Very nice professionals, and the doctor very savvy and accurate diagnostics. That's is Sparky, he is a shizu-Maltese, and beings taking care of Schertz Animal Hospital.

Dr Rodriguez is the best

I apologize in advance, as this will be a bit emotional for me. Last year, my sweet red heeler, Clarisse, had a big lump on her leg. She licked it so much that she started bleeding from it. No other vet in the area had walk in hours, but thankfully Schertz Animal Hospital did. They saw her, identified that she’d need surgery and were able to schedule her for one after a few weeks.
She had the surgery and her dental cleaning at the same time. I was given clear and easy instructions for her wound care and medicine.
Unfortunately, I got a call from the vet confirming that her lump was a high grade cancer. So it was no surprise when another lump appeared about two months after.
When I took my girl to get evaluated, the vet gave me the facts, no sugar coating. She wouldn’t be expected to live for more than a month longer. As heartbreaking as it was to hear, I am grateful that the vet didn’t beat around the bush, so I could maximize my time left with her.
She passed almost exactly a month later.
I want to say a heartfelt thank you to the vets and nurse staff at Schertz Animal Hospital. You guys were kind, loving, and understanding. You let me have a realistic timeline for my Clarisse. Thank you for everything that you have done and will do in the future for the fur babies.
Clarisse may be over the rainbow bridge, but I’m sure she’d also be thanking you guys too.

We have been using Schertz Animal Hospital since 1999 and have never had any issues. The doctors and staff have treated us and our pets wonderfully. They’ve always taken great care of our pets. Last night I had to take one of our cats in for an emergency, at the end of their day, and they were their normal, concerned, friendly staff. Dr Mossburg was extremely patient with my pet and was able to make me feel better also. I highly recommend Drs Rodriguez and Mossburg for your pets!

We recently moved to San Antonio and needed to establish care with a local veterinarian for our dog. Dr. Rodriguez came highly recommended and after our first visit, I definitely see why. He is thorough, knowledgeable and very personable. The staff are all very professional and friendly. When it comes to my furbaby I only accept the best, this is exactly what we recieved - the BEST of care.

Schertz Animal Hospital was able to work us in for an "emergency" visit on a Saturday when other clinics weren't able to get us in for a week. We got checked in, exam, x-rays, treatment, prescription take home medication and checked out all within 30 minutes! Thank you for your quick care and all the kindness of everyone we encountered. They were able to give our senior dog a little relief and us some peace of mind until we could follow up with her regular vet later next week.

All my fur babies have been seen here! Staff was very professional, friendly and courteous! Would definitely recommend to family and friends! Prices seem to keep climbing along with everything else!

Have been a client here for MANY years. The most loving and well run office. Everyone is on top of their game. Never wait more than a few minutes from appt.time. Doctors are super friendly and always provide honest opinions.

I have been using Schertz Animal Hospital for many years. Dr. R has taken care of all my pets. He saved my Chester 2 different times and we call him Lazarus. I won't go to another vet. All the vets at Schertz Animal Hospital treat the fur babies with compassion. The staff is excellent.

I was blown away by our visit to Schertz Animal Hospital. The grounds and interior were immaculate, the whole staff was extremely efficient, kind, and professional. Shortest wait time in my life! So thankful to have taken our dog there.
