Shapen Toyota, Marshall TX

I purchased a 2024 Toyota Sequoia- Limited at Shapen Toyota, in Marshall, Texas, yesterday. The whole process, from start to finish, was smooth as silk. I was given a very fair trade in value on my 2019 Sequoia, in fact more than I expected to get, and the deal was done. My sales rep was Darrel but I’m sure any sales reps would be easy to work with. The owner, Mr. Shapen, was on site and ready to help with me each time I saw him. This is an attractive and personable dealership in the East Texas area.

Still a trash dealership.no loyalty just a typical money hungry dealership…boarded up couple years…. Take ur apology and put it with your lowball trade and your $1650 price markup

Add 3000 mark up just because we live in Houston? That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Stay away from this shady dealer. Y'all will regret treating people like that.

Shapen Toyota is the best, Kyle was my sales, he was nice and patient. Order 2023 Sienna in June 2022, got my Sienna in January 2023. Six months wait but it worth. Love the Minivan, she is beautiful. But still waiting for the second key fob.

Great customer care in the service department of Shapen Toyota. A. J.went above and beyond in helping with a repair needed on the hatch hinge on my Highlander. I've visited this service department multiple times for maintenance checks and now I've needed repair. Maintenance checks are always quick and easy. The two people at the front desk of service have been very helpful too. If I knew their names I would give them a thumbs up as well. I highly recommend Shapen.

Terrible experience. Internet buyer. Double talk and just straight lies. Wanted to charge 1800 for some ceramic coating (but if I used Toyota Finance, they would lower the cost.not to mention the three hard credit hits I told them not to do). I said no on both. They went onto say that the add on was already put on the vehicle and they wouldn’t sell the vehicle without the extra cost. I said ok I’m walking, but they countered and I finally agreed to $350 just because I was tired of the back and forth game with the salesman/sales manager. The old wear the customer down dealer strategy. Flew in to pick up the vehicle noticed no super duper ceramic coating add on, not even a wax job (paint rough to the feel). Just a bold face lie. Asked about two keys prior but they would never answer. Only one set. New smart FOB $350. Asked if any paint work…nope. Front bumper was definitely painted. Always had good online internet buying but this experience cured me of ever doing it again. Buyer beware

The entire staff of Shapen Toyota are top notch! I've had the best experience from the day I purchased my SUV to the routine maintenance. The last two years, I have been lucky enough to have Beau as my salesman. He goes above and beyond to help me anytime I have questions to scheduling routine maintenance. I have never experienced this level of service from any other dealership and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Shapen Toyota!

Worst experience ever. Back in October of 2022, took our money and told us he was ordering us a Sienna. Kept calling every month telling the car was on its way but that if we were in a hurry he had another car available. Each time the car would be over priced and not what we wanted. 5 month later Darrel Fugler admitted that he never ordered that car. If I wanted that specific car we needed to wait another 6 to 8 month. They are liars. Best part the dealership manager would not even pick-up the phone to talk to me.

I feel so very fortunate to have found Shapen Toyota in Marshal TX through my internet searches. Tyler, Kyle and Wendy not only met, but far exceeded my customer service expectations!

I bought my Rav4 here 3 years ago. My daughter & husband each took turns driving on our return from a trip. The next day I noticed the sunroof was open about an inch and couldn't get it to open or close any further. I took it in expecting to pay for diagnostics and most likely a relay. When A. J.went to move my car into the bay asked me, "Now what's wrong again because the sunroof is closed. " In shock, he then showed me the OTHER button that causes it to go up & down. WHAT! I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT WAS THERE! I have always used the left side button to open it.
I was ecstatic. A. J.was so nice and laughed with me over my extremely happy reaction. It was a miracle saving me money. So thankful they are honest and I wish them a Very Merry Christmas!

Simply put, they are a no BS dealer. Simple, easy, no pressure transaction. I will definitely look at working with them on future purchases.

Made an appointment to purchase a car and when I got there the car was not. They loned it out and made no effort to get it back to sell it. It's not even a larg lot and they don't know what is there or not WASTE OF TIME.

Darell and Wendy were great! As a first time car buyer getting financing was almost hopeless to me but they got it done for me. No hiding anything from me to the sticker price of the car to the financing. All disclosures were given and my options were given to me as it should have been. Also no ridiculous dealer markups that dont give any benefit to the customer. I would recommend anyone looking for a toyota to come here!
