Sharkey's Cuts For Kids - Stone Oak, San Antonio TX

Highly recommended for birthday parties! We held our 8-year-old daughter's "Glow with the Flow" birthday party here and it was such a memorable experience, one that our daughter and her friends/family will never forget. There were so many games and props, all the kids (ages 3 -13) were fully engaged and had such an awesome time! The hostesses were very attentive and fun! We definitely will be coming here again for haircuts and kid salon services!

We have been here a handful of times and have always had good experiences. My son loves it. The cars and TV is pretty standard at kids places but we appreciate it! We visited last weekend and had a first visit with Reyna and she was AMAZING! We were already happy with Sharkey's and usually saw whichever stylist was available, but Reyna gave my 4.5 year old the best haircut he's ever had! She was so sweet, kind, patient, and relaxed. My son's hair looks fantastic and we had such a great experience! We will definitely only be booking with Reyna from now on!

My grandson likes this place and the stylists do a great job. What I don't like is the girl in charge there corrects the staff in front of everyone and is just generally rude.

Brought our baby boy in for his very first haircut. We had Margo! The haircut turned out great despite baby boy moving around like crazy. Margo was super friendly and patient with him the whole time. Highly recommend and we will absolutely be returning.

Very disappointed with my one year old’s first hair cut experience. We arrived at our appointment time and waited 20 minutes because the stylist (Kassandra) was finishing up with another client. When it was finally our turn she completely rushed through the cut because there were other people waiting. We paid for the “first boy haircut” package that comes with a lock of hair, pictures, and a certificate. The receptionist came over at the end of the cut and handed us a bag to put a lock of hair in which at that point was already all on the floor. Kassandra kept trying to finish the cut and said “is that good? ” Several times when I was pointing out issues I saw. We finally left because we just wanted to get the heck out of there and when we got home we realized how terrible the hair cut was. It’s completely choppy in the front and looks cut straight across, she went way too high and far back over the ears, and way too high in the very back by the neck. This is a horrible haircut and experience that we paid $32 for. We will not be returning to Sharkey’s.

Teresa did great with my baby boy! This was my son's first salon hair cut. Loved that we could choose something for him to watch. She was very patient and kind. Made me, my dad and my son feel welcome. Would for sure recommend

Margo did a fantastic job on both of my son's haircuts! Everyone was very nice, the salon was clean, it was a great experience for us and we will definitely keep coming here.

The lady that cut my daughter's hair was nice and cut my daughter's hair super cute, but I knocked off a star because the check-in lady was rude and kept grilling me about my reservation. Asked to see my reservation several times (after my daughter is seated and I'm trying to explain to the stylist what I would like for her hair). Probably not going back.

All in all a great visit. My sons first hair cut experience was impacted by the fact that earlier that morning I tried to do it myself…. So the original hair dresser we had booked wasn’t comfortable with clippers and we definitely needed those!

A new stylist was assigned to us and everything about her we loved. She was confident and was able to push through my sons uneasiness after asking us if it was okay. She navigated his wiggles and once he was comfortable in the chair went in with the scissors and tuned up.

The manager/ front guy was accommodating and navigated through all the kids emotions in the store.

There’s a few easy things that could be done to make this overall a 5 star experience! We will be back:)

ATHENA did a horrible job cutting my son's hair. She claims she has 8 yrs of experience but is lazy so she Won't listen to anything parents say. She did a mushroom haircut on my son and refused to fix it so now his top part of the hair looks layered instead of blended in. Okay location but do not choose Athena!

Took my 18 mo in for a haircut. We'd been here several times before so even though it was a new stylist, we were expecting a good experience. Teresa spent the entire time trying to tell us how using the clippers are better even though we'd already said we preferred scissors, and trying to speak to my kid in Spanish (I'm Hispanic, but we don't speak Spanish to my child so nothing she was saying to him was going to be helpful in that regard). We left with us and my child frustrated and his chair looking choppy and uneven. Didn't say a word about it, just figured we'd use someone else next time. When we paid we were quoted $22.50, and then I left a tip of $6.00 as a courtesy even though I wasn't totally happy with the experience. Tonight I get an emailed receipt and find that they stylist added 2 x $12.00 for an item "Pongo", whatever the hell that means leaving a total for an 18 mo haircut at $41.48.

Unbelievable. Teresa is a terrible stylist, sucks with the kids, is unprofessional, and apparently a thief now too. I will not be returning.

Nicole did a fantastic job on our son's hair! She listened to exactly what we wanted for his haircut and did just that! She didnt rush us at all. She was nice to my son and very calm. Made the process very easy for everyone. We even came in a bit early for our appointment time and they were able to take him early, that was much appreciated! I didn't catch the front desk lady's name (she has cool pastel color hair) but she was very nice as well. We will be back

We are so great full for Margos patience and gentle hands. 1.5 yr old boy came for his first ever haircut and we couldn't be more happy with the service and his new look! Thank you Margo! We hope to come back to you in the future!

They are so good with kids! Margo has done my kids hair a couple of times now and we love her! The kids get to sit in a car, watch Disney plus and they get a balloon when they are done.

I have been taking my grandsons to this location. The boys enjoy it, and they do a great job. I have even started getting my haircut at the same time.

Sadly this place is only lipstick on pig. While the facade may seem inviting, the employees are anything but. After making an appointment online we realized that the Google reminder sent was eastern time. Needless to say we were late. When we asked about being “walk-ins” they said they would have to see if they could fit us in. After watching the stylist “wait for their next appointment” for 45 min we decided they had no intention to fit us in. We will certainly be trying a new place as this one seems to not care about it’s clients. Perhaps we should have believed the negative reviews pertaining to this location.
