San Antonio Aquarium reviews
17So much more than just an aquarium! They have so many different animals and habitats, and everything is very interactive! You can feed most of the animals and pet many of them also! The stingrays were a HUGE hit. The animal habitats seem very well kept and you could tell the keepers loved the animals they care for
I felt terrible for the animals in such a crowded space, it smells awful and it's dirty. Sad sad experience.
Although spent more than an hour but, I personally feel few staffs can be thrown out as they really dont know professionalism especially there was one fat guy. Overly obese who was probably the security guard if I am not mistaken. Anyway, coming to the good points the animals are quite well trained and well maintained. However, the name and the species that are being kept doesnt go hand in hand. There could br more of water animals compared to mammals. Overall okay okay types. I guess one time visit is fine. As its costly too and almost every encountered is chargeable.
If i could give 0 stars i would.they are absolutely terrible to the animals here. They had 2 bearded dragons in one tag, aswell as fecese all over the floor of the iguana enclosure. The staff couldn’t tell me where the octopus was either and i was bit my a fish.
Had a great time checking out all their animals, especially the Ray's pool.
Highly recommend if you're visiting San Antonio. Make sure to check out their Animals outside as well!
I was pleasantly surprised! There are lots of opportunities to pet and feed the animals. It's not just an aquarium. They've got some land animals too. We went on a Saturday and expected to work through large crowds but we were able to see everything along with our twins (14 months) in their stroller. It took us an hour moving at a good pace. You could spend a lot more time hanging out and feeding the animals. We noticed some people actually going inside the exhibits to visit with the animals. If you plan to do this, I took note for myself for a future visit, dress in something you don't mind getting messy.
The animals are amazing. Its a great place dont get me wrong.
Though.this is my humble opinion and review.some of the animals cages are way to small for them. I know its like captivity thing.but where they have the penguins is way to small they look so sad and uncomfortable. They do have some cool stuff to do overall but I think thats what made me leave the place with my kids the penguins. They need to try and make it better for the animals that live there.
Many, many exhibits to experience. Hands on opportunities. There are a variety of animals. A bit pricey, but probably worth it. It was very cool in a hot summer’s day.
Edward made a huge effort to extend his passion for the animals he cared for and made both me and my previously apprehensive fiancé more comfortable interacting with the animals there.
We saw everything from lemurs, to birds to stingrays, to an octopus. Each animal was approachable and friendly. It was amazing to see how responsive and lively they were and how comfortable they were around people and children.
I definitely recommend this place if you want a unique and intimate experience with animals. Everyone there is passionate about what they do and made the experience more enjoyable.mike, our cashier was also super friendly!
Lol. Never seen an aquarium like dis
It's basically a big petting zoo
My daughter loved it!
Griselda was one of the first workers to help us with the feeding for the animals and was super helpful and beyond friendly! She told us all about the memberships and the a bit about the animals, we will definitely return as members because of her! Had such an amazing time here with all the other super friendly staff! We also found an iguana egg while enjoying the day, sat with a lemur, soaked my feet with koi fish, and met a sweet bird lady named Maddie in the outside enclosure
Was really fun! Definitely a lot to do with kids. I think there should be more education involved as opposed to just entertainment. The animals are clearly well cared for and happy though:)
Employees were great and very knowledgeable about all the animals. Went on a Sunday morning, not crowded at all. Entry Overpriced. Tokens to feed and interact with animals are also overpriced. More reptiles and zoo animals than sea life. Wouldn't go again. Sealife downtown was better.
Do NOT let the 4.2 stars confuse you. This place is horrible. It is dirty, smells bad, the animals are in cages way to small for them. The kangaroos look malnourished, one of the lamas looked dead. It is the worst Aquarium I’ve ever been to. Do not waist your money here.
The place is very beautiful, you can interact with the animals, it is not very big, but it is enough. Highly recommended.
Very good place to spend a few hours with the grandchildren very entertaining with a wide variety of animals
Some animals I haven't seen and the place was small
We bought tickets online. When we walked in the door nobody even checked our tickets we should have just walked in without purchasing.unethical hack.try it
