I needed help because I was stranded. Loretta was awesome. Best experience I had in Taylor was meeting her.

I have been to many food banks and this was my first time here. I was shocked when I got home. They gave me a case of 6 large containers of grapes, all molded, 5 bundles of rotten bananas, a shriveled up zucchini, bags of salad that were out dated by a week, trash, oranges with black spots on top, raspberries that expired the next day-but were on ok, bread with mold, 5 cans of vegetables, 2 meats, one outdated by 10 days, spaghetti noodles and small can of foreign sauce, squash that was squash, carrots that were still acceptable 95% of the food had to be thrown away. I know beggars can’t be choosers, but sitting in line for an hr just to get items that were not edible and from a Christian organization was very heart wrenching and will not go back. I do not know how they get a way with this. So sad.

Oasis Church in Taylor has a food bank on the first and third Friday of the month at 5: 30 pm and it is great!
