16I've been training with Blaire the past 4 years and my posture, strength and flexibility have improved greatly. I had a nagging shoulder injury that prevented me from certain movements but I'm now able to use it within normal range. Blaire knows when to push you or when to modify. If you're looking for a safe and healthy way to improve your fitness and ability to move throughout your day I highly recommend Sharp Pilates!
I've been practicing Classic Pilates since 2013 and was so happy to find this studio after moving to Austin this year. Blaire is super professional and her classes are delightful!

Thank you so much to Blaire at Sharp Pilates for offering virtual Pilates classes to the first responders and healthcare workers at my organization! Blaire is a wonderful, patient teacher and her classes are a great way for us to relax and take care of ourselves during this highly stressful time. The virtual classes are a lot of fun and Blaire makes it easy for Pilates beginners (like myself) to learn the moves and have an awesome workout!
Can’t say enough great things about Blaire. I’ve now seen her numerous times over the past several months and I don’t see that changing any time soon. I’ve never realized how disconnected I am from my body but Blair does a fantastic job helping me understand what isn’t working and why.
Additionally, I had zero Pilates experience up until the time we crossed paths.
I would strongly recommend giving Blaire an opportunity if you haven’t already. She even has these awesome classes on Thursday mornings that are complementary if one is simply curious.

Blaire is absolutely amazing! She is one of the only Romana's Pilates instructors in Austin and will put together a training program specific to you and your goals. What's great about Sharp Pilates is that you get an incredible workout and an instructor that cares about form, which can be very difficult to find in town as many places have huge classes. I highly recommend Sharp Pilates!
My favorites Pilates studio in town! I love working out with Blaire and Janet! I have been doing Pilates for 8 years and have tried seven Pilates studios all around Austin.
I have lower back problems and the orthopedic surgeon said I could track towards surgery or try Pilates. Only the Romana, classical, Pilates offers a pure method that allows me to minimize pain without injuring my lower back. I have avoided surgery because of this method using various apparatus. I have not had a back seizure in eight years!
At Sharp Pilates, they teach the true classical method of Pilates. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I am overweight, but they make me feel comfortable by making Pilates approachable for everyone. If you want to get stronger and more flexible, this is the place in Austin to do it!
Blaire is a fantastic Pilates instructor, hands-down the best you will find in the Austin area! She is expertly trained in classical Pilates and teaches her clients how to build a life-long practice toward better health. My husband and I have been working with her for a few years now, and I cannot recommend her enough. She has been able to quickly identify our physical needs and tailor our practice to help us heal any chronic injuries. Through her holistic approach, I've grown stronger, gained better posture, reduced joint aches/pains, and have become a true Pilates believer! Any day that starts off at Blaire's studio is a better day. Sharp Pilates is the real deal!
Blaire is the best. I started going to her because I was looking to add something new to my workout routine (i’m a huge yogi). When I began, I THOUGHT I was in great shape…. But then I got on her mat. And reformers. And was completely shocked at how challenging her classes / pilates really is. I’m sore after every lesson-in all the best ways. As an instructor, she is patient and kind and quickly became my go-to here in Austin, and the style of pilates she teaches is unmatched. Book a class, you won't regret it.
Blaire is that rare teacher that sees your potential from the start. And she pushes you with care until you see it too. You see it in the results that you start to get almost immediately and the sturdiness of your frame throughout your practice. I’ve been doing Pilates for 15 years and classical Pilates for 10 years. My experience with Blair has been excellent. She is a talented professional who encourages you to do more than you think you can. I’ve become stronger and more confident in my Pilates practice.
If you are thinking about trying Pilates, try the classical method with Blair. She meets you where your fitness abilities are and takes you to new places. The studio environment is filled with warm and friendly people helping you to reach your potential.
Great studio! Great work out! Blaire is great to work with and very understanding when to push me and when to let me relax a bit. I had never done pilates before I started working with her. Working with Blaire has been a great experience. She is patient, but knows when to push her clients. Since working with her I’ve noticed I’ve gained more strength, flexibility, and body awareness. As a fitness enthusiast I’ve had to deal with multiple injuries. But, since finding Pilates I’m a believer that “change happens through movement & movement heals” — Joseph Pilates. Every session with Blaire is fun and challenging. She is patient, friendly, and is obviously very caring about her clients. I recommend giving her a try!
I've had a life-long ankle injury that has prevented me from doing many things, including giving up running in 2017. I have had PT and all kinds of treatments (including surgery) and still didn't see improvements. Working with Blaire at Sharp Pilates has not only helped me get my ankle stronger, but it's helped me get out of a lot of pain. It's not completely gone, but every week it gets better and better. It's because Blaire treats the whole body, which in turn helps with a lot of acute pain. She is patient and empathetic, but also pushes where she knows she can, and she cares a lot about her client's progress. She is a fantastic instructor. I've gained mobility in my ankle, as well as strength, and a lot of flexibility. On top of that, I feel more confident in my looks, I stand taller, and I've really gained great muscle tone. Highly recommend working with Blaire!
If you’re looking for a studio with loud music, a lot of reformers, and quick-paced movements, this studio is not for you. However, if you want great instruction, one-on-one guidance, and exposure to the classical pilates method—Sharp Pilates will be a welcomed change for you. Blaire is professional, engaging, and caring with each of her clients. She listens to their needs and tailors each session to make sure people are growing and feeling a change in their bodies. If you want something different where you know you’ll see results, I suggest giving Blaire a try. Every session I try something new and it’s inspiring! Definitely try her over traditional PT for back pain.
