What a fantastic salon and "Kat" is an absolute artist! She did an amazing color & cut on my long, thick hair. I highly recommend this place!

I had a tone/glose appointment with Tanya, the price online was 45 and they give wash and hair styling for free. The service was really nice I love my hair and Tanya was really good and professional. The reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because they charged me 70$ without tip or anything just for toner. Please don’t trust the price online. I was thinking to go back but I changed my mind after I saw how much they charged.

I have been coming here for the last year and half since moving to Texas and have never been disappointed. This is the first place I have lived where I have an established hair stylist that I see every few months and am so happy with both her and the salon. I have recommended Tanya to several of my friends who have all been very happy. She is beyond professional, easy to talk to and genuinely makes the whole experience pleasant. I highly recommend both Shine salon and Tanya!

My boyfriend got his hair cut by "Tanya. " He has curly hair and wanted just a trim. She cut off about four or more inches. Absolutely horrible service, didn't listen. I hate hairstylists that just do what they want to do. He didn't have a bunch of split ends or anything like that. Absolutely no reason she should've cut off that much.

Just got a call to cancel my appointment because I couldn’t come in earlier. If you don’t gave accurate online scheduling then you shouldn’t have it available.

I went from natural dark brunette to my dream color I never dare to try. Kaitlyn gave me realistic expectations, walked me through the process, and even gave me follow up plans for maintaining my look. She gave me care instructions for at home but also, she totally knew what to do for my naturally fine, curly hair.
I'm never letting anyone else touch my hair again.

Update as of December 28th - The stylist who was mistakenly scheduled with me reached out personally to make things right and I came to get a haircut with her today. Even though the scheduling issue and long wait at reception was not her fault, she was very kind to get in touch with me. Randa gave me a really great haircut and did a gorgeous style. She took her time and got my requests exactly right. If it were a rating on the quality of the stylist alone, I’d give 5 stars. In the future I will go through her (not the online system) to make an appointment for her services, because she did a great job.

First review:
I absolutely do not recommend this place. I scheduled an appointment here today at 2: 30 and I had been sitting and waiting for over 20 minutes when I finally asked the receptionist if the stylist I had scheduled with was still with someone. She said that the stylist wasn’t even here and didn’t know about the appointment because it was scheduled online, but that she’d be there “in 15 minutes. ” So there I was, having already waited for a stylist I thought that was there, with the prospect of more waiting for an indefinite amount of time. The front desk girl wouldn’t have told me unless I asked her apparently. If she had said up front that the stylist wasn’t there, I wouldn’t have wasted the 20 minutes I did in the first place. Lack of professionalism and uselessness of their online scheduling system makes this place a no-go.

*editing to add - if the girl at the front had let me know right away that the stylist wasn’t there, I would have gone on my merry way with no issues. Scheduling mishaps absolutely do happen and that’s not a big deal. But the lack of communication and transparency made me feel like I was being jerked around, and coupled with the nonfunctional scheduling system, that was my main issue. I am returning to see the stylist I tried to schedule with and if the experience with her is good, I will tweak my review to encompass that.

I have been coming in to do my hair cuts with Sara and my facials with Erika. I have never had anyone cut my hair correctly since it is curly and Sara has done such an amazing job each time. I love how my hair looks like after my haircut. As well as Erika she is very kind and amazing at her job. I love how she does my facials and how she makes conversation with me. She has made me feel very comfortable and my skin always feels amazing afterwards. I have had a couple interactions with other staff there and again they make me feel so comfortable there and they are all very very kind and helpful.

Loved my facial with Erika! She took time to explain everything she was doing to address my skin concerns. She creates a beautiful, relaxing experience; from the aromatherapy to the incredible neck and shoulder massage. My skin looked radiant and I felt rejuvenated! Thank you, Erika!

I always have a great experience at this salon. I've been coming here for a few years. I've recommended coworkers and family and friends here. I love the chill atmosphere here and how they don't try to be all super fancy and uptight yet it's still a really nice place. I used to feel so uncomfortable going to the salon before I found this place. I love that my stylist doesn't just use me for her instagram portfolio. The rates have also remained reasonable IMO. No complaints!

Sara is amazing and she is so knowledgeable. She is so patient with you and I love her business. Daniel her son has been also treating my hair and my daughter’s hair and he is wonderful as well. He is careful and try to help you as much as possible to make your visit a total experience. I totally recommend you to try shine salon and spa and ask for Sara and Daniel.

If you are looking for a quality facial treatment, don’t look further Erika is your person to go, she gives to your skin the care it’s needs. She is even bilingual what other thing you can ask.

I booked for a class facial with Erika. She texted me to introduce herself, get a gauge on what I was comfort with for our appointment and to see if I had any questions! She was so sweet. When I went in for my appointment, she was super warm and funny! I loved chatting with her.

She helped me decide what we'd want to do with my skin. She recommended microdermabrasion to help my skin feel newer, smoother and more even. She even said it would help the small acne scars I have! She explained every step of the process so to make sure I felt safe and comfortable.

I 100% recommended Erika. She was so friendly. She made me feel super welcomed and comfortable and my face feels so soft and amazing after our appointment! I can't wait to go back for another.

Erika gave me one of the best facials I have ever had. By looking at my skin she knew what I needed. I love getting the microdermabrasion and skin brightening treatment. I can’t wait for my next one.

I struggled post COVID shut down to find a place I felt safe enough to get my hair done.

The salon is beautiful and well maintained.

Christina is absolutely epic. She's so good at what she does that she developed her own shampoo and conditioner line.

I have noticed significant changes in my hair since. Plus I never leave the salon feeling anything less than perfect.

Shout out to Katelyn for working my daughter in for her senior prom hair! Thank you for helping us out! Highly recommend! She did an excellent job!
