We stayed at Sandpiper resort #1206 October 4-7,2022. Would not recommend this resort. We had multiple issues with the hot water sensors going off and having to wait for maintenance staff to come reset, this happened repeatedly – this unit holds up to 8 people but the sensor and hot water run out on the first shower! Additionally during the “off season” they do not put out any beach loungers or chairs but allow you to pull out from under the walkway stairwell; however, nobody checks these and most are broken or cracked and then break while in use and then the recline set is lost and you are jerked to the base, potentially injuring yourself. Why the staff tries hard to accommodate, these are issues that go up to the Sandpiper Board and Manager, John. I spoke briefly to John, during one of my calls, he promised to call back to speak with us about the issues and never responded again. This was quite the disappointment. If not for these safety and infuriating water issues, this would have been a beautiful visit – the ocean view from the 12th floor balcony is amazing, the balcony has plenty of seating and is roomy and the beach is a very short walk. The staff, including the front desk, housekeeping and maintenance were very professional and accommodating. Management and the Board obviously do not understand that making sure guests are safe and happy guarantees their return.

We stayed in Condo 205. Very nice and roomy. Plenty of amenities and comfortable beds. The resort itself has a nice pool and easy access to the beach. Service from the umbrella staff was not great and they really were not very friendly or even apologetic after they messed up on setting up our umbrellas. Aside from that, I recommend Sandpiper to anyone looking for a beach getaway.

Sandpiper is very clean and well taken care of. Staff is very helpfull and takes good care of their guest. The walk is very close to the beach which we enjoyed. We stayed in unit 904. The unit is nicely decorated and the only problem with the unit is not enough closet space and the bed. The owner has blocked off and locked most of the storage up and if you are staying more than 3 days that could be a problem. The bed is very high and hard to get in. I am 5'6 and it came up to my waist. You have to sort of roll in and I could see this bed being a problem with seniors.

Absolutely love this place. We stayed on the 12th floor and the view was incredible. Great facilities and wonderful happy employees made it even better.

Website is horrible. Lost booking because the calendar kept showing available dates but when a range was selected, the rooms were always unavailable.

Individually owned condos rented out (1,2 and 3 bedroom units available). Has a front desk check in, luggage carts for your convenience and an elevator. During the summer months umbrellas and chairs are placed out for a small fee - must be reserved at the front desk. Nice pool and hot tub and a fabulous view of the Gulf waters. Just a short walk over the board walk to the water. About a 10 minute drive into Port A.

We always have a great view from here to the beach. Each condo is beautiful and unique in its own way. Can't wait to go again.

Beautiful condos. It's just an amazing place to stay. Pool, hot tub, right on the beach, peir type walk from resort to beach. Chairs supplied for the beach showers outside by the beach to rinse off. The rooms are absolutely amazing! The staff is perfect! So very friendly, so helpful and fun! Food and bar trucks are there on different days. Great place to relax.

My family and I went last August, and had an amazing time! The staff is very friendly and courteous. The rooms are beautiful. The best view hands down of the beach.

The reception staff was friendly and gave very good directions. The areas I traveled were clean and showed care by the staff taking care of the building.

I have seen this building many times from the outside and can say they do have a beautiful view of the dunes, beach and water.

I've been going to the Sandpiper for over a decade; it's my preferred place to stay when I'm in the Mustang Island area. I always stay in the same unit because I love it so much and have so many memories there.

The Sandpiper has its own private entrance to the beach, the beach is always clean, and there are a number of washing stations on the walk back to the condo so you can get as much sand off of you as possible. There are also plastic chairs and towels available so you can minimize the amount of stuff you have to take with you.

Amazing views, great staff, nicely updated resort and amenities. We've stayed in several local condo resorts in the area, and this is our favorite so far. I wish I could live here full time!

The Sandpiper is our “Go to” vacation space since 2020, when Covid began. We have stayed in three different condos and all were great. Our favorite one we have been back to three times in the past year, including Christmas 2020. The decor is superior and each condo uniquely decorated. There’s an ocean view from all condos starting at the 3rd floor (so you can see over the dunes). The master bed in our unit is the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. We have all we could possibly need here. We cook all of our meals in the fully equipped kitchen. There’s tennis (if you can find a non-windy day), ping-pong, pool, shuffle board, and an excellent swimming pool - sparkling clean and heated. The whirlpool spa is giant. There’s a laundry mat, vending machines, and a book lending library. The boardwalk goes straight to the beach. Sasha is the manager during the week. She and staff are very accommodating. It’s a quick drive into Port A’s IGA grocery store, where you can pick-up provisions. I can’t say enough about this magical paradise!

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days on our getaway. It is nice to see the ocean right outside our balcony. I think we will get a bigger room for our family. Once checked in, there is some bathroom items for you to get settled in so one does not have to run around town. Shower gel, lotion, shampoo and conditoner for starters.

First time stay. Very clean. Conveniently close to the beach and love the food trucks they have outside. 4 stars because the checkout process is a bit ridiculous. Penalized for not stripping the bed of sheets, nor running the dishwasher? Come on, that should not be asked of guests spending over $500 a night.

No complaints otherwise.

Every condo is unique. Right on the beach. We can come back to the same condo every year so it feels like home. The units are always spotlessly clean.

Clean beach and pool towels are constantly available at the front desk. The boardwalk has an open air shower and feet rinsing station.

Staff sets up tents on the beach, early in the morning 7: 00am to reserve your space, that you can rent. $35 a day. Only negative, they didn't bother to clean up the trash so you may be sitting in a tent surrounded by trash.
