Let me tell you, the 2 employees I encountered today were so pleasant and very helpful! I believe their names are Luis and Roland, with it being busy they both took the time to actually talk to me and treated me with respect. Kudos to these 2!

Online system let's you get in line from anywhere and adjust your spot in line if necessary. Then you can wait outside when you arrive. I had my two little kids with me and it went smooth.

I came in today to request a birth certificate for my Grandson, who is 6 months old. The lady at the desk, was curt and
rude. I initially tried to explain to her about needing a BC for him because my daughter, who is disabled never turned in
the registration for him at the hospital. She wouldn't listen. Kept trying to look him up in the computer. By the 4th time when she told me she couldn't find him, I explained again that he was never registered. The hospital didn't get the info or ask her for it. Once, she finally understood, she got her supervisor who proceeded to tell me that I needed to go to Austin and file a ' delayed birth certificate '. He is only 6 months. He is not a year old. Both ladies gave me the wrong info and were rude and seemed to only want me out of their line so they could go home. I came in on a Friday afternoon. I checked online and with Austin to verify this info. Now I have to go back up there and explain the situation again. They were unprofessional and rude and I didn't appreciate them, Giving me the wrong info. I am going to request a Supervisor as soon as I return and if I could report them to Austin, I will! Wasted my time and energy.

I visited this place last week, while the people working there were nice, I can only give it one star since it took 2 hrs and 20 minutest to get a birth certificate. I have checked their waitting time on the Qless app at other days and times and it seems to be the norm; sadly enough there does not seem to be other options other than paying more to get the document online.

Girls at the front desk too sign in are so very kind and will answer any questions you have, then after you fill out your paper take the clip board back too the front desk, then go sit down and wait until your number is called, I recommend to go early in the morning because the place does get packed, Thank you, Have a wonderful safe blessed day!

Online signed works fine the problem is the people at the windows they take it to slow in one of the windows two people took them 1 hour and 15 minutes to get out of there

Smooth process to get a birth certificate if you are immediate family. Make sure you read what you need to take with you so you don't get denied service. I used the online check in function and it saved me so much time by showing up right as my name was going to be called. They send you messages to let you know the wait time and you can request more time if you are running late. Great service by the staff. Lot of people inside though so seating may run out.

This office is super unorganized and I wish there was somewhere else to go to get a birth certificate in San Antonio Texas the girl at the front is the most incompetent person I've ever had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with

It took a long time to be seen due to the amount of people needing birth, death, funeral services and passports. Expect your wait time to be 2-2.5 hours.

Worst service ever! Lady’s at the check in window didn’t help at all. I had to ask a window lady for help because Joanne was been so rude.

I have been online since 9am when I arrived they didn’t accept any of my IDs, finally I got a way to get together every document they ask for and Joanne told me I was online, however; My name wasn’t on the screen. I checked on my phone and I wasn’t online anymore. I told them I didn’t saw my name and they said it was because I was messing with my phone. At that moment they took my forms and ids, something they didn’t do at the beginning. Joanne told me I had to get back in line and wait till the end. I could wait because my daughter has a Drs appointment. So still no birth certificate for my baby

I would have gave it a zero Stars if it was able but low is one I could give it wasn't one we waited over 5 hours to get in and then they said they close at 4: 30 and the time they were saying that we might get in was after that so I don't see how that works they should get more people to do it or expend so that there can be more windows and they can help more people cuz this rating 56789 even 12 hours is ridiculous

Terrible service they give you a number and an estimated time in which they will attend to you but at 4.30 they close the windows and they do not care if they have not finished with all the numbers they gave during the day. We were waiting six hours for when it was my turn they closed the windows and nothing else comes to tell you that another day they can attend to you.

THIS PLACE IS AWFUL! ITS A WASTE OF TIME MAKE SURE YOU ARE READY TO WAIT AND BE DENIED FOR MISS INFORMATION BECAUSE NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND GIVE MISS INFORMATION. As a single mother trying to get a death certificate for my son under the age of 10, they have made the process impossible with all the miss information. I was never married to his father and his family will not help me obtain one. If you are a single parent in the same situation please learn from mine and don’t waste your time and money. Please review this paper and make sure you have the following documents or you will be wasting your time waiting 4+ hours to be told no.

Download the app to sign up online! I arrived at the office around 7: 40 am and there was already 20+ people waiting in line. As soon as it was 8am many people either scanned the qr code that is posted on the outside windows or signed up through the app. I was there for a birth certificate and was in line to be called within 6 minutes. The door opened right at 8 and the security guard was asking everyone what we were there for and politely directed us to the appropriate line. A lady asked if I was there for a birth certificate and gave me an application to fill out. My name was called pretty quickly. I was out the door within 30 minutes.

It's always busy crowded hard to get in and out they need to have more space and they wouldn't help me get a copy of my birth certificate I always got it before

I believe the CITY OF SAN ANTONIO makes an enormous amount of Captial from the CITIZENS in all area they can come up with to make money! What makes all they can take from US ALL is upsetting, WHY can't they update their info online!?
We literally physically have to drive down to the Offices that best fits OUR needs, you get there and they are Closed early due to some Holiday? !

First off, go to the website and register; it does save some time. Please note; the earliest you can register is 8am. If you go in person without registering the wait time is excessive and people arrive as early as 730am and wait in line. Also, if you register online or through the app (which you can download) check the Status frequently as it is not that accurate. Also, on the website download application, fill it out that also is a time changer. Once registered on the app/ website/in person, you will receive text messages indicating estimated wait time and when it's your turn what window to go to. If you decide to get in line and wait in lobby, The screen in the waiting room will call you by the last four numbers of your telephone number and then direct you which window to go to. This is only in English, so if you don't speak English, please take someone who does because you will be lost in there. The window tellers do speak spanish but the person calling the numbers out is only in English. People, please be kind to security guard; he's only doing his job. Outside the window (next to the security guard), there is a qr code you take a picture of it, and it takes you to the website. I would recommend taking cash to make payment.
The staff isn't the most welcoming, and they do seem as if they hate their job. When I arrived, I was told I had a 5-hour wait, and they were right. They are disorganized. It is small in there. You have to pay attention to your number. I hope this helps.

Set up the hold in line. The time kept going up and down. Went from 48 to 9 in 15 minutes. The system need work. Waited all day and now have to go in another day. Just wait at the place, dont rely on the messages.
