We spent 2 seasons at Elite. Many issues led to us deciding not to return for a third season. The 20-21 season there was minimal communication with the club owners except for when there was a billing issue. I was informed that my account was delinquent by $400 and after looking through bank statements and realizing that I wasn’t behind at all, it took weeks to make contact with them regarding the issue and correct the issue and credit our account the right amount (even though I was still getting emails every other day about the money they said I owed them). We were hopeful that maybe it was a fluke or an off season with Covid being fresh, so we signed up for another season assuming that things would get better. Unfortunately, this season- things were no better and in many ways worse. There were many issues this season from more lack of communication from owners unless it it payment related and you owe them money, lack of transparency, lack of effective leadership, lack of the same expectations across the board. The facilities are terrible compared to other clubs. The girls can’t even serve properly due to the fact that other than the restroom entrance, there is only about 18 inches of serving space on either side. The gym is dirty and not maintained well. They also do not offer any extras that other clubs offer included with club fees for things like strength and conditioning with weights, or Vertimax. There is also a lack of volleyball training tools available here. The coaches here are pretty great but our coaches both left mid season due to the toxic environment that did run over to effect the parents and players at no fault of the coaches. We never knew who our coaches were or would possibly be when we had to pay the commitment fee of $400 and sign a contract making us obligated for the full club fee, this is not normal- 2 other top clubs that our daughter does privates the players and parents know who will be coaching the team at tryouts and that coach hand picks their team, with the club owners. We wouldn’t know who our coach was until November and we were expected to pay the $400 commitment fee and start payments for club fees in May. In some cases at Elite coaches wouldn’t have even been hired yet to coach teams. The club cost at Elite is equivalent and higher than other clubs (and as of mid May was set to increase this coming season) who offer more for the money and a higher level of play and many more national level teams.

Communication- Elite directors and owners do not do a good job communication with parents and players unless it is regarding payments and they believe that you owe them money. If the communication is not related to that, your emails, calls and texts will go for sometimes weeks with no answer.

Favorites- The directors and owners have obvious favorites (players and coaches). If you are not a favorite your play time will be less regardless of talent.

Uniforms- the uniforms here are cheap. The club logo, names and numbers peeled off and needed to be fixed after the first tournament. This is because they were ironed on by the owners using cheap vinyl and not done professionally which we paid for.

Facilities- Elite has the worst facilities that I have seen in a long time. The gym is filthy, it smells, bathrooms and water fountains are disgusting. The nets/ mats are old and not well maintained. The floor is coming apart and shifts under the players feet and has a couple missing pieces. There are huge holes in the walls, lights that have been out all season. The cleanliness of this gym is bad. There are only two courts that are right on top of each other. There is also no way for this club to teach proper serving because there is no space anywhere in the gym to actually serve the ball and work on service drills. There is also no space for teams to work on proper ball retrieval if the ball leaves the actual court because of lack of space around the courts.

Environment- The overall environment and attitude from the owners/directors is toxic and puts a cloud over the entire club which is sad because of the talent that the coaches and players bring.

Hands down, one of my favorite clubs. My kids have played for a few in the SA area, but these directors go above and beyond. They truly care about each athlete. The coaches are great and very knowledgeable. We would recommended SA Elite to any family asking.

Great group of Coaches and families at SA Elite! My daughter has played for four years - but the most improvement has come in the last few months with these coaches on the 21-22 SAEVB 121 Premiere team! Go Elite!

I just have a question do y’all allow girl and boy teams? I have a friend who is a guy and wants to play but I need to know if guys can be on teams with girls.

My daughter has had a wonderful experience with this club. She has enjoyed her coaches immensely and the owners always go the extra mile for their players. The clinics are wonderfully run, and my daughter has enjoyed the camps as well.

The 12’s coach cheats in every single way she can and tells the girls to complain to the ref and the coach treats them badly so they make fun of the other players
