Pollock fish very good, a 1 piece fish salad and 2 sides for $725, Can't beat that and Very tasty, The Onion Rings or Very Good

Always friendly. The food seems was always great and still great. Prices are reasonable. The plates are are not skimpy.

The service is awesome. I like that we don't have to call the waitress, she always keeps our drinks filled and asks if we may need anything else. Oh and senior menu has a great selection. For having a fixed income the prices are just right.

This is home cooking with Mom's love. I've only had 4 items on the menu but can't wait to try more. Chicken fried steak, hamburgers, fish sandwich and the kids loved everything they had. I will return for more

My sister ordered.the senior cod she told waitress and showed her menu when she was charged it was regular price when she told cashier her response was didn't you notice the size of the cod was full size. We have only been there a few times and she has never ordered cod so there's no way she would know this.bad customer service she should have called waitress over to confirm what was ordered and there was 3 of us telling her that's what was ordered. We still gave waitress over 20% tip even through it was not a good experience. Don't know if it's worth loosing customers for $3.

The staff is alway great even during the rush. The lunch specials are excellent and priced right. They food is delicious and comes out fast and hot.

Must try the fish and jumbo shrimp with the cornbread batter. Simple but very delicious with some tarter sauce, ketchup, lemon and Tabasco. The shrimp are battered very nicely which makes for a nice crisp with tons of flavor. Service is always great. Support local and enjoy a San Antonio stable for good fish fry.

2nd time here and it's really good home cooking. We had 3 different plates and you see in the pics. I had the fish and shrimp plate and it was really good. Wifey had the chicken tenders while mom had the chicken fried steak. No way you can finish that, it's too big.service is good and fast.parking is in the back so don't freak out when you see the front. It's an old school look but the food is good. Only 4 stars because the CFSTEAK need flavor.keep it the way it is but add Little more flavor to the meat. That's my only thing I would do. Fish, shrimp are great. Wheelchair access.older crowed.will be going back. Me fui.

HUGE PORTIONS FRIED PICKLES WERE REAL GOOD HAD FISH AND SHRIMP EVERY THING WAS Delicious FRIED MUSHROOMS ONION RINGS AND CHEESE STIX WE GOT THE APPETIZER PLATE WITH ALL THAT ON IT

Food was really good. The serving size was huge. I was definitely not expecting that. I wish I took a tea home with me tho.

Love Texan but Lately Not Up To Par. Have Brought Attention To Ashley. Nothing Has Changed. WE ORDER OFTEN, 2 DINNER JUMBO SHRIMP PLATES. & SHRIMPS R ALWAYS DIFFERENT SIZES. PLATES ARE EXPENSIVE & FEEL WE SHLD GET WAT WE PAY FOR & ORDER. VERY DISAPPOINTED, No 1 Cares I Have Mentioned it Seversl Times. NOTHING HAS CHANGED"!

I have been here 3 times so far and so far Sherry hasnt let me down. Im from N. C.so it makes me miss home just a lil bit.

This was my first time eating here and the food was great I will definitely be coming back, my only complain was that the fish plate only came with 2 pieces

My family have been regular customers for many years. I would say at least 40 years. The food is excellent and the service is great.

I have been eating at the texan for 50 plus years and the Fried Shrimp are second to none. Nobody in San Antonio has anything like the batter, taste and size of the shrimp. The best of the best. If you have not ate the shrimp, home made onion rings, steak fries, and anything else on the menu your missing out. Sherry and staff do a great job.

I went in for a seniors chicken fried steak and the steak & fries were delicious The veggie of the day we're dry with no taste in the salad was Brown

I loved my hamburger steak and mash. My son loved his burger and demands to be taken back for his birthday. Good old fashioned country style food.

I love this place! Food is always great and not a long wait. But today 9/3/2021, went there and arrived at 715 a.m. And there was a sign stating they weren't opening until 11 a.m. Due to short staffing. There website said opens at 7 a.m. Also, the weekend before was going to go on Sunday because the site says they are open. I called to make sure and the lady said, no they are not open Sundays. I understand they are short staffed but they really need to keep the site updated. Very disappointed.
