Senegalese African Hair Braiding, Spring TX

Called this morning to see if they had any openings, the owner told me to come right in! They were so patient and gentle with my daughter! I let them do whatever they wanted and it turned out sooooo cute! We will definitely be back she very much enjoyed her first hair braiding experience! Thanks ladies!

Love, love, love! It’ll be 4 years since I’ve come to this shop & this shop only to get my hair braided, love the remodel, the cleanliness and how safe it feels! Just left, here’s a few pics!

Thank you for braiding my hair it's absolutely beautiful. Very professional, welcoming atmosphere. Everybody was so kind and courteous.

They do better then most braids places and they are fast. Would not recommend for children’s hair as most stylist are impatient with small kids.

They did my hair twice and did a great job. I like that they are accommodating & gladly blow dry your hair without complaint. However, on both occasions I was told a different price than what was charged at the end. Also, they yelled/ talked loudly in my ear for the entire time.

I love Amy so much she is the best. She have a very kind and sweet heart. She don’t mind sharing she don’t mind doing anything for you. Her customer service with the clients is fantastic. She’s the best hair braid lady in Houston. I will always give her five stars if I can get her 1 million stars

DO NOT… DO NOT… DO NOT come here if you care anything about the state of your hair.
I paid $200 to sit in a torture chamber, received nothing but rude customer service and back handed comments (about the hair I brought in), and then it took FOREVER!
Please understand that it took me a while to write this because I didn’t want to speak negatively about this business, but if I can help someone protect their edges and save themselves a migraine…

Do you all remember the old style micro braids? The type of hair used is different from the braiding hair used for freestyle braids… Judging by the age of the ladies that braided my hair, I EXPECTED that they would have worked with the type of hair that I brought in! Not to mention I literally sent a picture of the hair 1 week before my appointment and the owner said NOTHING. NOTHING!
So they complained about the hair tangling easy and that it was cheap etc. (Honey…the hair was not cheap…)
They yanked the hair all through my head, lopped it off in random spots when they ran into a tangle, BUT then recommended the hair to other clients! If it was so bad, YYYYYY even recommended it to the other clients. DUH bc depending on the hair, you’ll achieve different styles! They argued with me about using their hair and then just curling the ends with hot water… not the same style at all!

Before they even begin braiding, they blow dried my hair straight. Omg… I thought I would end up with whiplash! They took absolutely zero care or protective measures when blowing my hair out. I had already pre stretched my hair because I’m tender headed!
Initially I thought the girl was being malicious because she didn’t want to work with the type of hair that I brought in, but nope…they were all just heavy handed like men. A little girl jumped out of the chair and ran to her dad in tears because the braider was snatching her hair all over the place! SHE RAN OUT OF THE CHAIR CRYING! Her father had to beg her to get back into the chair. I wouldn’t dare subject my daughter to torture like that!

Let me continue…
I had 2 different braiders working on my hair because one had skills to do cornrow portion and the other did the freestyle portion, BUT bc I had to wait about an hour for the other braider… it took forever!

So finally, immediately after my appointment and days later, I find myself re- braiding my own hair! They didn’t knot the ends correctly and the braids were coming undone! And I wouldn’t dare go back for them to fix it!

Bye y’all. Be careful about who you let in your head. None of those braiders had their edges and that should’ve been a clear indicator to run!

Rude and unprofessional. Went to another hair salon and heard from customers there similar reports about their bad experience there.

Shout out to Natasha for doing my large knotless braids for $180. She stayed in tasked completed them in 5 hours. She listened to my request and gave me exactly what I wanted. Very gently hands, fast braider and yet so precise in her work. Before I came in, I blended colors 350 and 27 for a ginger, fall inspired shade. I used two packs of each color. (I brought extra hair just in case but we didn’t need it) This was my very 1st visit to the salon and I’m happy to say I will be returning to give more of my service to them.

Love.love.love my knotless braids. First time trying them. Received so many compliments. Establishment clean and the ladies are very professional. It took about 3.5 hours for medium sized. Will book again!
