San Antonio Food Bank

What an awesome place that provides many services. There Spurs outdoor community garden is well kept. The animal services are very needed in the community. San Antonio is lucky to have this place. Volunteer.

I currently live in a small community named Crystal City, Tx. The SA Food Bank has without a question helped this community with food distribution to the ones in need. Let me tell ya'll though, the food quality is bad. I do understand that old saying beggars can't be choosers, but that's the whole purpose of the food bank. To give food, EDIBLE FOOD, to those in need. The food they give is beyond it's expiration date and the canned food is just poor quality. This is food that local grocery stores do not sell or want to throw away. YES IT'S THAT BAD! YOU GUYS NEED BETTER QUALITY FOOD!

God bless this place and volunteer for all the generosity! Our city is a better place because they exist!

Had an Appt for 10am. Pulled in at 9: 45. Turned in paperwork at that time. Said they would call me when they have a door. Park along the fence furthest infront of the dock doors. Checkin at door 3. Got the call at 10am, backed in, offloaded 9 pallets of frozen shrimp. Had clean BOL by 10: 30.

I thank them from the bottom of my heart they provided food for my family 10 Stars two thumbs up

They do amazing work, and 98% of donations go to food. They have lots of different volunteer opportunities, from sorting food in the warehouse to delivering to homebound folks to working in their gardens, and they make it a great experience. If you a bit of time or money to spare, please consider sending it their way!

A great help but an almost all day thing because of the amount of people in need currently. Just be patient and it's worth your time.

Great organization with great folks doing great work in our community! You'd be surprised at how much they do to help our neighbors, and how many people are in need. You can come help make a difference by volunteering in the warehouse, donating food, or money.

They are very attentive and helpful. They give a smile and I can see they love doing what they do. I’d hate to compare but they do such an awesome job as a team!

I love volunteering in here. This place helps a lot of people to get food. Amazing program from the US Government.

My church group and I got a chance to help make over 13000 meals in about a 3 hour time frame. They have the pallets, food, boxes, and more! The place was clean and well laid out. The group leaders were very nice and respectful. I'm thankful for the opportunity and encourage others to go individually or as a group!

I just called them They don't actually give you food they only help with signing you up for snap or tanf or job help, I was planning to go since I lost my job and snap hasn't kicked in yet so I figured i could get food for my son and I.they gave me a list of churches that have a food pantry its a little mis leading to call yourself a foodbank but you dont actually hand out food: (

Volunteered here on part for work, staff was extremely helpful in telling what needed to be done. Great place and offer a good service for our community.

Awesome, everything was ready. The staff was professional and helpful. Johnny was working hard on this hot day. He assisted with directions and was concerned for our safety.

Great people, my company volunteered here and we had a ton of fun. I also really appreciate the cooking program, my friend graduated from it and it's just a great program for the community.

This is a wonderful place you can apply for food stamps will give you food Medical you can apply for all kinds of stuff in this place it's wonderful

I volunteered here in the community kitchen and the farm, the staff always make people feel welcome and it makes the works go by fast and fun.

I was kinda freaked out at first but the staff made my visit and business very pleasant and calmed my nerves
