Sammy's Italian Bistro - Burleson reviews
15Order a Calzone, pre made dough comes with processed beef you can not change. Came out mushy and soft as if was micro waved. Order a spaghetti nothing tasted fresh.
The best! Italian food in Burleson! The Alfredo sauce is delicious! I really like the baked ravioli it is awsome!
Very friendly, great service and the food is amazing! What else can you possibly want? The pizza is delicious!
Nice, simple old school setting. Bread and Alfredo is good. Food overall is decent. Nothing to write home about or plan a special date to but good for quick pop in pop out type deal. Servers are nice. Very comparable to Joe's or any other old school mom and pop Italian joint. No calamari on menu, if your a real Italian foodie but decent experience none the less.
WORST PLACE EVER! I eat out alot from mom & pop restaurant to high end. Now I ordered a side salad with their house dressing! House dressing pretty good. I ordered shrimp scampi w/pasta. I even asked about 5 questions, pertaining to this dish. 4 pretty good size shrimp, the pasta was soak in a butter sauce. Not a wine sauce, BUTTER and the shrimp was over cooked. Hard and rubbery. Now My server perfect, asked me how my meal was, I was honest.so what i ate us bread and salad for $26.47 now i had water and $6 was a tip. I told the owner exactly what you just read. Didn't say he's sorry, didn't say hey next time your in I'll give you a free salad. But this is what he did say " well we been here for 27 years and people love us". Word from word he spoke this to me. I also went prime time lunch time too. 4 tables were taken, the rest empty. Now If I knew I was gonna be served butter noodles and over cook shrimp. Of course I wouldn't have gone. I only went because of the reviews. Well don't let these reviews fool ya folks. You can get better pasta somewhere else, along with the altitude. Happy eating
Best food I have had in a long time. And at a reasonable price. I love the fresh bread they serve
A very small Italian eatery with delicious food! I loved the baked ziti but the meatballs were what stole the show. Portions were hefty and the presentation was pleasant. They do not serve any alcohol, beer, or wine. However, BYOB is acceptable! If you want some Italian comfort food then please check this spot out.
The Salmon picatta with a side of fettuccini Alfredo was deliscious! The Alfredo and picatta sauce were authentic. The service and atmosphere were excellent as well.
I went with the seafood combo and it was awesome. We get Italian often and this is a great place to go. It is BYOB. I would suggest this place to anyone from pizza to the house salad.
Overall, really good Italian food. We went on a weeknight for an early dinner. The salad was fresh and crispy, and the vegetable soup was hearty. I didn't care for the rolls because they were a little hard and chewy to me. I did enjoy the Salmon with capers which was delicious if you like lemony sauces like me. Kids ordered from the kids' menu: fettuccine Alfredo, and lasagna (I think). My husband and sister got the shrimp fettuccine, and my father n law ordered the shrimp scampi. My family cleaned their plates! I'm positive we'll be back.
The food was great. The kids wanted olive garden, but the food there isn't authentic Italian and tastes very generic to me and way over priced. This place had better service and the food was way better in my opinion and all of the kids even said they like Sammy's better. For 7 people I spent less than 100 and got better quality food made and served by actual Italians you may not get the endless soups and salad but to me it's worth not getting for the better food quality. The portions were perfect as well. You do get as much free bread as you want as any other place. You can tell they actually make it. Not pre packaged like olive garden. Now that I changed their minds we'd rather go there any day over olive garden. The kids loved their real handmade pizza. Better than the big restaurants frozen junk. Best to have better food and price than over pay for generic bland fake Italian. Sammy's is #1 for us now
Been coming here for years. Chicken Florentino with their handmade fettuccine noodles is my favorite.
Always love Sammy's but they have removed my favorite Chicken Francese from the menu. Will not deter me from being a customer. Great food!
As always when we go, the food is delicious and the staff is great. The waiters and waitresses constantly check to make sure if you need anything. It's quite and cozy and love the low lighting. Keep up the great work everyone and can't wait until we visit you again.
The time to pay, we noticed that they included a 20% tip on the account and when we asked, they said I was forced to pay 20% in tip. Now, the tip is added of the restaurant. The guy told me that when we come back that no one will waiter me and that we were not allowed to return if we don’t give a 20% tip. I always leave tip but they said it wasn’t enough. Don’t come here. It is incredible how a large restaurant can’t pay employees enough but now force customers to pay. I like this place and the food but the way they treat me is a shame they said if you don’t pay the 20% not body will serve you the next time. My answer I have a budget for tip but nobody can force me to pay wherever they said.
