I went to Savanna after seeing how successful her instagram was and thought I'd give it a shot but let me just say that you will learn way more about skincare from her instagram alone. Before going to her, I had good skin and I'm pretty familiar about skincare. I know what brands/ingredients work for my skin type so I seeked her out for treatments that would help boost my skin to make it even better.

I got a "consultation and treatment" but I was disappointed because I only talked to the woman who worked at the front desk. She just asked me standard questions and wrote them down on an iPad and told me she would talk to Savanna. She asked me my budget and I told her $300. I asked the woman if Savanna could review my current regimen and see if I needed to change anything. She said that my skincare routine was fine and I ended up purchasing 2 extra products from Savanna and incorporating them into my routine. My "treatment" from Savanna lasted a total of 5 minutes and was $300 alone (I had to pay for the additional 2 extra products so I was already higher than my budget). She didn't even evaluate my skin type or the concerns I brought up. I had a 2 minute chemical peel and then I left. She told me that next time I would get a true facial because the first time she just wants to consult with you and do a minor treatment.

My next facial experience was TERRIBLE! This time the woman at the front desk didn't ask me for my budget. She asked me how I liked my routine that Savanna had set up for me and I said I did like it but I didn't notice any changes. I had paid for a 30 minute facial that lasted 10 minutes. Savanna then starts bashing the products that I was currently using, which was actually given to me by my dermatologist. Granted, I liked my skincare routine and I didn't deal with any breakouts. I get to the front desk to pay for my treatment and she has placed 10 products in a bag for me and is writing out the routine for me about how to use the products but didn't explain to me what the ingredients were or how it was beneficial to my skin. She never even explained to me my skin type and what works for me. I felt so pressured to buy everything in that moment and I never even asked for new products. The woman at the front desk had already scanned everything before I even had the chance to say something. I assumed they would still stay in my previous budget of $300 but I ended up paying $800 for those products. I walked out of there feeling as if she didn't care at all for the interest in my skin and only wanted to look good on instagram and sell her products for so much money.

I called her staff to ask if I could return the unused products and they said no. Most skincare places allow you to return even used products so I wasn't used to this. I ended up using the products she recommended and I HATED them. I went back to my original routine I had before I went here and my skin got better right away.

Overall, a waste of time and money. There are so many other great estheticians out there that care about your skin and this was not the vibe I got from this place.

Yes Savanna has great reviews; however, if you are thinking of starting up with her, please first take a look at ALL reviews and see how many endorsements the 1 star ones get. This signals to me that the 1 star reviews are not anomalies and that people who are adversely affected by her practice may be too afraid to speak out (I know I was for a while).

I don’t doubt that Savanna does do great work… if you are willing to overpay for services. The following is just my experience: She charged $200 for a consult that was scheduled for 30 minutes but actually took 10. She didn’t ask questions about products I’d used and barely looked at my face. This was my first time seeing an aesthetician so I wish I’d known that most providers do the consult for free. $200 is wild and does not seem ethical to me. Then she quoted me between $600-$1000 for her boot camp, which seemed extreme. I later learned that the prices she lists are more than what the original company lists. I was unsure about spending all that money but I did buy 2 products that didn’t work for me. I would recommend that folks just find a face reality specialist in the city near you, who will be able to provide personalized care without price gouging. I got great results from seeing a local aesthetician who actually spent time to learn about my skin and my history.

Savanna makes you feel so comfortable and is so inviting. I always feel so welcome and empowered when I leave. She customizes your skin care regimen to you and my skin has completely transformed. I can’t wait to continue treatments. Go see Savanna and reach all of your skincare goals!
