San Augustine Park reviews
14Spending the week here.super clean, nice parking areas.bathrooms are clean as well.good job!
Would give it a 5 but the 2 spots were in there's not much shade in the evening til dark. So if you don't mind direct heat all day you will love it. Also the restrooms a a haul to get to so drive over there. The park is clean and so are the restrooms just very hot inside. The view is Beautiful the beach Is close and clean.
San Augustine Park is a beautiful park with lovely RV and tent camping areas. The swimming area is fantastic for my grandchildren, with its relatively shallow water and white sand beach. My grandchildren like the playground as well. Recommended!
Been here a couple of times. Once with tents and now with RV's. Spent most of our time in the swimming area with the kiddos. Fishing is very popular here. Not a place for hiking and biking trails, although we did bring bikes for the kids and our electric bike to dart to the restroom. Restrooms were clean and nice. Place can get VERY crowded on weekends. Would like to see the grass trimmed more. We stayed in a prime spot. #20.for quick access to the swimming area. Book way in advance for these areas. Most campsites have shade with a small fire pit/grill. Some even have covered picnic tables. Fun place
Not what we expected with a COE park, most are well maintained. This park is in dire need of some improvements. Our site was very unlevel to the point we couldn’t completely level our trailer. Breaker kept tripping at the pedestal. Maybe we just picked the worst campsite.
We had a blast camping in our camper. Love the lake and it not being overcrowded. We will be back.
It is a really nice park. Restrooms were clean. Volunteers in the office very helpful. We were on site 41 and couldn't get totally level. But beware.when we first got to the camp grounds we parked our rig in the boat launch parking area so we could walk to see where our camp spot was since we had never been there. In the short time we were gone and out of sight someone lowered our tailgate and stole our ice chest. I was told someone else had something stolen from their truck the week before.
We love this COE park on Sam Reyburn resevoir.sites are good size, spaced apart with both good water and 30amp electric.
Nice place to go for relaxing time boat and fishing beautiful lake with RV space to stay good for family trip.
Plenty of space to launch with more than adequate areas to beach your boat. Looking to get up the Ayish quickly, this is it.
Fishing up here is good, some great camping spots, but the "day" for the day pass runs 2pm-2pm meaning if you get there for your spot in the morning, you may be waiting a while the actually get to use it.
Nice camp ground with nice amenities, if no COVID-19. Even at that, nice rv park. Clean restrooms, very nice.
Worst shower i ever used. Made no sense.push button for cold water spray misted for maximum misery. Otherwise scenic, clean and pleasant staff.
Nice boat launch and camping area. There is a very nice little store/restaurant nearby as well. The boat launch has a walk out dock.
