Shabu - Japanese All You Can Eat reviews
16My son and I really enjoyed ourselves. Best service in San Angelo. We will definitely eat here again.
First time enjoyer of the hot pot style. The vibes, atmosphere, food, and personnel were all top tier. It’s a big taste of Japan stored in a little building in Texas. As long as Shabu is in business it will continue to get mine! 10/10 will recommend.
We went when it was pretty slow.very affordable for unlimited food. We didn’t understand how the restaurant works but our server was very kind and polite for us.come here if you are very hungry because we thought we were hungry but quickly filled up.very excited to come back and try this again with more experience. This place definetly deserves more business.
Lunch was amazing today! AYCE! Includes sushi, rice, dumplings, sauces & desserts! So good! Multiple different meats to choose from including lamb, bulgogi, ribeye, shrimp and more! The fruit juice was really good! Our server was great! Everything was Outstanding! Highly recommend!
I had heard about this place from friends and decided to check it out. The atmosphere was nice and the food was delicious. And our waitress, Tina was very sweet and attentive. Definitely going back with the kiddos.
The food was really good! The service was amazing explaining the menu items and how everything works. I will definitely return!
The food was amazing and flavorful. I ordered the fruit tea to drink and it was good. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant.
The food was delicious and the amount we got was worth the price. Amelia (I'm not 100% sure if that was her name or not) was very helpful and patient with us since it was our first time eating there. She answered all our questions and was very helpful with us. She was very attentive and super nice and friendly. The place is very well decorated which gives it a nice aesthetic to the atmosphere. A bonus that I liked very much was that they were playing Kpop music which I think fit the environment very much! Will definitely come again!
Hands down this is one of the best places to eat in San Angelo! If you don't visit this place you're truly missing out.
Our waiter was absolutely amazing! He helped us get settled and explained everything in a really simple way. I had an awesome time trying new food and I will definitely be back again!
Very cool experience. The food was great, Tina was lovely, and I couldn't have asked for more. Perfect for a date night.
Very clean friendly staff ready to help you with your order explaining the food and how to prepare it the buffet was full and sushi was awesome thanks will come again
Tremendous service, if there's one thing I can say about this place is that they do not fail in any aspect In delivering only the best quality food and experience. Decor is really set up in a way that makes you feel as if you are an authentic Asian household. You could tell that the food is made with care and love. Me and my friends grabbed the Asian steak and had dumplings and fried rice on the side and every single aspect of what we ate was excellent. I can see myself coming here for ages. I wish these guys nothing but the best and I think that's San Angelo really has what I would consider a hidden gem. One thing you will expect is that going to be leaving with a full stomach and a smile from ear-to-ear. Love SHABU!
I had the hot pot for dinner. I ordered a Pepsi for my drink. By looking around as you walk in, it’s easy to tell they set the dining area upon a tight budget, but it’s good in the most important area: food
Pros: the meat was fresh and plentiful and had good variety. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. The broth was flavorful. Good selection of make-your-own dipping sauce ingredients and a couple recipe options on the wall.
Cons: where are the vegetables? There were the basics - sliced button mushrooms, bock choy, broccoli, corn on the cob, bamboo shoots, and lettuce as the vegetable selection. I do hope that as the restaurant becomes more established, they expand their selection. It’s hard to think that a can of Pepsi now costs $3, but times are tough, I suppose.
I had the spicy broth. It had hot peppers in it and it tasted very good, but it wasn’t spicy.
Overall, I would eat here again. 4 out of 5 stars for San Angelo. In a bigger city the rating would be lower.
My little family highly enjoyed the experience, the atmosphere was cozy and the food was great very good. Def, will be back soon
