Sapporo Izakaya, The Woodlands TX

I recently had dinner there. I ordered seven pieces of sushi, two being pieces of smoked salmon. I proceeded to eat one and knew something was wrong immediately and spit the remaining portion into a napkin and called the waiter over. Told him it was bad. He took the other piece away to “try”. Came back and said that yes, something was off it. My guest and I paid and left. An hour later we met up with friends and I became violently ill. We weren’t far from the restaurant so went there first to let them know to stop serving the salmon. Went to the hospital and sure enough after getting my stomach pumped they found bacteria. I called the restaurant a day later. I had no intention of proceeding further. Simply wanted to at least get the meal cost reembursed as well as medical costs paid. They said I’d be called back. Never happened. I physically went in asking that the owners contact me and was now getting upset because they showed no signs of even caring about what had happened. It has been almost 3 weeks since I last went in and still to date no one has reached out to me. I’ve had good experiences there in the past and I live in the real world and understand that things like this happen. Although it is unacceptable for their lack of care or concern over a guest who got sick from the food they served. On a side note…. When I went in they did try to put all blame on their distributor. The place isn’t bad but if you get sick there don’t expect for them to give any care whatsoever.

Amazing everything. Went in for lunch today with my boyfriend and enjoyed a nice and quiet meal with great service. Our waiter made a perfect suggestion of the pink lady roll and it’s my new fav. Their cherry blossom tini is the best drink I’ve ever had! Have gone in here a handful of times as it’s near my house and is always excellent.

This restaurant is really good!
My favorite items in the menu is the bento boxes super tasty and for just $18 dollars like wow!
The atmosphere is stunning, our server was super attentive and friendly. Our favorite sushi place is defenely Sapporo!

Soooo yummy! Blown away by the hibachi shrimp for lunch. The hibachi veggies were great, and Jeremy was an awesome server.

Stop looking everyone, this is the best Japanese restaurant in the area. Everything we had was delicious, thank you

Okay so hands down the best edamame I’ve had. The chicken teriyaki bento box is exquisite & the fish is amazing. The gyoza is so great as well. Service was amazing, definitely recommend.

Cool vibe inside, great waitstaff, super easy to get a table.

Wagyu beef special was delicious, spicy cucumber app was just right. Great selection. I'll go back.

Might try dine in the future but wouldn't do a delivery again.

The delivery menu prices are way higher than dine in. Food tasted good but there was so little of it for the amount we paid.

The portions are very generous and high quality seafood! It is lively and has great vibes. Probably best in town in my opinion. The service is exceptional as well.

Great food and service. I love their lunch deals-2 rolls and a soup or salad for 20 bucks. I usually get the shaggy dog roll and the pink lady roll. Tried their bento for the 1st time and it was good too.

My Wife and I just tried the Hawaii Roll first time and we love it! Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen never disappoints. TheStaff is amazing. Highly recommend Sushi Combo B with pepper tuna!

Forgot my takoyaki, sushi looked like whatever and the one was watery and the other barely had any of the sweet chili on top: c the onion soup was solid. Out of all the money I spent the best thing was the $3 onion soup.

I’ve lived in The woodlands a long time and just started going here. Wish I would have started sooner, great service and great food/rolls

So disgusting. I usually go to the location of 1488. I’ve never had a bad meal there. Just ordered to go from this location and wow, what a big difference. They put all the hot and cold items together. I ordered the yuzu yellowtail and the meat looks disgusting. They’re suppose to put the yuzu sauce on the side and instead they already put it on there, allowing everything to get soggy. Absolutely disgusting. And on top of it I got a basic tuna roll and they coated it in fish sauce for some unknown reason. Total waste of money.

Jeremy was our waiter and he was amazing! Excellent customer service! Sushi was very good! Nice atmosphere. Decent prices.
