Salem Square is a very nice place to call home. Everyone from the manager and office staff to the maintenance crew have provided exceptional service. It's stress-free living.

Moved in with my bf in November of last year. Immediately started having Severe allergies. It being a new part of town I thought maybe it would’ve been the trees in the area. I continue to take my normal allergy medicine and it did not work. Eventually I started having shortness of breath and thought I had Covid. I tested negative for it. Soon after returning home from the hospital me and my boyfriend discovered that there was a mold problem. The management was responsive at first and they came and they had their people clean up the mold with bleach which I also told them I am allergic to. The mold kept coming back and spreading to new areas of our apartment. Managment then said they would clean the vents. It only seem to make matters worse. Not only did the management tell me that they can only clean it with bleach but that if I couldn’t see the mold then there wasn’t a problem. Also I was told that my allergies were due to my ESA cat that I had for 7 years. For the mold only continue to get worse it made my fruits and vegetables go bad and it made my breathing even worse. The mold started making me have a skin condition on my body that I had to go to the dermatologist for. She prescribed me a regular cream but because the irritants are so prevalent in the area in which I live I was not recovering and needed an extra antibiotic on top of the cream. I went and stayed at my aunts for a week for a little vacation and came back to mold everywhere in my apartment. As soon as I walk through the door, it smelled so bad like old musty moldy things. I’m now at the point where I have to leave my apt and stay in a hotel. The apartments do not care and they have not even offered to help us besides coming in cleaning it with bleach. They refuse to believe that there could be mold behind the walls. It’s funny because the office in the maintenance man say two different things. The maintenance people ask us where we keep our Aceon and that we’re not allowed to open our windows because it will cause mold. The only time we’ve ever opened our windows was to air it out when it smells really badly of mold. It’s unfortunate because the prices are really great for the most part. During Covid everyone being home made the overall amount go up for rent. In all honesty I feel like the management knows that they’re in the wrong because they said that they would allow us to move out before I lease was up without any penalty. Do not move here they don’t care about you. All they care about is your money. If you don’t like what the property manager has to say there isn’t even a corporate number that you can call. The washer and dryer’s on site barely work and the system being used to pay rent online has been scammed so many times that I’ve had to change my credit card three times. If the mold wasn’t enough for you to stay away I don’t know what will be.

I went in to inquire about an apartment. Me being a single woman living by myself I asked about limits on pets. Which I totally understand weight limits. But the manager told me, “Just get rid of your dog and you can surely get a unit here. ”
First off how rude. He then went on about how he loves his dogs this and that. I asked how he’d feel if someone told him to get rid of his dog and he replied with “upset”. To which I walked and told him I’ll go elsewhere. I found a bigger place for the same price and nicer.

Worst apartments I’ve ever lived in! Why pay pest control fees if they never get rid of any pests? Nonstop silverfish issue that ruined a ton of expensive clothes, not to mention the roaches I would find crawling around. Yet somehow, they still feel justified on raising rent each time renewal comes around.

I moved in November and I haven't had any issues. Management has changed so the last manager that had "issues" is no longer here. Yes it's an older property, the price is fitting to the area and affordable. Keep in mind they run a matrix depending on time of year and based on that determines your rent. Most complexes use that system as well. Personally do not mind outside cats, they keep the rats away. With that being said I have literally seen 2 cats the whole time I've lived here. The office staff and maintenance crew are nice and again never had an issue. As far as going through trash, most people dont even know how to get the trash in the dumpster, so these poor guys are picking up trash, stomping it down to fit, and then having to clean after pickup. Plus people throw away couches, tables, mattresses, toys I mean if it's good some people might be in real need.

WARNING! SCAM! DO NOT MOVE HERE! Moved out after my year lease ended and paid all bills due, only to have them send me a bill to forwarding address stating I didn’t give them enough notice, and charged me over $1600! They’re threatening to put it on my credit if I don’t pay it! If you move you you will regret it more than you would ever imagine!

The people in the office are very unprofessional, the apts are high priced, outdated wiring, mold in the walls, dirty old laundry rooms that are not cleaned properly, flooding is very bad, lots of stray cats that the office lady does not care about, the apts have roaches, rats, the walls are very thin, you can hear, people in other apts, if you plug a few things in at one time the breakers pop off

These apartments do not have up to date wiring, , you can’t get accurate electric bills, they were installing washer and dryers, with not the proper wiring or license people, the maintenance men that have been there a while, look through your trash, and I was told one of them was a felon, he drives a white police car, and when he gets mad at people on the road he pretends to be a cop, and turns his police lights on, it should be against the law to do this, that guy lives on the oroperty, and he never gets in trouble by the friendswood police because they think he’s a under cover police, the Hispanic lady in the office don’t trust her, has protected these people on the property, she allows certain criminal activity, she will get caught soon, she purposely wants to do things to certain people on the property, the office people use to pocket all the money from the wash room
