My stay at this hotel was great in terms of the room, staff, and amenities. The problem is in billing. Halfway through my stay I noticed something wasn’t correct and after talking with several people including calling customer support I found someone who apologized and said they would fix the problem. When checking out I ask the desk attendant to double check that the bill was correct. She assured me it was. I just downloaded the rec and it is still wrong. I called support again and was told they will get back to me in 3 to 5 days. I average over 100 nights a year in hotels and had just switched to Marriott brands from Hilton. I have never had an issue like this with Hilton. Depending on how this is resolved I may be switching back to Hilton’s for good even though I do like the Marriotts a little better than the Hilton’s.

The floor was filthy n looks like from years didn’t change the carpet n house keeping dnt bother to vacuum …pillows looked clean but it was stinking like hell
Very important thing is no parking place they just have a valet parking with $50
…one positive point is that the property is in the rever walk.

From the time I made it to the front door, everyone was so helpful and friendly! Beautiful view from my room on the 25th floor!

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

Terrible check in… no parking anywhere. Front desk was super nice and that is the only positive thing I have to say about this hotel. The pool was freezing and way over crowded. No water in the room. Couldn’t order room service or even to go food from your room. You had to go down to the bar area and order food, wait 20 minutes, and then bring it back up to your room yourself. Not worth the $450 for one night. Same as staying at a best western or la Quinta for $100. Save your money and time and go somewhere else….

The reason for one star is because I check in on July 24 to July 26, before I check out I try to talk so many times to the valet manager because they damaged my right side passenger mirror. I did a report they said they will get back to me and still no answer.

Everything was awesome other the valet parking. I would definitely recommend just paying the the 10$ parking next door. After we checked out it took 2 1/2 hours of us waiting outside to get our vehicle.

Friendly service but overall experience was lacking. Business / vacation trip for my wife and I. The room and bathroom was clean and nice enough, but no comfortable chair & desk to do a little work. I am a big hater of hotels that don't offer free WiFi in this day and age. Good lord, you can go to a Starbucks and get free WiFi, but not at an expensive hotel? Also, a major bummer for me personally, was that the hotel bar wasn't open during the day. That's where I do my area Intel to scoop best places to go, etc. Everyone is traveling again and spending good money on terrible airline services and hotel prices, it would be nice to see amenities and services, especially the Bar being open for lunch. That's what separates good and so so hotels - what are they doing extra than the others to earn your business? I try to be understanding of staffing shortages post covid, but maybe lower your prices then? There was no inviting memory for me to return or recommend this hotel to any friend or family. There is nothing that stands out besides being overpriced in a tourist area.

The hotel was nice and visually appealing the rooms were nice but there were a bunch of little inconveniences that really threw off the experience. For example they didn't have parking for my truck I had to park off the hotel that was just a hassle for having to walk to and from the hotel to get to my truck. 2nd the store in the hotel closes really early so you can't get drinks or food whenever you want so we had to leave the hotel yet again for that. 3rd there was no microwave in our room we had to leave i room and floor and go to another floor just to use the microwave. Those were the inconveniences but overall the hotel was good

This used to be one of my go to's when staying downtown. Ever since the last time it was used for hurricane relief temporary housing. Never been able to get back to the 5 star amenities I was so looking fwd to

Great location! This hotel is so convenient to Rivercenter mall, Legoland, SeaLife aquarium, the convention center, and the riverwalk. We had a great room with an amazing riverwalk view, but we didn't actually spend much time in it.

We had to park valet and sure enough the next morning my husbands truck was severely damaged. They pulled his truck up behind another vehicle that hadn't moved in 20 minutes and that was still practically in the parking garage so it was dark. They also conveniently parked it to where the left side (driver side-where the damage was) was on the wall of the parking garage while all the other vehicles were being pulled completely out of the garage and into the valet area (whole car visible). The driver knew what he had done and was trying to hide it. If anyone knows how valet works, it's always rushed so of course my husband got in his truck in a hurry. After our hour long drive home, of course is when we inspect his truck and sure enough the largest deepest scratch was right there on his left wheel arch panel. So of course it made sense as to why they parked his truck the way they did (practically still inside the garage and on the left side-where the vehicle in front of his hadn't move since the 20 minutes we were waiting) Shocker, they don't want to take responsibly. This hotel needs to do a vehicle inspection before and AFTER they park customers vehicles. Absolutely unacceptable.

I’ll have to circle back for a true rating whenever I get a response from management. It wasn’t the fact that both lamps needed lightbulbs, actually they just weren’t plugged in when we were able to pull the bed and side tables out. And it wasn’t that we were given just one plastic wrapped cup to drink from. Heck, it wasn’t even the too small sheets that ended up folding back so my head was on the mattress when I woke up. What earned the one star rating was the call I made to the front desk and it was never answered, I mean never. I set the phone down and called on my cell where I was put through a circle j of messages. When I picked phone back up after 10 minutes it was still ringing. I will walk down this morning to beg for more cups.

Great location above the Riverwalk, convenient to the sights and not noisy. Comfy spacious room, very clean. Pool just okay, good in the heat but outside deck is worn. Very nice restaurant, Tributary, off lobby. Nice staff and easy parking.

Had an amazing stay at this hotel for my birthday, which also happened to be Fiesta week in San Antonio! The staff, especially Franchesca, went above and beyond to make sure I had a special visit, awesome room and some cool perks (like a late check out and free parking). The rooms with balconies/views are amazing over the River Walk. The breakfast buffet is so good and Elisa, our server, was the cutest and friendliest person ever! All of the hotel staff did an outstanding job of accommodating any questions/requests that we had. You cannot be the location and access to the River Walk and downtown. The only quirk was that self-parking was tight and limited in the parking garage, that was a little scary. Really great stay, would recommend, thank you!

Good experience staying here. Nice, spacious and clean room. If you want an awesome balcony view, with a King size bed, look to see if you can stay in room 1814. We got lucky and got this room, we also qualified for a late checkout at 1p.m. And our room was ready before 4p.m. So we got lucky and were able to get an early check in. You need to request for your room to be cleaned at the concierge before 10a.m. Oh and if you need to, you can do your laundry, machines are free you just need to provide your own detergent, there's a cvs by the Rainforest cafe.

If only everyone was Franny at the front desk. After a long day of traveling and fun she got us up to our room in record speed with a smile. We love the Marriott even more now knowing they employ the best of the best! See you again soon!
