Shabu Zone reviews
17Great food and excellent service. Our waitress kept bring out fresh meat for us. More seafood choice compared to similar restaurant in Houston area.
Great and tasty. Servers were friendly and fast with bringing the meats and clearing our plates. Will come back many times.
Celebrated a birthday here. It was phenomenal food was great servers helped us because it was our first time trying hot pot. Highly recommend.
Buuuu. The worst of the worst to go if you are Hispanic except don't waste your time, your money and your peace
Great quality meats served to your table to enjoy in your own personal hot pot. Customize it however you want, veggies, seafood, meats, sauces, spices. Highly recommend.
One of our favorite restaurants in Houston. I hate to rate it because I don't want more people finding out about it. It's that good, and if you dont end up liking it, it's your own fault because you're cooking it!
Lots and Lots of Food. Many choices for soup. Staff is always ready to help in case you need anything.
I personally did not like it. Service was excellent, but the foods didn't have flavor, and the sauce station didn't help. The sesame oil seems diluted. Meet was also just ok. For wagyu cuts, I expected more tenderness. I wouldn't come back, as I have had better shabu elsewhere.
The services were excellent, but the food was not that good. Need more option on veggie and more drink option. A little upset but will be back to check out again
They should let ppl know they have to cook their own food and give some class cooking before
First time here. Love everything about this place. Very clean, excellent service and the food was fresh and delicious. Wish they have lotus roots on the bar, overall, everything was exceptional. Highly recommended.
Their place is for beef lover, juicy and high quality beef. Their hotpot was yummy too. They also offer free dessert like ice cream or fruits.
The food was delicious and fresh. Customer service was top-notch! If you're looking for expansion, please consider Frisco, TX. We only have Haidilao here, and it's not even half as good.
I really likes this place! Very cool concept and nice atmosphere. Lots of fresh seafood and meat to add to your choice or broth and it really turns into great food and fun concept. Was invited here for a birthday dinner and returned within the week with my husband for a date night!
A very nice ayce hotpot place. They do close at 3pm for 2hrs to prep for dinner just fyi. Lunch was good here in my 1st visit. Clean salad bars with selection of usual veggies, seafood, noodles and fish cake. Broths were simple but honestly what you cook in is what you’ll determine the flavors. Meat selection were limited on lunch, but still enough to go along. I like the fact they had a premade sauce selection so from there I’ll add some extra to my liking. Oh…you can switch broth as well! Definitely worth another visit.
I love the place plenty of carbs, vegetable, seafood, and meat to choose from. Great service and friendly servers. The sauce bar could be a little better but I don’t mind to much. The meat quality is great it says wagyu but probably is like American wagyu or something but still very good. I love the selection of mushroom and seafoods which is a buffet style. It is a little pricey now compared to before but worth the money. My biggest complaint is the table are to small you aren’t able get alike to stuff to put on the table but really overall great.
Nut allergy friendly. They say to mention it to your waiter but I haven't had to. Most of the nuts are on the sauce bar in the corner - the main one on the island is pretty nut free. The sauce I make is very simple - spicy ponzu, chili powder, green chili, sweet garlic, and some green onion.
If you like hot pot but hate sharing a pot between six people, shabu-shabu is a must try. It's hot pot, but everyone gets their own pot and hence their own choice of broth.
Shabu Zone's broths are a little bland. I got the Spicy #2 and it was not spicy at all. This is easily remedied by following their suggestion of cooking your seafood first, which does add richness to the broth.
A common complaint of hot pot is that all of the meats blend together. This is only true if you overcook your meat. Thin slices of beef take seconds to cook. If you leave it in the broth, then yes, you're getting overcooked, bland, stringy meat. #1 and #4 meats were very flavorful.
The seafood bar is not the freshest but it is adequate. Plenty of hot pot style vegetables, like four types of mushrooms.
Overall, a great time to enjoy hot pot.
