Sam's Burger Joint reviews
18Great food and family friendly close to The Pearl area. The staff was very friendly. They had a live band playing when we were there.
Nice atmosphere, great seating arrangements and good burgers and fries. Parking can be difficult if busy but luckily there is a cheap parking garage right across the road.
Onion fries very delicious! Hamburger itself was alright - I don't like my meat pink. Also was lacking flavor. My husband thought his hamburger was alright too like a 5/10. Love the takeout layout!
It was my first time eating here and it wlnt be my last when im in town. It was delicious! Staff was very friendly and out going, and the food came out quick and hot. I had what the cashier suggested which was the bacon cheddar burger, fries, onion rings, tots, and the fried mushrooms. Absolutely no complaints. And the rock n roll environment was just my kind of place. BUT did not see Aerosmith on the wall. Thank you for the great experience and food.
Our food was cold and not fresh. Too much salt was in all the food. I had a later order time and got there it was just sitting on the counter. Maybe if it was fresh and not cold when I picked up it may have been better. Disappointed.
Guacamole/Jack burger with onion rings for me. Hubby Cheddar burger with Tater tots. Delicioso/Delicious. Clean. Friendly staff.
Food was fresh.
Great place, good burgers, great drinks, great atmosphere. Been here many times, and have never been impressed with the burgers. They are decent at best, woukd take whataburger or burger king over their burgers. Fries are what appears to be beer battered and are not great, but not bad. Bar has great dri KS and the concerts they have are top notch. Will go back, but will avoid the burgers. Much much much better burgers within a 5 mile radius of Sam's
Omg went on Monday for my husband's, and mine wedding anniversary, and it was my first time there. The ladies in the front were so amazing towards us, and even our toddler. The cooks made our food so delicious wasn't overly greasy. Over all had the best experience ever, and definitely will be going back. Thank you for making this newbies first time exceptionally awesome.
Nice quaint burger spot in the San Antonio area. Staffing was limited on my visit but the staff was polite and apologized for the delay. Overall meal was tasty and the burger of the day was on point. Onion rings were light, but i would recommend the fries.
While on business, I caught local fave Ruben V and Ana Popovic who was phenomenal. Love Sam's, best small venue for my Blues habit in SA. I ALWAYS come to this spot
Food and service is always great and has a beautiful atmosphere with live music though it's only drawback would be parking your vehicle.
Free parking is very limited and price of parking is outrageous
Want to Sam's Burger Joint for the first time this past weekend. Good looking place and good food. I can't remember the name of the burger I tried (Texas something?), but it came with branded buns, Chipotle mayo, jalapeno and something else that added spice. It was tasty and spicy! Fries had a little bit of a crust, similar to Cajun fries. See photos. Clean looking self service drink area. Only downside was that they forgot to bring out my cousin's fries with his meal. We them asked about them and it still took about another 15 minutes to get them. They did get a little busy, but IMO, you should prioritize something you did incorrectly. Otherwise this was good and would gladly return.
Website says they have a box office but when I showed up they said there is not public box office and the promoter for their venue is separate from them. Was pretty upsetting considering I took a trip to their location based off their (apparently) out of date website. *The food's good though, so at least there's that*
Burgers and the food is great but I go for the blues.keep your eye on the website and check out a show.
Wife and I spent $30 for two burgers and one fry (no drinks). Wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. Felt kind of cheated for the price. Will probably not be back.
Nice atmosphere but “everything” on a basic cheeseburger does not include mayonnaise and an order of onion rings had just five of them. Sat there looking at the wife’s food of chicken tenders and fries which was overflowing.
I was not impressed with any of the food I ordered and felt it was over priced for the quality.
I was excited for my son to eat here for the first time and I hadn't been here in years, but had fond memories of my last experience. We ordered a bacon cheddar burger on a gluten free bun, sweet potato fries and a Frito pie. The burger I expected to be greasy for the type it was, but not that greasy. It was also flavorless. The bun was cold and fell apart very easily. As for the sweet potato fries, they were soggy and barely warm. However, it was the Frito pie that took the cake. It was served cold. I'm talking the cheese and chili came straight from the refrigerator cold not room temperature cold. My son asked for them to heat it up and the girl at the counter handed it to someone in the back for what seemed like a few minutes. Yet, when he brought it back, it was still just as cold. We only finished the burger, but more than half of the fries and almost all of the Frito pie was left behind.
