Bakery Scratch Kitchen reviews
21FLYS everywhere, including inside the case with the pastries. Way overpriced for the quality and quantity of food. Bacon was flavorless and burnt. Had to leave to get away from the flys!
Really awesome, unique spot in San Antonio. It's inside of an old Victorian home. The patio is beautiful, with potted plants and herbs all over. Delicious food and baked goods. Friendly staff
Cool little place breakfast was great Irish bread on point. It was a little breezy so was able to enjoy my breakfast outside.
Good service and food. Todat they had free dessert given out to people who bought a sandwich meal.
Plan to sit outside as inside eating is limited
Amazing desserts, amazing lunch. The potato sausage soup was delicious. I would come here everyday if I could. Very affordable too and great staff. Honestly, one of my top places to eat in SA.
While the food and service were great, I did get a can that felt like it was opened prior and filled with tap water while it was advertised as a strawberry ginger Kombucha.
Edit: Thanks to a speedy reply, the can was explained accordingly. They respond to any issues you may have had quickly. Great service!
I love this place and always spend a lot of money here. This morning I went by and I asked the guy who worked there if that was every thing and he reassured me that it was all there. I go home and about Half my order is missing! I understand u guys get busy but don’t stand there and lie to my dam face! Over priced food that is cold and burnt
Delicious and SO FRESH! The bread, biscuits, fruit everything was amazing. We ordered a bit of variety being our first time and I cannot name my favorite!
Piggies were delish, quiche, OnPoint. Fruit surprisingly fresh. No idea how they do it. Excited to make my next visit to try the coffee and other menu items. Customer service was greeting, patient and kind
Glad to have found y’all on a morning hunt for a something new for breakfast.
COLD cold food, stale bread, and a loooooong wait time and bad management/customer service.dont complain about the cold food or you'll get attitude from the kitchen/management. Front cashier guy was pleasant though and the fruit super fresh!
They ask for a tip PRIOR to serving you. I would wait til after.
I stopped here to pick up some pastries for a gathering with friends. I got a cinnamon roll, pistachio lime pastry and a danish. Everything was delicious and not too sweet. Would definitely recommend!
Delicious fresh pastries. Sweet low key setting. There is not a whole lot of indoor seating, but there is a little outdoor space. Perfect for a grab and go breakfast. Staff was amazing!
Dude. So so good. It is my official "I hate my job but at least I can spend my lunch eating a lemon bar" place. Broccoli cheddar soup, FANTASTIC. Quinoa salad, GRUBBIN AF, simple salad, Simply amazing! I have tried 3 of thier sandwiches. The pastrami (i think) on rye is my favorite for sure and I have day dream bout those lemon bars.
Had the want not waste not brekki. Not bad. Eggs were well scrambled and no overcooked bits. Bacon was also served just right. The bread was dense and moist with walnuts. Would come again.
What an incredible place, the vibe was so chill, the staff inviting and caring to make sure our breakfast was perfect. I ordered the breakfast sandwich, the bacon, egg and avocado were absolutely perfect. Also had the jalapeño kolaches which were fresh and tasty. To top it all off I had healthy brownie that was absolutely moist and fresh. This place is truly a hidden gem. I’m coming back for a some morning coffee and the great vibes!
Such a lovely place with incredible service! The lunch sandwiches come with two sides and a mini dessert, and it was the perfect amount of food. The outdoor seating was perfect to sit, read, and enjoy. Definitely thankful to have stopped by!
Where do we start here? Hence the name, this establishment makes everything from scratch; from the bread to the dressing to the famous chicken salad-everything is high quality.
Grab a pastry while you order lunch. For $13/$13.50 you get a house choice of sandwich, two sides, and a small dessert (choice of fresh cookie or half bar of pecan, apricot, or lemon).
Best deal in Midtown!
I loved the feeling up to the front door and sweet cozy feel. Then I met the two ppl at the cash register. They both had such bitter salty attitude. However the pastries were AMAZING! Sadly the owners have these &%$# working there.
I will be back and ignore the toxic environment.
The bakery is outstanding and will be back very soon
Finally made it here. It's a quaint little place probably more tables outside than inside so good weather will always be a pleasant sit outside. And let me tell you it's in the name.scratch. Everything we ate tasted like it was made from scratch. My friend had the breakfast sandwich with the egg over easy inside they said they loved it.it looked incredible and the bun it came in was really beautiful. I tried the SK bacon lettuce tomato. And yes I actually asked what the SK stood for duh, scratch kitchen. Perfect combination of bacon and avocado and I had it on the house Made bread, I think it was the multigrain. I love a toasted bread, there is nothing better than crunching into that sandwich. My particular meal also allowed for extra choices. I picked the fresh fruit which was incredibly fresh. And i picked a cup of tomatoe basil soup. Yum. I would have swirled butter or cream cheese in, but that's me. And it ALSO came with a dessert, so I had a half of the pecan bar. I'm so glad I only got half of the pecan bar LOL but believe me I wanted the other half. Young man at the counter was very pleasant explained a lot of things to us and was very patient. You know I love local.get out and try to support places like this. I'm coming back because I had plate envy and I want that breakfast sandwich LOL
They don't not deliver you have to go through a third-party to get deliver and they are a cashless place not what you would expect out of a Texas place. More like a California style. Not for the home town grandma's kitchen person. It's for the new age hipster.
This is such a cute little hidden jem! Make sure you go through the entrance with the green door. It’s a cozy spot to chill and have coffee talk. This is definitely my new favorite spot.
