We have had a awesome experience here with Professer Anthony SALANGSANG love the classes my son is being Taught

Bought my son a few classes here. One bad experience after another, but today was the last straw. The intructor called my child lazy. Didnt have his GI in his size days after i ordered it. Not professional. Wont be going back. If i could rate zero stars i would.

Signed my nephew, who has a slight learning disability, up for classes after he went to 1 free class. A week later I hear that the Wednesday kids instructor called him lazy and then proceeded to do nothing when the other kids started teasing him. That is not what martial arts stands for. Also, some of the parents where snickering at him as he was trying to learn something new and how to stand up for himself. So shameful. Would not recommend.

In my very little experience with SSF MMA it’s definitely the best choice if you want to improve in martial arts in general, I was sadly only able to do one/two free class because of the pricing (which is the best in town for MMA surprisingly) but in those two small windows it was definitely a great experience I’ve been around too a few MMA gyms trying to find some in my price range to no avail and from what I’ve noticed most gyms in the mesquite area focus more on weight loss, boxing or on younger kids but in SSF I almost immediately noticed a different feel, one of the students we’re helping me learn how to escape a hold and it was so weird when I realized how little control I had, in one day I was pretty humbled haha in fact I was kind of scared to even try to go back! Well I suppose I didn’t end up going back. That was about a year ago when I was a freshmen now a sophomore and I can’t seem to forget about that damn gym! So in short if you’re looking for a place in the mesquite area to improve at martial arts I’d say go with SSF, hell maybe posting this will give me the determination to scrape the money together to get myself a month!

I have to be honest in my rating of this school. While I did enjoy learning some new things that I will continue elsewhere, I do feel like some of the staff lacks professionalism. For some people thats a deal breaker.

My son loves it, his time here has helped him build character, skills, restraint, and he is still learning. He has come a long way. Thank you to the Professors for your patience and instructions

If you're looking for quality training, and professional training from coaches and teachers that are well equipped and knowledgeable in optimization of the human mind and body then this is the place. The caliber of talent and the authenticity of the training system is incredible this is a phenomenal place that I thank God for this place. Since my first day I've been welcomed with arms wide open everybody's been patient with me and my growth. There's no better form of therapy than what I receive by being able to pour out my heart every time I step on those mats for training.

Where to start! This place is life changing. It has been so much more to me than just an mma gym. I’ve been here for only 6 months and I’ve improved so much already in my martial arts and as a person! High level jiu jitsu, Muay Thai, and boxing but also has a great structure for beginners. The kids classes are amazing as well there’s a lot of legit little warriors! Full of great people who I call family now!

Kids not being made to bring all their gear such as headgear and mouth pieces makes it harder for the kids that brings all their gear to learn appropriately. The coach is great and does the best he can with what they bring but we all pay and want our kid to get the most out of. Been coming here for a long time now and the changes are not for the better. Seating is awful. My son has gained lots of confidence throughout his time here and trust the coach in his teachings so I do not want to switch gyms.

Anyone looking for some Great MMA or Boxing Training, look no further. The Coaches here are fantastic and great with kids! My daughter is 12 and loves the new experience and is always excited when it’s training day!

Great place for both adults and kids. My daughter has been coming for three years and loves her coach an staff. I'm g lo ad she comes here. We just started our grandson.

SFS MMA is a great place for kids and adults to learn and train in all types of MMA. My son and I took classes for a few months and had a blast. Fun and friendly staff that really cares about there students!

Great instructor and great environment. Took my first class there recently and can’t wait to go back!

The front desk lady is very rude, she hung up on me while I was talking because I couldn't make it to the trial class. Please do not attend class here!

I can't say enough about these wonderful people! They genuinely love the kids! Professor teaches with encouragement and love. When one of them cries or has a problem he sits everyone down and talks to them about winning and losing like a great Father would do. And everyone loves Joe he's so cool! Being here has given my son such confidence! I just wish I would've found this place sooner! Do your kids a favor.take them here!

Great coaching staff and everyone is more than happy to help out. Wouldnt want to be anywhere else

My son and I have trained here for the last year and a half. Having no pior martial arts experience, we didn't know what to expect. From day 1 everyone has been helpful and encouraging. Last night I competed in my 3rd competition. If my team mates weren't competing, they were in my corner coaching or cheering me on. SFS is like family.

This is one of the best gyms I've been too, the coaches are really involved in your training and the people here are super friendly and fun to be around. I will definitely continue training here!

My son has been training in this facility since Aug 2016, and has learned so much since. Not only do they teach Jiu-jitsu and the different techniques, but the sensei and coaches teach them discipline, respect and self-confidence. I am very appreciative of Mr. Salangsang and the coaches Nate & Joe, and all the effort they show. The gym is always clean. Staff is very friendly. And we are proud to be part of this SFS family!:)

Class act! Im so happy to have found this dojo. After years of searching and trial and error I've finally found a dojo where the trainers all share the same passion and respect for the art. Anthony is very knowledgeable and extremely skilled at his craft and has mastered several different disciplines. He takes his time with each individual pupil to make sure they are comfortable. He teaches the youth something that is lacking in society today. Respect. I was very impressed by the way he treated his pupils.
Great place for kids and adults, beginners or pros. I highly recommend them.
