Salaama Restaurant, Arlington TX

It was our first time here and first time eating Somalian food! The food is savory on its own but they give you two sauces; one sweet and one spicy. I mixed them both and made my food sweet, spicy, and savory! IT WAS SO DELICIOUS! On top of that, the people who work there are SO KIND! Leban was there tonight and he was so friendly, we felt at home there! We will definitely all be coming back!

Amazing food, some of the best I've ever ate. Can't wait to come back. Worth every penny and more. Felt like I was with family and friends the entire time.

I feel really mixed about this place. First, the food is really good. They have 10 basic dishes on their menu. We ordered Spaghetti Chicken, Rice & Chicken, and Spaghetti Fish. The spaghetti tasted great and the sauce was really good too. Enjoyed the chicken and fish as well. It came with a large salad.

Second, the guys working here are nice and the food was prepared quickly. However, the place needs some touching up since there's nothing on the walls, just yellow paint. I usually see restaurants with ethnic foods introduce their unique culture on the walls with paintings, murals, posters, wall art, or some cultural decorations. It also doesn't feel or look clean inside.

Waste of time. Everything I asked for that was on the menu, they said they don't have it, and the guy that takes orders is always on the phone and doesn't give attention to the customers. I wouldn't recommend

I wanted to try the goat meat on the menu, but was told it was out along with all other things except salmon and chicken legs. I chose the chicken limbs. They were just ok, albeit rather oversalted. Nothing I would order again.

The service was inattentive. When the food came, there were no forks. A regular guest had to arise and get me a fork and napkin, embarrassed ed for them.

I ordered tea to be served beforehand but it came only after the meal was ended. The lack of attention cannot be excused as a speech barrier as I spoke Somali.

The restaurant was very unclean and run down. This could be excused when the food is good but since the food isn't, it l can’t be.

I will not return again.

Wow. What a place. Everything so fresh. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The service was great. Just a perfect experience to have in Barcelona.

The host was extremely friendly and explained all the different options. This is an excellent place to eat.

The food my goodness delicious. Love this place. When ever I’m in Texas especially in Arlington this is the place I came to eat. Five stars for me.

I’ve known Mo for over 9 years now and this is my go to place when I don’t feel like cooking. Everyone I take there gets hooked. They are like family n so there are a lot of men always outside. I just put my head down n plow through w my salams. All food tea coffee, alhamdullilah GREAT

Great Somali food. Good customer service if you want some great fried fish.the serving is more than enough and They also gave us a place to pray, if you are in Arlington it a must place to visit.

Ordered spaghetti with chicken. Very simple dish but SO delicious! I have no idea of the seasoning on the chicken but I could have eaten more. The spaghetti had jalapeños which provided a nice amount of spiciness to the meal) They were out of goat so be aware that you might have to come way before evening to order certain dishes. The gentlemen at the restaurant were very kind. Overall, I enjoyed my somali food experience!
