Seton Medical Center Harker Heights reviews
18I AM A HUMBLE PERSON NEVER TO GIVE A LOW RATING. BUT I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE MEDICAL PAVILION I HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT MY COLONOSCOPY AND I CAN NOT REACH ANY ONE ON THE PHONE I FEEL I AM IN LEFT FIELD THEY DO NOT SEEM TO CARE ABOUT ANY THING YET THE PATIENT HAS TO SUFFER. I AM A PERSON THEY DO HAVE BAD BESIDE MANNERS. I AM SO GREATFULL MY DOCTOR AND NURES THAT I HAVE BEEN WITH FOR 20 YEARS ARE NOT LIKE THE ONES AT SETON: THERE EVEN WORSE THAN SOCIAL SECURITY AT LEAST WITH THEM IT TAKES AN HOUR TO GET THRUE BUT SETON ITS USELESS. THATS ALL I GOT TO SAY. JAMES SPACE A9
Felt like I was being treated as a person looking for a bed or drug there when I'm having a painful experience with allergic reaction no test or really a care by the Dr there. Waited 4 hrs for nothing but done so i will never go there again.
My survey was enough. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to this hospital unless you’re giving birth. The doctor they had yesterday in the emergency department was a disgrace and the nurse. I’ve wasted 3 1/2 hours for nothing. The doctor stated I had no ear infections, meanwhile my face was swollen. The doctor kept looking at my teeth telling me I have a tooth ache and I kept telling her it’s my ear. I go somewhere else and was told exactly what I had figured an ear infection, my ear needed to be flushed and they actually gave me a prescription for ibuprofen and antibiotics. The nurse and Doctor at Seaton in the Emergency department ought to be a shame of themselves.
I am Clyde miller i have been in the e.r. For 4hr.s now i have not been call to see a doctor at all this is not a good hospital if you have to be in the e.r. And i am in so much pain.
The surgeon was terrific - great bedside manner on top of superb skill. Anesthesiologist (CRNA) was excellent - communicated well and was calming. Food was great and plentiful. Everything was clean - rooms, halls. Nursing care was superb! Pre-op nurse very professional and attentive. Post-op nurses Briggit, Anna, Annabel stand out. Nurses were rapid, patient, professional, friendly. Total experience was awesome!
You have a better chance of dying in the waiting room for the er then you do actually seeing a doctor. I came in today at 12: 30. It’s now almost 2: 30pm and I’ve yet to even go back. When I showed up there was only 1 other person in front of me. They went back and now the 2 people after me are going back. This is unacceptable.
I’ve been here with my brother twice, and there has not been one employee that I have encountered that has acted like they remotely cared about their patients. The ED is a joke.
All the staff are contractors and will bill you separately. I went there and they wouldn't do my surgery because I didn't have a ride home and uber or taxi are not acceptable. If you stay overnight you're no longer under anaesthesia but that's the insurance policy. I have no local family so will fly out of state or out of country once AGAIN. I can deal with that but ALL CONTRACTORS is the reason I hate this place. The last time I was there I went home for the night and came back the next morning and the nurse billed me separately $1800 for "monitoring". They didn't even know I left the building.
I don’t know if some people are getting paid on here to leave a good review because this was the worst hospital ER we have ever been to. The woman at the front desk was beyond unprofessional and uneducated.
She did not even know my daughters bleeding disorder and had the audacity to ask me with a nasty attitude how to spell it. Waited for hours with older ppl laying on the floor and people puking all over the place.
The triage nurse told me that she never heard of my daughters bleeding disorder, funny because it is the number one bleeding disorder in the United States.
How are these nurses not educated. After 6 hours I decided to leave against my daughters Hematologist will from Dell children’s hospital. The nurse used such a big needle on my daughter that her arm did not stop bleeding for an hour. I did not feel comfortable them giving my daughter any treatments.
Really shameful and inhumane how people got treated in there.
I told everyone I know not to ever go to this ER.
I was at Seton Medical Center for a MRI which had been ordered by my Ophthalmologist. The staff at Seton were efficient knowledgeable, and friendly. I had very little wait time, and the MRI was accomplished in a timely manner.
An ER that covers their water fountains up because of COVID on Apr. 12,2023. Refuses to give you water and tells you that your ONLY option is to buy some from the cafeteria. IF THEY ARE STILL OPEN! A hospital that refuses to give you WATER! I would have given it a zero but that wasn't available
The Staff was friendly and attentive, I didn’t have to wait long, I was in and out soon, I was very impressed with everything.
Outstanding care from admitting to discharge ~The Seton ER staff ROCKS! Professional and informative plus compassion and concern for my well-being, and a bit of humor thrown in made my visit actually pleasant! And after my hip was put back in place, I was able to walk out of the ER and go out to dinner!
I took my Mom in after a serious fall. She was greeted with a slight wait but was triaged quickly and when she was brought back it was all hands on deck per se. Dr. Abraham Feshazion and Tessa the RN were on top of assessment’s, starting IV’s and ordering tests. After some tests came back, Tessa was prompt with insuring pain medication and nausea medication were given. Taylor the X-Ray tech was extremely professional and kind. They treated a gerontology patient with patience, dignity, and a through exam. Once my mom was cleared for discharge we were gone within 30mins. Very quick compared to other Emergency Rooms. The only thing I would recommend is their housekeeping personnel NEEDS to have some eyes on their work. Being in a hospital environment, clean floors, walls and furniture with the trash cans dumped after the previous patient had been discharged is just as important as the type of medicine practiced. If y’all are short on housekeeping, hopefully you are hiring for the position and they understand that their role is just as important as any other within the hospital and patient care. Being a Nurse (now retired) I stress how important these things are and how much their position is a key role with patient safety and feeling comfortable in their environment. All personell is key with a patient’s experience. I also learned that Tessa is familiar with patients with Systemic Lupus. That brings comfort in knowing that she knows how to assess and meet their needs. I mentioned this because I have SLE and if there is ever a time that I might need medical attention. It’s a good resource for our community and care.
5 STARS for the medical staff!
The day of my surgery I was super scared and nervous and even though my OB Dr Hankins did more than assure me I couldn't have asked for a better surgical staff.from the nurse to the anesthesiologist to the OR staff. My fear was through the roof so I had one nurse hold my hand and distract me, another wiping my tears, one hooking me up to the monitors and last but least one more to wrap my legs to keep the blood flow going. I could go on and on but fact is huge huge shout out and more than a thank you to the full surgical team and of course my doc and her staff.
I’m giving Seton one star because I’m 38+ weeks pregnant and fckn miserable and they won’t get this thing out of me!
I had a total right knee replacement The check in process and next day release from the hospital went outstanding. My surgery staff were very professional and informed me about the surgery I knew I would be in outstanding care. My overnight care was one of the best everyone was polite and respectful. My room was always clean. I am pleased to give everyone a big thanks job well done.
First and foremost, I want to thank my Dr. Varma and my very special night nurse Jia who I become to appreciate dearly, she went above and beyond in every way to show her professionalism and why she is a nurse and that is to help everyone in need, I just felt like her ethics’s were incredible and to me I know in my heart that I got extra special care, during the hours of the night that my dear wife Cheryl, couldn’t be there she truly helped me recover. I do know I can be more than a handful! The reason for three stars is I didn’t feel after 4-5 days I should have to ask for a clean gown or fresh clean sheets. I know in life you can’t please everybody more can everybody please you! Overall my Dr, my charge nurse, the whole staff were incredible with exception of one and I don’t have to mention names and we were like oil and water in a hot frying pan and that’s ok and I will definitely be back with a smile on my face
