! I thank God everyday for leading me to Dr. Bergeson! Dr. Bergeson explained what the surgery involved & is Very thorough! He is theBEST back & spine surgeon! Thank you again Dr. Bergeson for telling me the truth opening my eyes after the very first visit. Thank you for giving me my life back!

Dr Bergeson was rude and did not listen to my answers to his questions. He kept interrupting and changing the topic before i could fully explain. He also is the only out 6 different care givers who thinks my pain is unrelated to my neck disc bulge. Since he did not listen, i do not trust his judgment. When i questioned him about being the only one who thought it was unrelated, he was defensive and the subject changed to my weight. He went so far as to say he could refer me for a gastric bypass. I only went for a consultation because my pain management doctor thought i should know my options. All Dr bergeson needed to say was that operating was not going to be helpful. At this point, i feel that if you are a female who has developed weight issues due to your injury.do not see this man. No bedside manner at all. I left feeling so hopeless and embarrassed and ashamed. All i went there for was to know my options.

Everyone in office very professional and took great deal of time with all of our questions.

The best decision of my life was going to Dr. Ryan Bergeson. I had a spinal fusion L4 through S1. Prior to the surgery it felt like every step could be my last and I was in pain constantly. After about six weeks I knew I had made the right choice. Around approximately 16 weeks I was walking like crazy and feeling great. I have not slowed down since and I am sincerely forever grateful to Dr. Bergeson and and his staff. They did such a good job it took me three and a half years to slow down long enough write this review lol. Sorry for making you wait so long Doc.

Dr. Berguson is an awesome dr and cares about his patients. He never fails me and puts me on the right path. Since March of last year I have religiously followed what he suggests and I am not in pain like before.

DR. BERGESON IS A GREAT SURGEON HE KNOWS WANT HE IS DOING WHEN HE OPERATES ON HIS PATIENTS!

I feel as though the staff and Dr. Bergerson care about me as a patient. He is making sure that every issue I have had are being taken care of before just doing surgery. Many issues I didn't think we're a problem could have caused many other problems. I trust that God always takes care of me and I think He sent me to Dr Bergeson.

Dr. B did a cervical fusion on my c5/c6 in 2016 and at some point wanted to fix my c4 as well when i lived in the area.i had 21 plus days a month of horrific migraines and steroid injections didnt help and i wasnt going to do Botox injections.went to see Dr. B and Josh and found out what was causing my issues.thanks to both of these fantastic people, i dont have nearly the migraines i was having.i was so scared of haven the surgery because in my head of the unknown and what if"s.he and his staff put me at ease and let me know i would be ok.its now almost 2022 and aside from haven to go in now for my c4/c5 in a matter of days.i thank God i went to Dr. B and JOSH.very caring and understand Dr's! I highly recommend seeing them.

This doctor is rude and since he is getting paid should be more respectful. I will not be going back.
