Our daughter in New York ordered carry out & the driver was Great! My wife has just finished her 6th round of chemo! We got steak & shrimp! She was looking forward to the red & Tarter sauces which we didn’t get! I liked the horseradish sauce that she didn’t eat!
Too much to Ask for someone to verify the order before it’s picked up? Our Delivery Guy said that is an ongoing Problem There!?

The steak was superb! This is one of the few places in Tyler where they appropriately time when they give you appetizers then food. A lot of times there is either really long waiting times between them or they are on top of each other.
The staff is speedy and professional!

The food was very good, but it seemed to take a really long time to get the food to the table. It was lunch time on a Saturday, but the restaurant was not even crowded.

Have eaten at over 30 saltgrasses. Only after reading there reviews.
After reading the reviews for Tyler SG
I dont think I will ever eat there.
Was going there for new years eve.
Not now. It proves that Tyler texas ppl
Are slow and dont take pride in service or product. Been to several places around Tyler. And found the same problem all over the city. So Houston or Dallas bound.
Salt grass Realy needs to work on there employees in Tyler.

Update. 5 of us decided to give it a try at Tyler SG if it turns out to be what I have read. I will be calling corporate office. I will be watching the whole place to see how others are being treated and served. Will also be taking Names and pictures.
Lets hope that our SG turns into the number 1steak house it should be.

We were a group of 4 last night and were told the waiting time would be 30-45 minutes. We were not in a hurry, but after an hour and a quarter I asked how much longer, because folks who came in after us were already seated. I was told we were 'overlooked'. No apology. The tenderloin medallions were tender, but too salty. The prices for the food items are greater than the value. We all agreed we would not return again. I have never been disappointed at Outback Seakhouse.

Food was terrific as always! The service was exceptional also like it has been at every one we have gone to so far. We don't expect to find anything different! Love this place!

Sat at the bar bc there was a 30 min wait. No problem was promptly waited on and ordered unsweet tea, salad, bread. Baked potato and Pats Ribeye. Bread salad and tea came right away. Steak, came, after about 30 minutes. Butter on the steak was not even melted. Steak was, cold. Baked potato was warm on the inside. Brought it to the attention of my server. No me ever came by. I just decided I had wasted enough time and got it to go. I eas not rude to my server. Will be a while, before I go back. To many other place that offer the same type food.

Salt grass is one of my favorite resteraunt. However i will never return tonthe one in tyler tx again. Me and my husband went on a date night last night. He had never been and ive always told him how good it is even though ive never been tonthis location. To start things off our waitress never came to take our order after 20 minutes my husband went and got someone then 10 minutes later she came to take our order and turns out she had forgotten about us she said she was sorry so we ordered. She brought us our salad didnt say anything just put it on the table and walked off. My shrimp was undercooked and the bacan was not cooked hardly at all. And ive gotten the stuffed barbeque shrimp at other locations so i know what it should taste like and my husbands ribs were so fatty he had half a plate of fat on his plate. And we couldnt get refeils on our tea with out asking it was not a good experience at all.

I like Salt Grass but I ate there on 12/8 and I upgraded to ribeye and it was the thinnest stake I ever ate.

Probably won't come back for a steak.

Food good. Service, SLOW! Perhaps the bartenders should spend less time complaining about the tips they didn't get, and more time.on the customers. Waited 40 minutes for my steak. It was good, but service can manke or break an experience.

Was sitting/eating at the bar and watched as delivery service individuals waitied a minimum of 15 minutes for cheesecake. People wanting to buy a gift card had to wait a ridiculously long time.

BTW, it was not crowded at all even thought they assured me they were swamped.

The staff here was incredible! They were super friendly with tons of energy. The food was on point as well and came out in a timely manner! Loved my experience!

My wife and have 2 small children and we requested a booth where we could put a hi chair and they said it was fine, until we got to the booth 15 mins later and asked for it and they said they couldn't put one there so we settled for a small table, which was fine, until the waiter came by 40 mins after getting our order to let us know that he completely deleted it and we had to order again, they never brought the other loaf of bread out, never stopped to check on us, several small things that add up in the end, food is good, service and wait time is poor.

Very upset with this location. Me and my family eat at Saltgrass regularly and I've never had a bad experiance until last night, Sunday Dec 23rd. We were in Tyler visiting my uncle and wanted to take him somewhere for dinner. We were in route to the resturant and my wife called (5: 20 p.m.) and asked how long the waiting list was and the hostess told her at that moment and if we hurried there was virtually no wait time. My wife told her were 5 min out, to please put our name down. When we arrived we were told there was 1party in front of us. We sat down and patiently waited. There were several patrons coming in (mostly small parties of 2 or 4) that were seated immediately, okay I understand we had a party of 6, it might take a little bit. Then the lobby started backing up and there were parties of all sizes waiting. So I started looking into the resturant and there were (from just my line of sight) 5 tables for 4 empty and 2 of 6 that had been empty since we arrived, and 4 tables of 6 that were grouped together as if for a large party that had also been empty since we arrived. Still we waited until a party of 15 (that came in about 15-20, min after us) was being seated at the large 4 table setup, in which they broke 2 of the tables off of it, and converted them to 6 party tables.so now there are 4 empty 6 party tables available. So I jokingly approached the hostess and told her I needed a new buzzer, mine was broken because it hadn't buzzed yet. We had been there 50 min at this point. She told me, "it hasn't buzzed because I havnt buzzed you" (in a rude almost stern like voice) so I asked her where we were on the seating chart because we were there before the large party they were seating.she then informed me that we were 3rd on the list now.after the large party there was another party of 6, and then a "Landry's club member" then us. I asked her why there are so many waiting for tables while so many tables were empty and available.that there had been several tables empty since we arrived. Even though the tables were in different sections of the restaurant, she insisted that it was because there had been a large party reserve the tables, but then they realized it was for the next night, so if I would be patient we were going to be seated soon. At this point we had been waiting for over 1 hour, so I asked her how long she thought that would be and she informed me it would be another 15-20 minutes. So i asked her for the name of the manager, and she gave me his name, and I told her she could have her buzzer back that we would be dining elsewhere. She took it and didnt say another word, not an appology or even an attempt to keep us there. So we left (now the time was 6: 32) and we went to Texas Roadhouse, and we had a GREAT meal with great service from a very friendly staff. We had to wait about 5-10 minutes there, but their hostesses worked hard to get us in asap. For now on, Texas Roadhouse will have my business and my wallet will never darken the doorstop of Saltgrass Steakhouse of Tyler Texas. I hope the manager, David Jones gets the opportunity to read this review and I really hope addresses this problem he has with his front of house staff. Patrons should not be waiting to be seated when there are open tables in the store. My only regret last night, besides choosing Saltgrass to dine at, was not getting the name of the hostess, she was rude and unprofessional.

Food was very good. Prices are good also. Clean and comfortable environment. Service was poor on this day though. Timothy was not an attentive server. Slow, & aloof. Not what we're used to from a salt grass steakhouse.

Excellent service! Our waiter, Carlos, was absolutely amazing and so polite. The steak and grilled shrimp was delectable.

This was not the experience I had been informed of! We spent over 150.00 for 5 people.not one cocktail. I didn't even have steak.some dried up chicken fried to death and slopped down on a plate with some runny mashed something.the artichoke spinich dip was tasteless. I mean FDs Grillhouse dances CIRCLES AROUND THIS PLACE and half the price for way better food and service. I have a good meaning to call the corporate office now that I have realized we were screwed!

Well they don't have the rattlesnake bites anymore, so that takes them down a star or two one of the few tasty things that set them apart
