San Antonio Chimney Sweep and Masonry

We had a an inspection and chimney sweep and a rain cap and damper installed. The service was friendly, thorough, and high quality. Highly recommended.

Two weeks ago I scheduled an appointment with SA Chimney Sweep & Masonry. They were scheduled to arrive this morning between 9: 00 and 11: 00. When I scheduled the appointment I was told the only thing that would prevent them from showing would be the weather. My husband and I both stayed home for this appointment. I was called at 10: 45 by the company to say they would not be able to come because of the weather. I told her I didn’t understand because it’s a sunny day here in San Antonio and it’s definitely not windy. She then responded that the sweeper was coming from Houston and there’s flooding in Houston.
I checked weather conditions in Houston it’s presently cloudy with possible rain moving in around 2: 00 this afternoon. I also checked street and highway closures for Houston.
I-45 & I-69 show accidents, but are not closed. I-10 indicates no reported accidents and no flooding mentioned anywhere.
I fail to understand why the person scheduled to come out this morning was commuting from Houston in the first place.
I will not schedule another appointment.
