Place is set up pretty well, saw everything in about 2 hours, couple issues with all but one elevator not working, water fountains out of service and blocking off most stairwells made navigation a lot of backtracking. Other than that, had a really good time and learned a lot. Was able to catch the American Impressionist exhibit which I am really into.

Great museum. If you're on a budget, visit during one if their free times. If you're on a time crunch, visit their website to scope out the exhibits. Check out the outdoor sculpture garden too. Historic building and charm. Beautiful Riverwalk views.

Limited but interesting collection of Egyptian artifacts. The American impressionists exhibit was not worth even the extra five bucks

Not much to see or read. I was left with tons of questions after seeing each piece. Each description plaque is rather brief and vague.

What a wonderful museum, however, make sure to bring your walking shoes; because, there is so much to see, multiple floors, exhibits, like the Greaks, Egyptian, as well as, Texas history. Also, some pop culture for us Batman and Transformer geeks. I think this is a must see.
5 out of five mustaches…

Some really good exhibits and well preserved Greek pottery. One of the elevators on one side of the museum was broken and some of the water fountains were broken. My sister in law was breastfeeding in a secluded area with a cover and was told she was breaking the "no food or drink" rule of the museum and was told to go to a slightly more secluded hallway a floor above. I'm disappointed there is no area for parents to feed babies and that they said it was against the rules. The fact that the museum doesn't accommodate for parents with babies is pretty messed up in this day and age.

In hard times as these I understand non-profits are struggling but $20 for museum entrance is a bit steep, especially when one half of the building is inaccessible because the elevator was broke and tons of exhibit space was empty or unavailable. The Impressionism show was nice and there were cool guides for different occasions up front.

Always love visiting this museum. The kids like it too, and never seem to get bored with it! It's not usually very crowded, and masks are required, so it feels safe enough to be indoors there during the pandemic.

Wide and varied permanent exhibits but not lots of depth. Lovely special exhibit of American Impressionists with a few iconic pieces. Well worth a trip! The Egyptian, Roman, and Greek exhibits were a happy surprise.

Museum staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The museum was clean and air conditioned. Perfect place for a family outing!

Have lived here in S. A.for well over a decade and this was the first time visiting. Was a nice change of museum since we frequent other spots, but geared more towards adults, not so much younger kiddos. Still a nice place.

So much wonderful art. Saw so many beautiful pieces. You might need two days to see it all.

Came here on a date and I'll say it truly one to remember that the amount of arts and sculptures throughout history is outstanding
