School of Rock Round Rock

Hands down, this is the coolest "family" we could have ever stumbled into. Every question we have had was answered promptly, and was met with utmost courtesy and knowledge!
I have seen a tremendous improvement in both of my son's (ages 8 and 10) self confidence and focus. They both love each instructor they have ever had and comment every time on how welcome everyone makes them feel. I feel comfortable leaving my kids with the School of Rock staff, as if it were a trip to grandma's! I can't say enough wonderful things about this program! Insiders plus: they offer a discount for military, first responders, AND healthcare workers!

Our son is provided with a variety of musical influences and the instructors give him the freedom to explore a range of musical equipment.

The instructors do a great job at pairing the students with songs to ensure a proper fit for the live shows.

The instructors provide great feedback to the students and are constantly challenging them to perform at their best.

The live performances are an excellent way for our son to gain real experience in gigging at real venues.

Overall, we've been very pleased with the School of Rock and enjoyed seeing the progress our son has made since his enrollment into the program.

My 9 year old has been taking drum lessons here for about 8 months. His confidence has soared and he’s learning discipline as well. His instructor Chris is charismatic and motivating, he’s had all the instructors at some point and my son has enjoyed working with them all. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and we as parents love that he’s working on music we enjoy as well! Thank you School of Rock!

This outfit has a great location, great instructors, and has helped a LOT of people I know get musically trained!

My son and his bandmates have grown such much under the guidance of the SOR teachers especially Brent Meyer. Furthermore, my son gets individual lessons that have him gotten him to the next level of bass guitar playing including writing his own basslines. I have nothing but good things to say about SOR.

We have been part of SofR RR since they opened the doors last year. My son originally started taking lessons there as well as band coaching for the band he is in.
I love the way they just rock out in lessons and learn songs.however, they also will take requests. What I want is Izzy Six to not only be able to play a song, but I want him to be able to perfect his timing and also play other styles of music. When he got there, his timing was already incredible, for an 11 year old.now his timing is just incredible. His instructor Les has really helped him work with click tracks and metronomes to the extent he will be able to do studio work for other bands.
Now, in addition to my drummer son, I have two of my other kids up there doing voice, Rock 101 program and piano lessons. When my youngest son is ready, he’ll be up there too. Then I’ll just officially give Bobby half my paycheck. But it’s worth it.

Awesome owner, management, and instructors! This place really has built an amazing community where kids can learn and have fun and be themselves in a safe environment!

Everything about “School Of Rock - Round Rock” is top notch, 5 Star all the way. The Friendly and Professional Staff, who are all seasoned and great musicians in their own right, are nothing but cordial, friendly and beyond knowledgeable in everything they do at the SOR-RR. I’ve had 2 of the SOR-RR kid bands on my podcast the “CobraCast Podcast with Bobby Sharron” and they have been nothing but positive and respectful everytime they appear. I am a drummer and in a band called Crashing Cali. I take drum lessons there and have since they opened. Our band also takes band coaching there with Brent Meyers. He really helps us develop our sound and parts of our original songs. We have also done some song writing camps with him at SofR RR.
We highly recommend them for lessons and band coaching.

I've been a student here for a little over a year and I can't tell you how great this place is for musicians who want to explore their love for music and take it to the next level. The instructors here quickly become family and have taught me through hardships and some of the best moments of my life. I love it out here:)

This school is unlike any other music school I have ever seen! The owners are nothing short of fantastic and they go out of their way to create a safe nurturing positive environment for aspiring musicians. The instructors are incredible, actual working musicians who invest fully in their students, meeting them at whatever level they are and helping them grow with positive encouragement in a fun, engaging and supportive way.

The students are encouraged to not only learn an instrument or a song, but to explore their interests broadly. Beginners to musically advanced (both youth and adults) gain opportunity through the hands on application of individual lessons and if desired, the experience of being in a performance band. My daughter is involved in the Song Writing Program which is totally incredible, giving her and others the skills to understand and engage in music composition in order to write and perform original music and understand production.

This is absolutely my daughters favorite place to be and we are blessed such a place even exists! I can’t say enough good things about Round Rock School of Rock, our experience has been unimaginable, it has has grown my daughter musically and supported her aspirations to her to take her skills to the next level. We love the family of like minded music loving people, the program, and the total experience at this school! Thank you thank you thank you for what you do RRSOR!

Great, clean space with excellent teachers who are themselves professional gigging musicians! Teachers are very engaged and are invested in the students. Highly recommend.

Where the heck was School of Rock when I was growing up? SOR is such an incredible place where you can be a 14 year old rock! You receive instruction from exceptional teachers, you get experience honing your craft, you go to gigs, you get on stage and play for live audiences, and you get to know what it’s like to have the support and comradery of band life. It doesn’t get better than that! Instructor Joshua Roush is gifted as he is motivational. It’s a real treat to have an actively working musician who is integral to multiple bands teach the next generation of stars. Way to go Josh and SOR!

My daughter, Katelyn Simpson, has been with SoR RR since they opened, and she has grown as a musician, singer, song writer, and guitarist every week. Brent Meyer, Joshua Roush, Kevin Abbenante, Ally Fox, and Alex Vallejo have each influenced Katelyn's music creativity. SoR RR is one big family. Owner -Bobby Durham and all of the staff are always positive and create a learning environment that includes everyone. The performance platforms they offer gives everyone an opportunity to grow as musicians in front of LIVE audiences. If you want to be a well-rounded musician, SoR RR is the place for you.
