Sharkey's Cuts For Kids - Alamo Ranch, San Antonio TX

Sad that I have to leave a review like this when my daughter is a regular. Called on 3/19 to see if we can come in as a walk in and was told yes… arrived at 2: 15 pm and was told by the blonde with a face tattoo that “ I should have came earlier” and I said it’s not the fact that I should’ve came earlier it’s the fact that I was told yes I can walk in. Don’t be rude to the next person that tries to show up or gets wrong information over the phone call.

Alma is amazing! We started going with our son who is autistic and non verbal so getting a haircut for him is a bit rough. But she’s so patient and talks to him to get him to relax. But last time we went we got a different lady and she was super rude and annoyed because my son isn’t the easiest to work with. She didn’t give me time to hold him properly and didn’t give him at least a couple seconds to breathe. She just rushed through so she could get it over with. Just booked his next appointment and I was thrilled Alma was still available

My son's haircut came out good but the environment is so bland. There was no fun going on in there. All the kids looked so bored, no music, the workers were not very welcoming or talkative.just your everyday haircut place. Not like the other sharkey's locations I've visited outside of San Antonio. Next time we will go to a different sharkeys and see if it's any better.

Multiple times I have scheduled appointments for my 2 sons and one is canceled the day of. I scheduled these appointments in advance so we didn’t have to walk in. They should make an effort to reschedule the appointments of a stylist that calls in. I do not recommend.

Recommended. Very child friendly stylist place to take you child to get a haircut. My child always loves getting a haircut here. Its a fun atmosphere fir kids and adult to bring their kids to. We've been here twice already and will continue. The stylist we've had and from what I've seen offer great service and seem to love where they work at. Its been a great experience for our whole family.

I'm really very disappointed.
They're unfriendly, they don't have skills, they don't have manners.

Disappointed I literally walked in and the lady at the front desk asked if I made appointment for today I said no and so proceeded to help a lady who walk in behind me and when she was done helping her she told me their not taking walk ins so upsetting I don't plan on going back at all not just that their wasn't any customers their and they had 3 stylist there as well

Our first experience with Olga Vasquez not so good, She had bad actitud with my son! Her customer service was awful and she did not cleaned up properly Definitely never coming back!

This place did a great job doing my son’s first haircut. Highly recommend this place if your looking for a great way to celebrate first haircut. Place does get booked up fast, recommend scheduling a week ahead on weekends.

Came as a walk in for quick trim and was told I'd have to wait because they had appts arriving in TEN minutes. Four ladies and all sitting on their phones and I was the only one waiting.ridiculous. No appt ever came and they finally took my daughter. Waited for no reason. Receptionist was LESS than pleasant as well. Seemed annoyed I even walked in the door. Dont advertise walk in's welcome if theyre not.
Do not recommend.

On time for my appointment, good cut just not what I asked for at all. Good place, just make sure they understand what you want and does leave your child side at anytime or they can end up with a completely different hairstyle

Our son got his first haircut today & we had such a good experience. I would 10/10 recommend Alma for your service. They even offer discounts for military, first responders, and teachers! The only reason this is not a 5 star review is because the receptionist I originally scheduled with seemed pretty rude. Overall glad I didn’t let that first impression change my mind.

The staff is very nice and patient. Making appointments online and over the phone is fast and simple. They’ve done really good with my both of my sons’ hair!

This was the second time taking my 2 year old son for his haircut and both times they ladies that cut his hair were so patient and nice. I imagine it's a very difficult job to cut such a small child's hair when they don't stop moving, but both times, they made it look easy and were very patient and gentle!

1st time today & Olga was amazing! My 10 month old baby was well entertained & she was so quick & made my son look so cute! Will be coming back!

Susan was AWESOME, she took her time with my son, even had fun. My son had A LOT of hair. Thank you so much everyone loves my 2 year olds haircut!

Staff was not as friendly. I had 3 haircuts one of the girls was awesome and so kind with my kiddo. Other not so nice. We tried to conversate or interact and not even a smirk.she actually seemed annoyed the entire time. I don't recommend her. The other ladies seemed great but it was our first time there. Not sure how I feel about going back

Sharkys was unpleasant for us. Got there as a walk-in.was told had to wait unknown time which was understable cause of no appt. But when u have no customers for awhile and lady's are just standing around on there cell phones that's not right. They could have call a 2 year old up and gave a quick hair cut. I will have the pleasure of taking my business somewhere else. SHARKYS LADIES ARE SO RUDE!
