Sealy Police Department

Got rear ended by someone without insurance In a vehicle that wasn’t registered to them and officer Roose informed me all of that was legal. So driving without any kind of insurance and not having your vehicle registered to you is completely legal I guess in Sealy Texas. Not to mention I have never had such a negative interaction with any law enforcement officer and would have never imagined someone would be allowed to drive away without even liability insurance while my bumper is hanging off. The guy had already given me insurance that was 5 years expired and they continued to do nothing and his superiors are saying he is in the right. And saying they heard none of this from his body camera even though we had a 15 minute argument about needing insurance to drive, register your vehicle, etc. Eventually our insurance company made it all the way to the police chief where we were “mailed” a formal apology. I would be careful driving through here and would not feel safe. Just do a little research into this department and read these other experiences and I’m sure you will agree. There is more horrible things to this story but don’t want to write a book over my horrible experience.
