Sagewood Apartments, Lubbock TX

Worst apartment I’ve ever Seen or lived in! Was supposedly remodeled and updated. Crackheads must’ve done the work it was atrocious. The women in the office are rude and very unhelpful with anything! I’d rather be homeless with a sign!

I lived here for a year (November 2017-2018)
Every time I put it a maintenance request it was done/fixed that same day. It’s overall a great apartment complex for the price. I didn’t mind living here and if I had to live in an apartment again I wouldn’t mind moving back to Sagewood.
I give it five stars bc even though not everything was perfect there wasn’t really anything awful to complain about. The little problems I had were fixed and talked over and handled well. I have no real complaints.

There was a cat problem going on and nothing was ever really done about it. It wasn’t a big deal it was just annoying to have 5 cats staring at you and walking around you every time you walked to your car.
I heard they fixed that but I’m not too sure.

When I moved out my dog had ripped up the carpet (I replaced the whole thing) When they came to check everything before officially moving out they said everything was great. I asked the manager (Tori) if I had to replace anything else and she said no. The stove tops were in bad shape but she told me it was fine that even if I cleaned them she would replace them anyway. I was later charged for that but maybe I misunderstood her. Anyways I gave them my new address to send any fees of any sort there so I wouldn’t end up owing them anything but I never got anything. Almost a year later I receive nothing so I figure I’m good but then I find out they’ve been trying to get ahold of me about paying for things they had to replace (the stove tops) and apparently something were left in the freezer. Anyways, it was only about $127 so I just paid it. They told me they didn’t send it to a bill collector bc it was such a small amount they didn’t want to ruin anyone’s credit over that so they were very patient about it even though they hadn’t even talked to me in almost a year. I end up paying it without any problem. I really appreciate the fact that you guys didn’t send it to a bill collector even though most places would’ve!

Great time living at Sagewood. Maintenance team always responded quickly. We left because we moved from Lubbock, otherwise we still be living there. The management staff for the complex specially property manager Tory was incredibly courteous.

My husband and I lived here during our masters programs. It was a good apartment for us in a great area close to Milwaukee and a lot of good restaurants. The apartment itself was a little old, but the maintenance team was very fast and responded to requests the same day or the next day. The water is also turned off a couple times per month for maintenance, but the office always gives a heads up before turning it off. The manager Tori was very nice and professional. Overall, I would recommend this apartment!

I have lived here for over 11 years. This property is Truly home. The Management is always updating and improving here. The office staff and maintenance staff are so amazing. I have no intention of ever moving.

Like others, I don't usually write reviews for places unless I have a strong disposition to, in the case of Sagewood Apartments. I lived there for about 6 months and I have never been more angry at a complex in my ENTIRE life. For example I went to use the laundry rooms (there are two in the complex) and BOTH of them were not working. Further than that, they charge you money for any little thing that happens. There is feral cats littering the complex. There is dog poop at every turn (gotten it on my shoes at least 5 times), they turn off the water EVERY SINGLE DAY, and the water heaters in the apartments only keep a hot shower for about 4 minutes (I have timed it). I am so extremely unhappy with my choice to live at Sagewood Apartments and I would think very heavily before considering moving here. I have included various screenshots in which they informed us the water would be turned off (basically every day!). There were more but these are the ones I recovered.

EDIT - thanks for your response. I no longer need your help. I moved out as fast as I could. I could have used this sort of help when I was still living there. Your response was even more validating to my point.they don't know or care what is going on.

Me and my dad lived her for a year in the 750 sq ft great front office people I suggest the south end pool deeper and a little nicer the apartment was great good AC very safe

The customer service is terrible. They do not have good communication with you, no calling back about your apartment unless it deals with money. Very patronizing on the phone. Watch out, if you have no credit, they will make you pay a non-refundable $500 even if you decide not to move in.

I have been living here for over 10 years and love it! I've lived in a one bedroom a two bedroom and now a three. The area is nice and away from business areas. The property is always clean. The staff is always helpful and very caring. Reason I never move! Maintenance is always on top of whatever I need. Thank you Sagewood!

I have lived her for over a year and i have loved it. It's a quiet place to live, management is kind when i talk to them, and maintenance is responsive and diligent which is a huge bonus.
