Salon Sovay, Austin TX

This is my go-to hair salon. I’ve had my hair cut by a few different stylists at this location over the years and have had very positive experiences every time. I am super picky about my hair and I keep coming back to this salon because I appreciate their attention to detail and the quality they provide.

I have never once, in over 5 years, stepped into this salon and walked out not feeling incredibly happy with my results. Kelly is the best.

I’ve been a client of Salon Sovay since 2017. I’ve always had highlights but it was getting to the point where my hair was going full blond. I wanted my highlights back but no one seemed to understand what I was asking for until I met Sovay. I was absolutely floored with what she accomplished in my very first appointment. My hair looked like it was the first time I had it highlighted. It reminded me of my beautiful (young) hair I had in high school and I’m 49 years old! I’m a client for life now!

Horrible experience! I came to the front door just before my appointment. It was 103 degrees outside (late July). I was in my professional work clothes. There is a couch just inside the door in the air conditioning. The man who came to the door would not let me in to wait inside. He closed the door in my face twice and locked the door, making me wait outside in the heat. The second time he opened the door to let someone else in, I asked if I could come in and wait in the cool, and he said no. He said we are not using this area (the couch) as a waiting room for security reasons because there is crime in the area. No apology, no smile. Just shut the door in my face again and locked me out. I sat there waiting in the heat by myself in this supposedly dangerous neighborhood for 20 minutes and then left. If it is unsafe, why not let the client wait in the air conditioning and lock the client IN, not OUT? ! That is no way to treat clients. I will never be going back to this location.

First salon experience for me and one of the best experiences for me. Had my hair done by Sovay and I couldn’t feel more like a princess! She is an Artist and has such a beautiful soul. Definitely will be back.

Sovay is a talented artist. She revived my hair back to life in such a limited time for a wedding. I arrived with brassy and frizzy orange colored split ends. Yet with her thorough and detailed skill, she gave me the best balayage and hair cut. She truly cares about her clients and takes the time to explain every product she uses and why. Sovay made it a point to follow up with me on a Sunday afternoon to dedicate more time to my hair because the previous time was cut short. She washed, blowdried, and colored my hair again just to perfect her craft! She is a breath of fresh air to speak with. For the first time in a long time I can confidently let my hair down again. Thanks Sovay!

Salon Sovay is great for all hair needs

I've been going to Salon Sovay for nearly 6 years - Sovay fixed a botched "lob" haircut and since then, I've successfully grown my hair long again! She does my cut and color (semi-permanent and skinny highlights). I can't recommend this salon enough!
